I have just bought one of these and am waiting for it to be delivered. Very excited! One question I have Josh is how you think these would play on winder greens? My smash factor has come down to 1.7 on the Quintic but I wonder how this will play over the winter? Will you be able to review this in slower greens?
My recent DF3 purchase . Some details which may help others. i tested all the LAB models I bought the "actual" putter i was testing. (DF3) it just seemed to sole itself behind the ball instantly a bit better than the other DF3 models I increased length from my normal 34" to 35 inches due to comfort and performance i tried the upcharge shafts but ended back in the original shaft as i preferred the feel. I have already forgotten the price this putter is that good.
Hey Josh great review of the lab putter! I have had my DF 2.1 for a few years now and absolutely love it… I was always a traditional Scotty, Cameron Newport to style of putter until I got this lab. I know there’s a lot of haters out there that don’t believe in the technology, but I definitely notice a huge difference in my stroke over the last few years since using it. I actually have thrown the light the shape of the whole DF one now that I’ve had it in the bag for a while. Would love to see a follow-up video once you get it outside and game it for a while.👍
Awesome video! Do you have any regrets about the color choices? I want to do the red with white shaft but I’m afraid it might be too bright and distracting
Commented yesterday saying a review of the putter would be great, missed this video🤦♂️ Going to get one, anyway i can make it you get a kick back from my purchase?
I really want to order it heavier, am bit scared how much heavier. Felt the Mezz max was a bit light in the hand as standard and usually like a heavy putter
Why not show HLA on GSPro tiles ? This is a great thing to show especially with that putter to show if the ball is being struck squarely. O.O HLA is goal.
@@joshoddyHLA will show pushes and pulls on putts. PS... You putting matt may also be limited you good numbers because it moves and jumps a little. Just an observation as I'm having to do mine better too because of this. Just give a false true roll number an distance because the ball bounces.
It took me about an hour to decide to go for the red. Glad to see somebody else took the plunge. I also got the white line all the way through. Golf companies, however, need to stop splashing their logos all over their boxes. I ordered two wedges from Mizuno six weeks ago and somebody helped themselves to one of them on the way. A plain brown box would not have advertised the contents. Still no replacement and now you've got me worried my LAB will disappear in the same way.
Pros play golf for a living. Everyone would play this if it was that much better than other putters. Fact is putters are highly personal. Doesn’t matter what the putter looked like if it guaranteed a better roll.
Sometimes the pros don’t have much choice. If they’re contracted to a company then they have to play their clubs. Unless of course they’re one of the big stars.
The same was said about Ping putters back in the day. Not many people know or remember this, but one of the complaints of the Anser model when it first came out was that it was 'ugly.' LAb is still a startup company and already have guys on Tour using it (most recently Mickelson). No putter is for everybody, but LAB is taking the torque out of the putter so one can eventually learn how to swing the putter without having to manipulate the torque. If you're a good putter and have been putting for 20 years like the Tour pros have it's understandable not wanting to change your stroke that has worked for you. But if you're not and never really can manage to putt better for a long period of time, it may be something worth looking into. Lucas Glover is glad he did.
This is probably the only putter played by pros, especially multiple pros who have won pga championships this year, that aren't getting payed to do so. No one playing a lab putter gets payed to do so, they do it because they want the best for them
How could you say "this is absolutely stunning" when you removed the head cover? The state of the head on that thing 🤣🤣🤣. Only Phil can get away with using this. Everyone else definitely can't pull off taking that out at their local club 🤣
Just mot for me. I average 29.1 putts per round with a blade putter. Just a simpler look. As good as you putt you good putt well with any thing including the box.@@joshoddy
I have a DF2 it’s a brilliant club. I now regularly go round in 29 putts.
Seriously considering the DF3. I believe that LAB is on to something that is both unique and beneficial - the latter being the most important.
yes they are unbelievable!!!!
Just got one. First round this Saturday. Can’t wait

they are different gravy I really like how stable it is to stroke!
I went heavy head too…..great feel.
heavy head so pure
Just ordered mine. Struggle with those 4-10 ft putts. Always brushing the edge.
At 4:28: “I’m quite traditional with a putter” says the man with a L.A.B. Putter in red and white! Haha
Just with the line hahahaha

Of course as soon as I am outside I will get it filmed!
Have you tried the tpt shaft do you notice a difference. Would you do standard weight or the heavier which do you feel is better?
Heavier is defintley my prefference!
Just waiting for the broom release! Have the Mezz MAX and the DF2.1 already. The red head and white shaft looks dope!
Yeh I’d love to try the broom just to see how it helps the stroke.
@@joshoddy Join us Josh! 😁😈

Is your shaft a white accra shaft?
yessir
Did you order this direct from LAB Golf? For I was concerned about customs charges?
yes go direct to there website!
I’m kind of partial to the looks of the mezz. Any major differences you notice between the two?
Just feels very stable!!! Mezz is still stable though!

Give it 10 years and read this comment back! They are becoming more and more popular as time goes on.

Keep the box, through the putter away.
