I'm convinced that Nintendo just picked some kits randomly. Why are there so many weapons that don't have a kit that fits well with it. I hope in splatoon 3 they do a better job at making effective kits so there are fewer situations where there aren't any good kits for some weapons or only one option.
I’d like to see more kits of this fashion It’d make for new and interesting “Metas” or diversions of metas because of the way some teams will make bizarre set ups work. Otherwise, you’re not obligated to use them and weapons with more preferred sets stay in meta I’m not a comp player by any means but these wack set ups really change up the game in all modes and make it fun in some cases. Of course this isn’t to say to completely rid the game of all reasonable and realistic kits. Just saying weird kits can be fun to use and more variation in the game. Otherwise it just keeps some weapons out of meta, and that’s what matters most right? Lol
Well that's the thing 1. He's a competitive player and 2. They're the worse compared to other weapons the weapons aren't unplayable there's just ones that are better.
Bruh, gootuber is super good... well for me atleast. Rocking double digit kills a game with it now. I dont agree but i get where you are coming from. It is really skill based. The mobility is great atleast... kinda sad tho.
15:49 Oh wow Im in that bamboozler game. Its actually really interesting seeing how this looked from your end cause I remember being spooked cause on my end you just ran through 2 rainmaker shots haha. I remember saying "The heck, Why is Chara using a boozler?" WELP Now I know. Nice video as always dude.
@エイトボール ...Thats what I just said the game isn't just balanced from the top down. If they made Splashdown viable for top X rank players, for mid and low level players it would be crazy broken
@@ProChara good thing this changed in S3, and it's pretty obvious. Weapons like range blaster and Wiper are being played in competitive despite having weak specials.
@@realblueman_II I wouldn't say it changed at all in S3: Wiper doesn't have a great special, but torpedo is a perfect sub and the kit synergizes perfectly. Range blaster is a good main weapon in the current meta, and now that CRB is out it has mostly replaced the vanilla kit. There are plenty of good main weapons that aren't in the meta because of their kits (mini splatling, nozzlenoses) and weapons where there one kit completely overshadows the other (sorella brella, reeflux).
I can’t believe he actually said the gootuber is the worst charger in the game. Why the gootuber is one of the BEST chargers in the game: It has the longest stored charge on the game It’s the only charger to be able to hold its charge through a super jump Despite being a charger it’s a really good frontline weapon Splashdown can both be used as a panic button if enemies get too close to you and can be used if your jumping into the front lines to punish anyone trying to jump camp you Did I mention it has the longest stored charge in the game?
@@LynR.M.1378 umm about Splashdown as a panic button.... it doesn't work in higher ranks because doing that just secures your own death lmao Holding your charge a really long time doesn't quite matter because chargers provide pressure, meaning it's more valuable to have a quicker charge time than a longer charge hold. And it's not very good at being a frontline weapon, it fires way too slowly to be such. You aren't a lightweight weapon either so your swim speed isn't that fast. Splashdown during superjump is an ok strat, but it's unlikely it'll work more than once per match in higher ranks. Also since you'll be abusing the charge hold since that's your gimmick, you don't really do well with ink efficiency. Suction bomb is it's one saving grace, but it's not enough
I agree on splashdown. I’ve been playing Splatoon 2 since early 2018, and I recently made X 4 months ago after I transitioned from sticks to motion controllers. I would main the vanilla Splattershot, and I would get splatted out of the air with my special. I switched to the tentatek, not much of a problem now.
Imagine in Splatoon 3 you could customize weapon kits at the cost of some kind of veriant of the ability chunks. That would probably solve most of the problems of unfitting weapon kits.
this is random but id enjoy if special abilities were simplified and could be freely chosen based on what you want, and be more noticable in general (kinda lika alicias abilities you gradually unlock and can freely switch around and have two of at a time)
I actually hope we see another kit like vanilla Hydra in Splatoon 3, joke weapons are nice to have around. But maybe put it on a joke weapon with 3 kits instead of an actual weapon with only 2
I have to do a whole video on this but we really should have more kits, if every weapon had 4 kits I wouldnt mind a meme kit, but with 2-3 weapons only it just doesn't have a place
Finally, someone acknowledges that the vanilla Sploosh is worse than the neo. The vanilla is basically stuck fighting with just its main weapon. Curling Bombs don't do much for it and isn't an approaching tool. Splashdown is... Splashdown. You could argue the same for the Neo, but its sub and special always have value (with Beakons assisting with pushes and defends and Missiles just being good in general). Though I wonder why you put the vanilla Dapple as the worst. Isn't the Nouveau's kit more specific and generally worse?
