Thanks Joe! Please make a video on SPINNING ELBOWS!! Setups, proper technique, combos. The one on spinning back fist was amazing! But we all need the knowledge on shorter range, angles & tactics. Thanks in advance

I feel like angling your shin in (tucking it in) instead of pillars is better no? That way you can minimize direct shin on shin contact and your knee is more prominent while also raising the leg more as a result, in case they kick really low in anticipation of a block. Basically giving yourself a chance for them to miss or maybe their shin just slides down yours in one of the worst case scenarios you misread them.
But pillars would be more beneficial if they are kicking my leg with their the top of their foot (where the ankle connects to the shin) for some reason. Maybe as a result of misreading the distance or not being experienced to kick with their shin
    Merely observing I’m a noobie
Also toes down feels easier and almost natural for a noobie just starting out but toes up I can physically see and feel my shin muscle pop out providing a cushion so I agree toes up for sure
