  • In this video, I've shown a VU meter using transistor BC548 and BC558 and with Zener diode 1n4148.
    Required Components:
    Resistors: 1 KΩ, 10 KΩ
    transistor: BC548, BC558
    Capacitors: 47μF/ 25v, 1μF/ 25v
    Diode: 1n4148 (Zener)
    Miscellaneous: LEDs.

Your soldering skills are great. I would love to see a video tutorial of making solder tracks on the perfboard circuits you build.

Sure, I'll try to make this.

You are an awesome teacher. Are you self taught or educated in electronic engineering?
That would look awesome in a thin frame with the light difused using tracing paper under the clear plastic poster frame material from a craft store. You could make like 20 of them for under 20 dollars. Thanks for the idea. The frames are garbage quality but the parts can be reused perfectly for multiple projects like this to make them look like they were built professionally.

All the ground (Audio signal and power supply) should be connected together.

4148 is not a zener diode. It is a signal diode.