Yeah, as an ink/octobrush user, not main bc i use a large variety of weapons, but I use it a lot, (neo I think) octobrush has missiles and although I don’t use the Beakon much, but the misses don’t really kill much, but o can still agree that when I use vanilla clash blaster, I hate it, the sub/specials on neo are... questionable?
I am a vanilla Sploosh main, and from my time using that weapon, the games I win with it, is by pushing my boundaries. By using Curling Bombs to get a head start at the start, and Splashdowning whenever I get it, or whenever I Squid Jump. In doing so, you push, and push. Sadly, I didn’t really do any Ranked, but, when I did, my favorite was the zone one (forgot it’s name) where I Splashdown the zone to take control, and make my opponents wait, and if they wait too long, they’ll lose. It’s all about mobility. If I can squiggly squid my way out of a situation, I will. Then, once I recover, I go back with my battle scream. And this is all thanks to my Ninja Squid. I also have Drop Rollers to drop out of danger from Squid Jumping. I also had with me some Swim Speed Up to make up for the lost of Speed that Ninja Squid has. I signed up for war, and I survive for like, 1 minute and a half to 2 minutes, creating chaos wherever I go. Thanks to Splashdown, I get a get out of jail free card, or an “ink more” thing, and because it’s quick and easy to use, I get a free ink tank filled when it’s completely empty, so I can ink more. My favorite map to do this has to be Moray Towers, and yes, snipers love that map too, but, I tooken down snipers, by forcing them to a close range battle, because of my sneaky tactics. Rarely do I die, but when I do, it’s because I was outsmarted, but then I take revenge for my death, and eventually kill the guy who killed me. Anyways, I can agree that the N-Zap does good, but in my opinion, the Sploosh is the best weapon. That’s probably because Brella gotten nerfed too much, and rollers didn’t really, get any better, or maybe because I’m such a bad sniper, but I know one thing, im gonna use the vanilla sploosh in Splatoon 3, and no matter what anybody says, I will use that Sploosh, as, long as it has Curling bombs, because how else will I push, and get a head start, and run away if necessary. Anyways, this has been a vanilla Sploosh main, signing off
As a sploosh main, I have to agree, you would of had to damage them prior to deployment or shoot from a ledge if you want amy chance in denying splashdown. The sploosh's range is so miniscule that most simple task or actions like climbing up walls become a challenge with the sploosh. Calling the sploosh 'short ranged' imo is an overstatement.
I know splashdown is kinda ass, but I really feel like it's meant to be a "get off me" type special, and it used to be pretty good at that; so I think at release it made sense for weapons like the hydra
most splashdown weapons gauge how well you can act out of its splashdown and vhydra just... doesnt. higher up ranks if you dont get shot down you're definitely just gonna miss your splashdown and get immediately rushed because your charge time is so slow
I've said this before and I'll say it again, giving weapons bad kits is a terrible way of balancing a weapon. Doing so either means the main weapon is too op or that you have little confidence in the main weapon's potential.
"Hey Jim, I don't like how I have to be so passive with Hydra. I think other players feel this way too. Let's give it splashdown!!" "Ethan it's a fucking backline weapon and it takes years to charge how and why would they get in to use splashdown??!?" "Oh yeah I kinda forgot rushing in isn't Hydra's thing... well too late now I already gave it autobombs too!!" "Ethan. How are you not fired yet?"
