I noticed that Dalglish set up three goals in this game, and I found out that he is credited with 167 assists over 515 games, to go along with 172 goals scored, this doesn't include those passes that led to goals. He was my favourite player, at the time and I never appreciated how good he was -he was some player!
I have hazy memories of watching the scores on that day. I think someone won 8-0 in division 1 as well as Doncaster beating Reading 7-5. Weird what you remember
