- Hey guys! In this video, I go over my experiences with the renntech tune and eurocharged tune. I discuss the price, reliability, and performance gains on each one! Also, to reiterate what I said in the video, the best time i got with the renntech tune was 4.4 seconds from 0-60 mph. With the eurocharged tune, I got 3.9 seconds. Again, the road I did the testing on was very bumpy, bad summer tires, and hot weather (less oxygen) all made the performance values a little bit lower. But don't worry! I'll link both the videos where i got those times during the video.

I just want to say that the price difference is mainly because RennTech honors your 4 year engine warranty at least with AMG or Mercedes, I think it's the CEO of RennTech that used to work for AMG, so they definitely are specialized in AMG Model vehicles vs Euro Charged. Also Euro Charged only offers a year warranty vs a 4 year warranty from RennTech. So it does matter if it voids your warranty especially if you're trying to cheap out on the tune and parts. I rather pay almost 30 grand that I paid for my tune that includes, Upgraded Turbos, ECU Upgrade, Downpipes, upgraded CPC Unit, BOV Adapters, Air Filters and Fuel System Upgrade, for gains of +336HP | +137LB-FT TQ, for a total of 1017 HP/871 TQ and keep the 4 year Manufactured Warranty than having to dish out about $60,000 out of pocket which is what my engine roughly cost for my 2021 AMG GT 63S. So my point here is, you definitely " save money " with EuroCharged for the tune, but, if you car breaks down you will pay more than what you will pay with RennTech or Brabus, they both offer ECU tuning and honor your 4 year warranty. If anything was to happen to your car you just take it to Brabus or RennTech and they fix it for you at no charge as long its under warranty and if the break down wasn't due to abuse or negligence obviously, thats just my 4 cents for what ever it's worth. I also want to state that I didn't post this comment to contradict your statements or ideas expressed on this video l, I just wanted to make a slight correction as a educational stand point so your viewers can see and have a better idea of what's out there js.
Not true, mercedes benz corporate will not honor any warranty if the car is tuned. You may work out an agreement to not void your warranty with the local mb dealer who sent your ecu in for a tune, but if mb corporate finds out, your warranty will be flagged (ecu voided). I know from experience. Just want u to be aware before you are placed in a bad situation if something happens to your car engine. I recommend to only take your vehicle to the mb dealer who helped to get the ecu installed.
Not exactly it's up to the dealer in many cases, so if the dealer installs the RT tune, you may have some coverage, up to them. If they don't I believe EuroCharged has a better warranty, although it is extremely hard to use.

I have a 2018 E400 wagon with 70k miles that I've owned since new. I've not made any modifications to the car and until recently have been very pleased with the stock performance. That said, I thought I'd see what options were out there for giving the car a bit of a performance upgrade. I'm a complete novice and this video has been very helpful. As I write this, the handheld tuner from Renntech is priced at $1,900 - still substantially more than the Eurocharged unit. If I were to go with the Eurocharged tune, what other modifications should I make to get the most value out of the tune? I'm not willing or interested in replacing any exhaust components or making major mods to the car, but should I replace the air filters and the stock spark plugs? I know my car will never be as quick as my neighbors E63s wagon, but I would like to get to over 400 hp and improve my 0-60 and 1/4 miles times. Thanks, in advance, for any advice you can share.

Intersting idea here. I ordered a Dragy based on your video. I'm going to compare transmission tunes with a stock engine, a 2014 M157 in the Mercedes CLS63 S AMG which makes 577 hp. The stock transmission is a 7-speed 722.9 unit. I'll do 0 to 6 pulls, then apply the tune I'm getting from Eurocharged, and do the pulls again, and see what the numbers look like. I'll also give my butt dyno impressions as well. I have dyno charts from Eurocharged, and will share those. This should be an interesting video, and thanks for making yours... it has inspired me to "get with it" and show more before and after. THEN... if I like the TCU tune, I'll order up an ECU tune, Stage 1, and do the same thing. I'll have the stock Dragy as a baseline for everything. Good stuff, thanks for sharing this.

I'd say yes. I have a 2013 e550 coupe with renntech ecu, to get the max power to support the ecu new power, u need a tcu upgrade to allow the car to shift faster. Trust me u want the tcu tune with with an ecu tune. However I wouldn't pay more than $1800 for the tcu tune.
How is the reliability with Eurocharged compared with Renntech? I had a Renntech on my CLA45 but I just bought a brand new E63s and am trying to decide.
Reliability is just as good. Renntech is overpriced imo but still a good tune regardless
EC is a bit conservative, especially with TCU, unless you really ask them to push it. There are also ethanol flex tunes as well.

The car does 4.1 bone stock.What altitude are you running at? And tires make no difference its an awd car.

Ummmmmmm. Why is it when I do a 0-100km/h on my C43 with Eurocharged stage 2, I do a 3.25 only with downpipes and 11.07 1/4 @ 123

It depends if you get a MyGenius, you should be able to switch back to factory tune on EuroCharged as well. Sending ECU to them is not required any longer. You could buy a second ECU have them clone it and tune that so you have one always ready to go.

Eurocharge only because they have tcu tune which is a great combination with the ecu tune. U will need a tcu upgrade to allow the car to shift faster. I have a 2013 e550 coupe with renntech ecu tune. Currently working to get the tcu installed by eurocharged. Actually renntech has a tcu tune now, but it's two times the cost of a eurocharged tcu tune. Had renntech ecu tune since I got the car fall 2012.

And with eurocharged to flash it back to stock to take it to the dealer you have to ship the ecu to them and they flash it back themselves and you have to do this every time you take it to the dealer

Tunes aren’t all about the numbers, i used to think they were and i now realize a quality tune is important. Not saying amr isn’t quality, idek enough about them, im just saying do your research before