it's so nice to see some nautilus appreciation!! i've been maining it for almost two years now and i feel like its power often goes unappreciated or unnoticed
I've tried Nautilus I play vanilla ballpoint splatling it's painful watching myself run at 4 ft per year and then running out of shots like in the middle of the of the map because I've had to deal with someone who somehow snuck around our back and then some noob with Tetra dullius comes out of nowhere and I'm screwed because well not alyss is slow not all this takes a long time to charge ish and yeah there's also the whole even if you do charge you can't move
@@seanhenke5846 i mainly use my nautilus as more of an achor weapon, taking advantage of my range and helping from behind rather than being in the middle of the map. the charge speed and run speed don't even affect me anymore because i've played it for so long LOL. i feel like play style plays a big part in what you main, and if you don't like it then that's fine man, everyone's allowed to like and dislike weapons :]
YES! I am SO HAPPY you put Nautilus as the best Splatling! While I agree that the gold one is probably better and more competitively viable, I can't use inkjet to save my life, so I personally like the silver one more. Plus, point sensors are always a win! Great video!
I feel like virtually every slosher is good, but vmachine’s kit is definitely worst. Can’t wait to see what you ranked as the best and worst for slosh(I haven’t watched yet
Honestly kinda surprised that Foil Squeez isn't above H3, since we see a certain someone dominate solo with it every month. I guess it's chocopero only after all :p
@@saiji9000 I do lol I main the Nautilus 47 and the Heavy Splatling Remix most of the time 😁 I also really like the Bamboozler MKIII and the Dualie Squelchers. I gave up on the Squeezer haha
something about stingray- When I'm using it and I hit someone just a little bit, a good tip is to look at the map so you can see where they are going. I usually can't find them after hitting them, so being able to see hit opponents is useful when I'm using it.
I find there’s a way to surprise enemies with Splashdown. You know when performing a super jump, you can trigger Splashdown, but what you might not know is that Splashdown can be triggered at any time during the jump, even before you get off the ground. Considering in this game you can see when an enemy has its special charged, and when they use it, they could think that you used it elsewhere and not realize it’s coming for them. If Splashdown had something to change its height on use, it’d help immensely. My idea is, first, the amount of Special Power Up would give more height the more of it you wear. Second, give it an option (ZR) to perform a one time height change, which can be changed anytime before it begins to come back down.
20:26 - I remember in splatoon 1 carbon roller (not the deco version) used to have inkzooka as a special. To all the non veterans the inkzooka basically shoots out TORNADOES of ink. It sadly was removed in splatoon 2 (screw the programmers).
Splashdown’s greatest weakness is its slow startup and total lack of armor. I can see splashdown being a real menace in tandem with a close range weapon if not for these two issues. Kinda sucks because I think it’s one of the most satisfying ults to land.
Maybe a way the dev team could have made splash down better would have been to allow the player to control how high they jump in the air when activating the special, making it harder to predict where to shoot when countering it. Like, if you hold down the special (or jump) button longer, you go higher. It's just something that came to mind while watching this video.
i thought something similar, my idea was that the height would be randomized. obviously not lower than what it is now, that would suck. only thing is it just becomes inconsistent.
As a Carbon deco main, so many people fail to realize that it actually has pretty decent range. Gotten a lotta kills from people underestimating how op the burst bombs make it, along with the sheer speed at which I can get kills.
I was surprised to see carbon deco I main it and yet I find myself at a huge disadvantage to other rollers (especially flingza) I do agree though, carbon deco is a cool weapon overall that rewards an aggressive playstyle which I like playing
This was a really great ranking video; your explanations as to why each weapon is amazing or sucks was backed up by a ton of points. I always thought that Slosher Deco was better than Soda Slosher, but you proved me wrong. Keep up the good work!
I use v hydra cause no one expects it. People love to rush me then I splash down them. What I’m saying is that even tho a weapon here is the worst on this list, it can be used.
Yeah, for some reason I still main Vanilla Sploosh, probably because the Curling Bombs are good for movement, despite their predictability, that’s why I also main Enperry Splat Duelies
I remember when the nzap 89 was the meta weapon to a lot of players in splatoon 1. But the carbon roller (NOT THE DECO VERSION) was definitely my meta weapon.
THANK YOU FOR THE VHYDRA PART OH MY GOD. Everytime I see a VHydra, whether that be SoloQ or League, I always die inside cause it's WAYYYY worse than the chad CHydra.
