With huge respect for Cory/AquariumCoop.....this might be my favorite Dean video ever!!! Between egg and free swimmer is where everyone has trouble (including me). I hope everyone finds this as wonderfully clear and helpful as me. PS....love the bloopers and commercials.
I’ve been looking for a video that shows me how to breed cories! I’ve researched a lot and heard it’s easy, but so far this video has given me lots of information! Thank you!
I just love the way Dean explains things in his calming voice. So good to see you collaborate with Dean and bring these awesome videos across to the rest of the world to enjoy. Excellent work! 🙌🏾
OMG!! You came to Washington!! Sadly, you came at the worst time of the year. I wish you could've been here when we're at our best, but I'm so excited for all your content here. I live about 45 minutes away from Aquarium Co-op and I'm so excited that you came and visited and made these videos!
I watched this video yesterday morning, i noticed there was a storm coming to my local area yesterday evening, so i did about a 40% water change with fresh cold water, & today i have taken out about 100 eggs. :) & they're still spawning as i type this. :) the advice worked a treat. many thanks. :)
Just want to say I always appreciate extra details with fish breeding videos! I want to see literally everything including how you pour out waste water. I've had so many times where I've watched videos on how to breed a fish only to realize I don't have all the information I need once I try it myself. Really appreciate that you include this small stuff, and the more the better!
Great video Nick! I would love go breed some of these guys in the future. Did you also have anywhere i could contact you about personal matters? Thanks!
Been a while when I watched everything you did by yourself and with CO... always a mellow rendition with a lot of common 'cents' information with any subject fish wise. Thanks and continued excellence for your endeavors.
This is exactly what I've been looking for. So many videos out there but they miss small details which most people wouldn't know even though it's obvious to someone experienced! My Cory's have just spawned and although I've never bred any fish I'm giving it a go, really appreciate this video!
I love corys! Especially bandits! Over a month ago I got a group of seven. Before coming out of quarantine and moving to the community tank, they left some eggs and I´ve got two fry growing up! Today I found another egg in the community tank and moved it over to the other tank to keep them together. Who knows I´ll intentionally breed them later this year. They´re so awesome!
Dean thank you so much for your brilliant advice in all areas of the aquarium! My sterbai spawned the first time and I got 20 babies! Nick thanks to you as well avid watcher of your channel, from Scotland 🏴
I love your videos I wish you would posted more I keep looking everyday to see if you have posted but I just keep watching your old videos I’m 14 and love fish and really wanna come to your shop and meet you one day
I didn't try, but my corys have produced eggs many times. I collected a few eggs a while back and hacthced about 7 new cory fry from that. I've never seen any fry hatch if eggs left in tank with the fish. They usually eat the eggs first. Put the eggs in a mason jar with a small air bubbler, with some methalnae blue and went from there. Did a water change using the main tank water every day for a while until they got big enough. Then moved to a 3 gallon where they are at now and growing great!
Great vid. Wish you could ask him about water hardness. Hear in TX my water is like liquid rock. Great for African cichlids. How would Dean recommend working with that for Cories?
Hi, all your videos are great! Just wondering why you don't always introduce full name and store/site (if applicable) of some of the people you interview?
Hey bro keep up the good work I really wish you would post more I’ve been watching a video for a bit now can you make one breeding your super red Bristlenose pls
Can someone tell me how many litres for 9 Corydoras he is saying 20 long high or long but I suppose it’s in inches ….so how many litres for one tank ? Thanka
😮question I never noticed air in the hatched and what about heat? I had about 100 hatch 3rd day stared all dying in batches 😢what did I do wrong? I’m trying another batch tonight
My local pet store did not tell me that corydoras were schooling fish. So I got a bronze one. A week later I could see he/she was acting stressed. So I went to get more today but they only had 1 each of different kinds so all I could get was 1 albino, 1 julli, and 1 axelrodi. I'll get more next month but my bronze cuddled up to the julli cory right away and was much happier. I should do my own research before going to the pet store next time. The girl told me to throw away the duck weed that was in the bag. Umm, no! Lol. I have planted tanks and it helps keep the ammonia down so I kept it. It's just worrying when I think about people going to buy fish thinking these pet stores know what they're talking about when most don't if they're big named pet stores. 😕
Would they hatch in a room temp tank? 71-72F? My Cory's keep spawning and I would like to save them. I don't however have a lot of extra time to dedicate to them. I do have a nursery tank for my livebarers that I could use, I only keep the Littles in there so I they wouldn't get eaten.
So I have some fry that are about 2 weeks old. The eggs came unexpectedly. I never had cory fry before.. I did isolation like u did with out methylene blue, I ended up with about 34 fry. Now that they are two weeks old I had to move them to my 20 gallon mystery snail tank because I needed my 10 gal for a Quarantine tank.. will they survive??
My group of 6 paleatus cories spawn in my heavily planted community tank everytime I turn around like there's no tomorrow. I leave the eggs because I only have 2 tanks at the moment but so far I've had 2 baby's beat the odds and survive in the tank and thrive. I also have two cw027 highfin brevirostris Cory's I found at one of my lfs in a random assorted cory tank 😅 they had no idea what they had and only had the two sadly so for my third tank I plan on making them a proper big group although they are hard to find ❤ because the lfs didn't know what they were I got them for such a steal! ❤
2:52 They go in a tank by themselves because if another species of Corydora doesn't get triggered to span at the same time, they will likely eat the eggs of other corydoras
I really like watching Dean he’s so calming to watch. 😊
Not too mention he's sexy as hell.

