    City crews like in Akron Ohio could learn a lot from this process. Rural roads have used this repaving method for many years and driving on these roads is a pleasure. Regularly done keeps the roads in perfect condition. Only downside is, stones being thrown up and dust, by cars, until it completely sets up. Thanks for the vid. 😀😀

    Fuck chip seal. It's loud to drive on and only lasts a couple years before it gets torn up and starts destroying the front of your car because of all the lose gravel. Chip seal is the cheapo alternative to tar and in my opinion they should keep this stuff in Detroit and Chicago

    • @plagueriddenmark145
      @plagueriddenmark145 8 років тому

      But they won't do so because as you say it is the cheap alternative. and they probably don't want to spend, so that seems the perfect option.

    • @kens97sto171
      @kens97sto171 8 років тому +7

      I think it said they are using crushed rubber chunks. not gravel. On higher speed roads I agree it's noisy and chips come off. In a neighborhood like this probably fine. Also this is Arizona. so the heat and lack of freezing may make it work better and last longer.

Hmm not our job so all go home.

    You would never see the state work that fast in Pa. Shit they would have had at least 2 breaks by now and then start getting ready to go home. They put a drain pipe in on top of the hill near my house, I stopped and ask why they would do this and they said to stop flooding. Now I lived there 26 years and the top of the hill never flooded because all the water ran down the side of the road, called a ditch. Saw 17 men and 6 or so trucks setting and watching a like a back how taking the snow off a small bridge. I watched 4 men put up a stop sing warning sign, took the 4 men 4 1/2 hours to put up this sign. Need more guys like these in my township and state.

      The British are so much more served about this kind of thing and find the unnecessary display of the flag rather poor taste. I forget who said that patriotism was the last refuge of a scoundrel.

      What flag should we waive the Mexican flag? Canadian flag? There is absolutely nothing wrong with waiving the flag of you nationality. In the UK it, is being branded as a racist thing to waive the Union Jack which is why they don't waive it as much. And they are trying to do that same bullshit here in the states.

    Brilliant stuff, how to lay a new road in minutes. In the UK, everyone would be standing about in their hi viz outfits doing fuck all for days while the roads are coned off causing traffic chaos.

    • @oitzharveyxd3227
      @oitzharveyxd3227 8 років тому +1

      Draxindustries1 yep 10000000% agree but when they do try doing a version of this they make a fucking tip and the tar to stone ratio is off so the stones fly everywhere scratching cars in the process

    • @jaelskaneakua8610
      @jaelskaneakua8610 8 років тому

      Draxindustries1 I. Hawai'i it's the same way as you say it is in the UK. everyone standing around for 8 hours and they take a whole to get a block done and won't finish the rest as this new around that was onoleted starts to get jacked up they complete the other half and then come back and cut up the roads to lay pipes. talk about backwards and double job

    • @Draxindustries1
      @Draxindustries1 8 років тому +2

      Over here they take longer to lay out cones and barriers plus various other road signs than to actually do the job! Its health and safety gone mad in the UK, reams of paperwork, check lists, steel toe cap boots on site even if you dont even get out of the truck cab, Hi Viz everything, a yellow hard hat for the labourers while the 'man in charge' wears a white hat and when things go wrong it takes 6 men to stand around looking at it! And then just as you say come back a week later and dig the road back up..

    • @oitzharveyxd3227
      @oitzharveyxd3227 8 років тому +1

      Draxindustries1 totally agree

    • @jaelskaneakua8610
      @jaelskaneakua8610 8 років тому +2

      Sounds exactly like Hawai'i. What's more messed up is that one project is going on and about a block later another. If you try to dodge one project, there's another waiting for you right around the corner.