IKR the vHydra is just terrible and its so annoying because there are so many better things they could have given it like sprinkler or any other special.
2:41 In my opinion, splashdown is pretty good if your teammate is in danger and want some easy kills, and here’s how your can get those kills. 1: super jump to teammate in danger 2: before landing use splashdown (remember to be high enough for opponents to not shoot you down 3: W I P E O U T (I’m only rank B so sorry if this isn’t useful in S/X rank)
I was a cds main when I played a few years ago. They carried me up to S+ on most modes. I just prefer their more aggressive kit over the more support based kit of the vanilla, along with that high mobility that only duelies can provide, and it’s pretty good painting and damage capabilities.
Although not a comp player, I have been playing with all chargers recently and have to say mpu vbamboo is pretty insane... I can get 11+ kills regularly which is something I struggle to get with other chargers
20:49 You're referencing the Corocoro roller here- I don't remember what special it had anymore but I mained the Corocoro for a log time and the splash wall is surprisingly useful. For the flingza, it's even more useful for using your longer attack, since it has a long wind-up. This is just my opinion ofc, but splash wall is one of my favorite subs in the game, and I can utilise it pretty well because of how much I've used it
The fact that they gave Splash Wall to a flipping roller not once but twice across Splatoon 1 and 2 never ceases to make me laugh, they must've come up with Flinza's kit while drunk or something. Also, seriously, what were they thinking when they decided Dualie Squelchers should just say “imagine having end lag, lol”?
I don't get it, why is wall bad on a roller? I can have great games using the wall to help get many kills, I use respawn punisher to help disrupt the enemy. So to me, wall is good for a roller based around flinging.
@@dragons6711 Don't get me wrong, Regular Flinza's kit isn’t useless. Because of the amazing vertical flick, it can actually get solid use from the wall, especially compared to the first game's CoroCoro Roller, which had no such thing. Plus bomb rush is powerful, so it balances out a lot more. But considering Foil has a busted bomb and a busted and cheap special, the wall kit is generally outclassed on most maps. I can see it being very strong on maps like Port Makeral though
Ya know, when the team calls for a slayer, I personally like to go tentatek splattershot or bamboo. Yes, I know Im crazy person for playing a charger as a slayer.
I've played with splashdown my whole time in Splatoon 2 and I've played a lot of time and a decent amount of kills or wins happen from splashdown. I once jumped to tower and chose to splashdown to protect the tower and splat nearby enemies. I then pushed after killing 2 enemies and won the game with 2 other teammates
Me: I bet 20$ that Dapples Dualies are the worst Dualies. Chara:Dapples Dualies are the worst. Me:I knew it. (Btw Dapple Dualies are my main weapons)lol. I just love them. Probably Im just a masochist.
OKAY GUYS! Let's just say it right here, right now: *Which of the mentioned "Worst In Class" weapons do you use and plan to continue using?* Not just "main", mind you. Once in a while is fine as well. For me... > Sploosh-o-matic: It's my Rainmaker weapon. Fits my playstyle for that mode. Sploosh 7's preferred on some maps, but otherwise... > Hydra Splatling: Don't care how hated it is by pros (I'm looking straight at that guy who said "If you use this you shouldn't play Splatoon", _screw that noise!_ >:( ), every time I pick Custom, my team just falters for all the Ink Armors I give them (and I do try to give 'em at the most advantageous moments). So instead I stick to the vanilla. I don't mind the lack of synergy here since _any_ poke is better than no poke. And in SoloQ Splashdown can still work as panic button for those who sneak around me. > Flingza Roller: Now admittedly I'm using it far less now, but I actually don't mind Splash Wall. Didn't mind it in Splatoon 1 either. It just works as anti-aggression. It's obvious Foil is significantly better, but I can make the vanilla work too.
I am curious about you mentioning that you use the sploosh-o-matic for rainmaker matches. What does this weapons do that it is special for that mode? I don´t want to comment about anything because I am too bias for that weapon. I am at S+9 on rainmaker and S+0 on tower control and I only use this weapon; I still don´t know why exactly but I attribute it to my relentless playstyle of going forward with the rainmaker and sneak a lead. But there may be an advantage with that weapon that I am using but I am not aware about it.