Thank you both so much!
Such a nice guy. Shares his knowledge and speaks with great clarity. Good video!

Thanks for showing every detail! I REALLY appreciate that. I would also have liked to see how he transfers such small fish to the trays.
Great video Nick! I would love go breed some of these guys in the future. Did you also have anywhere i could contact you about personal matters? Thanks!
Hey, you can send an email through our website :)
All good thanks! Love the content!
I could watch dean talk about breeding fish forever. He’s so knowledgeable and an amazing teacher. You can he did it for a living.
I made two fry tanks like Dean designed. I've found I'm having better success rate when I squeeze a sponge filter into one than if I kept it spotless.
What you mean by squeeze sponge filter in one?
Great video! I've been researching how to breed corys for a little while now and this helped fill in some missing pieces. Can't wait to try it!
He’s such a cool dude
Can’t wait to see all the content you’re getting from these tours. Imma be tuned in like 👀
I love the fact that my two favorite fish keeper/ breeders in one place. Been watching you since the start so glad this came to fruition! Keep it up

Yes sir. We, all, do in fact want to watch your process. Thank you.
Been listening to advice from dean for yoinks, I hope he knows what an asset he is to the hobby.
Awesome video! Thank you!!!
Thank you so much, my gold lasers layed a bunch of eggs the other day and I have fry right now using every step mentioned in your video.
Nice. Love the thoroughness of the explanation with you knowing which questions to prod for more detail.
Dean is so adorable 🥰
Watching this while i smoked the same stuff as you did before his video. 💗
😂😂😂

Great video, short and to the point
Nice video Nick and Dean!!😄 love the bloopers😅
Love all the questions you asked Dean to get the good details!! 😍 awesome video thank u!! 🙏
Red cherry shrimp with the eggs help keep down fungus as well.
Excellent explanation! Thanks for sharing your knowledge. Greetings from Belgium
great video as always....will certainly be having a go at this in the future with my peppered corys.
I really appreciate this video!!!😊
Great vid. Wish you could ask him about water hardness. Hear in TX my water is like liquid rock. Great for African cichlids. How would Dean recommend working with that for Cories?
When the eggs are in the containers on the side of the tank, how do you keep the water to the correct temperature? 👍
Amazing info, thanks to you both for sharing!
I love Corys.
Will you ever livestream again. I just came from LRB livestream, when i saw you last minute 😊
I wish someone would sale those breeding trays.
That’s great you came here to the US! Like others said, winter at its peak though. Lol
Great video. So easy to use your simple tips with years of experience from you😊 where do I order the plastic hang on tanks?
Dean the man 👌🏻💪🏻
Dean knows his 💩
Hi, all your videos are great! Just wondering why you don't always introduce full name and store/site (if applicable) of some of the people you interview?
I love types of videos too. Thanks for sharing
Hi please can you tell me what are the plastic boxes you hang on the tank that you add the eggs too?
Hey bro keep up the good work I really wish you would post more I’ve been watching a video for a bit now can you make one breeding your super red Bristlenose pls
Your videos
you and dean in the same video amazing
Awesome video my friend keep it up kid I love Dean thumbs up kiddo 👍👍👍👍👍
Banger!!
10/10 video, deans #1
What background are you using on the tanks Dean?
Dean is the best!
Are the eggs fertilised internally or after the female has layed them?
Yay my 2 favourites in the same yt video ❤❤
Thanks a lot :)
would these tips work with other fish varieties? I was wondering if I could apply things like the pressure tip to other species.
Can someone tell me how many litres for 9 Corydoras he is saying 20 long high or long but I suppose it’s in inches ….so how many litres for one tank ? Thanka
20 gallons is roughly 80 litres.
@@waterdog.studios thanks ;)

Great video Dean cleanest fish room on U Tube n my O P lol
... I love those videos, too!😄
How do you make sure you keep the temperature stable in the hanging tank thing?
Excellent video 👍
Awesome
Hi can you tell me what are the 5 best fish for beginners in your opinion?
My two cents:
Guppies/Endlers
Swordtails
Mollies
Cherry Barbs
Ember Tetra
Thanks for sharing 😊

They are so cute 🥰 but I’ve never thought of keeping them, I have too many species atm.
😢

Dean. Legend. We're not worthy 🙇

How does the tray system works?
Great video, what are the causes of Corydora loosing their barbs? I know it’s water quality but which parameter?
My group of 6 paleatus cories spawn in my heavily planted community tank everytime I turn around like there's no tomorrow. Do mystery snails or eels eat cory eggs? I have my cories for a year and no babies. I did see spawning though.
When Dean explains it, it becomes sooooo simple! 🙄🙄
Great video!
Was dean able to keep the egg containers out side of the tank because he heats the room instead of the tank or will Cory eggs hatch at room temp?
But how does he keep the temp stable at those small 1,5 liters for the fry?
Nice video buddy 😂
substrate: this gravel is fine and safe as sand for corys?
2:52 They go in a tank by themselves because if another species of Corydora doesn't get triggered to span at the same time, they will likely eat the eggs of other corydoras
do you have any suggestions for those of us in Canada who are not able to get methylene blue?
Молодец
DEAN FROM AQUARIUM CO-OP YOOOOOOOOOOOO
how do you keep same temp in that container? do we need to get a small heater too
I'm pretty sure Dean keeps the entire room heated. I keep my corys at around 78 degrees Fahrenheit.
does that bottom fin method work across all cory's?
How long did he keep cory eggs in water with blue methyline? Until eggs become fries? Thanks
Can we cross breed corys like pepperd + bronze or something else