@@fernavliz1 At least for me, Sploosh has the exact tools I need to do what I want to do - primarily run the Rainmaker. Key thing however is I play _smart_ and not recklessly. I'll say this now: The idea of "sneaking a lead" doesn't really exist in higher ranks. It's either "Your opponents weren't paying attention", which is NOT a reliable tactic, or "You screw your own team over", which is far more likely to happen. So basically when I run the Sploosh it comes down to... - Run Object Shredder; Get first pop of the match _if possible!_ Curling Bombs are especially useful for this. It may not always be possible if your teammates start fanning out instead of going to the shield, or if the enemy team has a significant bomb advantage. - DO NOT SNATCH RAINMAKER ON POP. After the pop your team wants a numbers advantage. If the shield explosion didn't kill anyone, try to get a splat, or just support a teammate so they get a splat. You're a Sploosh, so the latter is probably better. Once you got the advantage, _then_ push the objective. - If your team loses the advantage, be ready to cut off the enemy's path. Unfortunately, stopping enemy pushes is not Sploosh's strong point. Just do what you can to stay alive and quickly break the shield once the enemy loses the rainmaker. - Use Splashdown mostly for quick shield breaks. That's about it for that. Other than that a lot of it comes to experience, awareness, and... well, guts. I mean there are situations where you _can_ snatch the Rainmaker and sneak it through for a point lead. But that just doesn't happen for free. You earn those opportunities. If you try and disrespect the opposition by thinking you can just grab rainmaker and they're just gonna stand there and watch you take the lead, you are _not_ going to progress any further. And one other thing... *Never, EVER **_EVER_** go solo'ing to the enemy side to make a path directly to the enemy goal.* It NEVER works. It's a distraction only to that person, leaves the team at an automatic numbers deficit, gives the opposition an opportunity to make a huge push, and any enemy that dies will just ink over any created path. Again, it comes down to not treating the enemy like they're stupid. There's a big difference between outwitting a player and disrespecting a player. The former depends on one's own experience, and the latter depends on the enemy's ineptitude. And only one of those two can you reliably count on.
@@Galiaverse These are really, really good tips! I have learn most of them the hard way. On X rank and onward I think leads does not wins you games but really teamwork and be really skillful (not dying often). Went on X rank once and got kicked out inmediatly LOL XD. I have reviewed my gameplays and I see that when we get to sneak a lead it was mostly because of two things: Number advantages and that the opponents where in another place; both of these are advantages that, as you said, are made by us as a team (in my case mostly by my teammates because I am bad at this game LOL XD) and not just luck. Even if I don´t use object shredder (I prefer to use swim speed), but I really know the importance of poping the rainmaker barrier at the right moment. I really use the splashdown to pop the rainmaker fast and it is really useful for that purpose; I also use it for panic button but even on S+ rank there is a high risk of being cancelled midair. With the sploosh and the curling bombs I get fast at the rainmaker at the start of the game and pop its barrier and to see if I can get one or two opponents to take the advantage and maybe a fast win. And Yes, many people go to grab the rainmaker inmediatly after but it is best to get some advantage first, being it in numbers or rarely but possible noticing the opponents on bad position (Like they tried to make a long path to flank from behind us BUT they leave their base totally undefended). [I notice that with object shreder you could almost instant open the rainmaker barrier and get some fast kills that way; so I guess it is a thing to consider as you said]. I would also add that knowing where your teammates are, by opening your map, is really important when going in to the offensive. It is really dificult to identify that fast and I cannot do it; but I notice the importance of my teammates positioning when I go for the lead with the rainmaker. Either way, sneaking a lead when no one notices you is the most fun part of it and I really enjoy it. I think it doesn´t work on X rank onward; and I guess righfully so because these players are more aware of their stuff. Thank you for all the advices you gave. I will try to apply most of these. I wish I could give it more likes or something because you deserve it.
i always come back to see the newest comments with misconceptions or differing opinions and its always sick to see you still replying to people and having discussions with them lol
The Neo Sploosh-o-matic has to be the best short-range shooter for turf war. The inking potential is freaking insane, it never runs out of ink, and it's not bad for killing if you close the distance between you and your opponent. Plus, having a satellite and tenta-missiles make the weapon sooo much better.
vanilla undercover's kit is really good in concept, but its special being one of the most predictable in the game makes it really difficult to play consistently
Now that I'm more experienced on brushes after this video, I completely agree with what he has said about the Inkbrushes, the Novo (idk how to spell lol) is a very good brush when it comes to inking turf cause of the baller, but the mine is more defensive and tracking players in which I say it's okay
I love Luna neo for tower control cause it can shoot around the pole and place mines on the tower. The suction bomb launcher thrown onto the tower can quickly take it over. Idk maybe I’m just a low level.
Man, all this time I've been loving Splashdown with the vanilla Ink Brush because it's just a killer combination but then again, I do see its heavy flaws as most of the time, people can just scoot a couple of inches away and not even get effected by it... Or you know, Blasty blast go pew pew. Splashdown also sucks as a last ditch effort when you're in danger as the armor it has doesn't activate if you've been hit by enemy ink. It's pretty predictable and I can see why it's the worst special but I'm still gonna use it... on the Ink Brush only because I just love that weapon class. :> Also, if I see another Sploosh-O-Matic, I'm gonna scream; I can't tell you how overrated that weapon is.
L-3D _clearly_ outranks H-3D, and very likely ever single other weapon in the game My opinion is not biased in any way, because it's just fact. People just don't use it because it's too OP
I remember using carbon roller in splatoon 1. It was my favourite weapon and by far the best weapon I had ever had and to see it appear as the best weapon in this video makes me feel like a pro player. I use carbon roller deco in splatoon 2 now cos the normal carbon roller no longer has burst bomb sub.
i would say give dapples bombs. that would fix issues about not being able to approach well since it has such short range. the only other thing I can think of to buff it is for that dodge rolls to be slightly longer. but I dont think that needs to be done. honestly all variants work well as they are now. maybe give missiles to the one with splashdown instead. but that's what sploosh is for. part of the problem with balancing weapons is that you dont want different weapons that are similar to be the same. that's why gootuber cant be buffed to the point where's it's on par with squiffer. same as sploosh and dapples. the secondary issue is that many of the subs and specials just dont have synergy as chara mentioned. and thirdly the sub/special design in this game compared to splat 1 is overall worse. so i certainaly hope splat 3 fixes these issues.
Okay i know i might comment on this a couple of times but- WHY is the splashdown the worst special? It's one of the best in superjumping situations. In fact maybe the best if your opinion is good about it. Plus its just a booyah bomb except it's quicker and kills instantly within it's range. And its good at inking at the end of the time limit for turf war. Sorry if this is criticism I just want to point some things out. Maybe expect more of these comments?
Splashdown travels the same distance upward and has no form of protection, so its possible to learn the timing and cancel reliably on most weapons Splashdown jumps can be seen by looking at the top of the screen and the landing can be camped after the splashdown lands It does good damage to bubble blower and baller (baller gets shredded by everything anyway) so bubbles is its only huge use, but by using a bomb combo on the bubbles you can just kill the splashdown user first TLDR higher up you go more likely you are to just die in it Even Nintendo realized this and made it so you lose 25% of your special if you die in it. (its also why most splashdown weapons have low points for special) Pretty much any high level comp player is going to agree with me, the higher up in skill bracket you go the worse it is. Hope this explains well For booyah bomb, its 470 HP makes it much more survivable, and its better at destorying Bomb Rush/Bubble blower since you throw the bomb from a far distance rather then being stuck in it, it also takes longer to be gone completly which makes it better at destroying bomb rushes.
Good to know that none of my main weapons are considered the absolute worst. And I also found out that I main some of the best weapons of each class too! This video also taught me a bit about competitive and the meta and why some weapons and kits have an edge over others. Thanks!
10:07 I have an arguement against this. The inkmines are great for stealth missions, the splashdown synergies too well with it's mostly grounded kit, you have to focus on the Brella to pop it's shield and you also have to set off the mines before splashdown arrives making it all based around a psychological time bomb game, which is super spy movie stuff, and the main weapon is too strong when you sneak up from behind and shoot and boop the opponent to their death. Just focus on speed, secrecy, ink saving and main power up and all matches shall be dominated, if you have good team coordination. In short, I would say the Tenta Brella with the ink wall and Curling Rush is the worst, too laggy, terrible when dealing with object shredder, and curling rush is situational in some stages, like Arrowana Mall, since the center part basically made me quit the weapon. In summary, though, this is a great video, a great analysis of all of the weapons, I don't want to just bash on this video and I am sorry for not complimenting this video. It's just that I assume that you would think that you would think that the rest of my opinions is good. And you know what they say, assuming makes an "A" out of u and me.
For what you commented about splashdown is that ,yes it does go up in one particular distance, although when super jumping you're able to splashdown at a huge radius to unsuspecting enemy's and when in maps like moray towers it's easy to jump down onto spawn campers
FINALLY SOME WHO UNDERSTANDS!!! Let me go show this to……….someone…….. real quick. Keep up the good work and have a good day or night maybe afternoon because you never know same thing to everyone else ready this and whoever edited this video
I knew the sploosh o matic would be the worst on this list lol. In my opinion the kit that comes with it is pretty decent, you can super jump to you teammate and splashdown. Killing any nearby opponents, also scaring and damaging nearby opponents, with that you can easily kill the opponents. I once got 11 splats with it. Now The trick to using the sploosh o matic is to sneak up on opponents, the best way to kill people with it is too attack the opponents when they least expect it. If I ever encounter and opponent I'll try to find a way to sneak to the side or the back of the opponent. Getting easy splats. If that goes wrong I use my splash down. You also gotta be fast with the sploosh o matic, you need to learn how to dodge attacks. Whenever in getting attacked I escape, go back when the opponent thinks I gave up, and splat them. It's also a good way to distract opponents and get your team to kill them. The reason I enjoy the sploosh is because of the splashdown, yet you say its worst thing in the kit LOL. The curling bombs is what sucks in this kit. In the future I might change my main weapon to the n zap cause I really enjoy the n zap 83 cause of the sprinklers and ink storm. But for now, sploosh is my way to play lol.
I’ve never really looked into guides on what was the best weapons to use, so finding out that I’ve been maining the best dualies without outside influence for a while was a great surprise lol. Maybe I know what I’m doing after all :D
Once you accept you can’t use it as panic button it’s okay! You have 3 options 1. Off a ledge 2. Out of a superjump 3. As an instant tank refill Then it begins to work!
Ikr if you have a teammate next to you, you can superjump to them and then splashdown with invenerability and a bigger radius. Plus, it’s great in the early game.
@@whatotter9094 Also, if a damaged opponent is nearby, a splashdown can kill outside of it's radius. The hitbox is very big, and can even kill opponents above you if they're on ink rails or the semi solid railing thingies. Very solid for taking the zone quickly as well, and can be used slightly more liberally when a teammate gives armor. (Similar to how inkjet can wait for armor before using their special) Splashdown can even be used to cheese getting on tower if timed correctly, AND can pop the rainmaker in almost one shot. And while I don't recommend it, splashdown can be used as support if you're close to your team. The opponent will have to decide whether they deny the splashdown or splat your teammate. I've seen it work when using quick respawn. Splashdown has potential! The more you play a splashdown weapon, the more likely it will be to spot these opportunities.
In My Opinion: Best shortrange shooter: n zap or neo splash. Best roller: carbon deco or foil flingza. Best mid-long range shooter: 96 gal or cjet. Both have insanely good zoning potential, that is, if rng favors 96 gal. Best brush: kensa, vanilla octobrush, and permabrush.the octobrushes just outclass the inkbrush during combat in every way, shape and form. Although, permabrush is one of the best armor weapons in the game. Mobility, special points? Has it all. Best charger: bamboozler mk 1. How did someone allow this???? It charges so fast. I think u can shoot 2 fully charged bamboo shots in the time it takes squiffer to charge once. It also outranges squiffer, has mpu dmg up, and is the only lightweight charger in splatoon. Not to mention missiles. With mpu+good enough aim, this could be one of the most op weapons in splatoon, or even in all shooters. Best slosher: soda, vslosher or kmachine. Soda allows you to relive the s1 slosher days for a few seconds. Vslosher has one of the best supportive kits in game, and machine+fizzy combo is so good it overshadows splashdown. Best dualies: ds or cds. Best blaster: krapid or (arguably) grim range. Burst bombs help range soo much. Best splatling: nautilus 79. A splatling that can hold charge and has faster shots than a CHARGER. Also suction. Smh Best brella: sorella brella. With the shielding tricks (especially that shield timing one that basically allows shield to tank anything, including charger shots and specials, if that's still a thing), brella could theoretically shield anything, and be the best weapon in the game, IF SPLATOON 2 ACTUALLY HAD GOOD ONLINE. Imo, the brella skill floor is super high, but the skill ceiling and potential goes beyond the heavens.
Kensa Rapid blaster is pretty much the best blaster, cuz I was able to push for a win in multiple matches, whereas the other rapid blasters wouldn’t, because of the combo potential
@@ProChara Ohh! Good idea! I was thinking they could double it's range during turret mode, making it decrease over time if you stay still, encouraging more rolling to "reset" the range
I’m a goo-tuber main (that’s an amateur and doesn’t know what they’re doing), and if you manage to use it right, it’s a pretty good weapon. The trick is to not get into battle too early, and stay behind and help your team, although it’s an okay up-front weapon as long as you keep your distance. Of course, I’m not a super good charger and half of my kills are lucky. I like the goo-tuber the most because of how long you can keep your charge and the fact that you can charge up, swim a bit, then fully charge up. I don’t like the other chargers because you _need_ to have the charge full at _all times._ I do agree that the splashdown is not my favorite special, so I only really use it on splatzones.
I'm convinced that Nintendo just picked some kits randomly. Why are there so many weapons that don't have a kit that fits well with it. I hope in splatoon 3 they do a better job at making effective kits so there are fewer situations where there aren't any good kits for some weapons or only one option.
@Gatling Spletzer the Inkhog bruh what
I’d like to see more kits of this fashion
It’d make for new and interesting “Metas” or diversions of metas because of the way some teams will make bizarre set ups work. Otherwise, you’re not obligated to use them and weapons with more preferred sets stay in meta
I’m not a comp player by any means but these wack set ups really change up the game in all modes and make it fun in some cases. Of course this isn’t to say to completely rid the game of all reasonable and realistic kits. Just saying weird kits can be fun to use and more variation in the game. Otherwise it just keeps some weapons out of meta, and that’s what matters most right? Lol
Yeah, like who decided that the clash blasters would have tenta missles and stingray
Speaking of kits in splatoon 3, it would be cool if we could make our own custom kits

True!
It dominates the meme meta
Squidbagging aggressively while storing a charge and randomly sniping someone is true meme potential
I can’t believe he actually said the gootuber is the worst charger in the game.
Why the gootuber is one of the BEST chargers in the game:
It has the longest stored charge on the game
It’s the only charger to be able to hold its charge through a super jump
Despite being a charger it’s a really good frontline weapon
Splashdown can both be used as a panic button if enemies get too close to you and can be used if your jumping into the front lines to punish anyone trying to jump camp you
Did I mention it has the longest stored charge in the game?
@@LynR.M.1378 umm about Splashdown as a panic button.... it doesn't work in higher ranks because doing that just secures your own death lmao
Holding your charge a really long time doesn't quite matter because chargers provide pressure, meaning it's more valuable to have a quicker charge time than a longer charge hold.
That would probably solve most of the problems of unfitting weapon kits.
yeah i was thinking that
this is random but id enjoy if special abilities were simplified and could be freely chosen based on what you want, and be more noticable in general (kinda lika alicias abilities you gradually unlock and can freely switch around and have two of at a time)
thatd be cool but then youd get really op weapon combinations that wont be able to be fixed by nerfing or buffing without ruining all the balancing

I have to do a whole video on this but we really should have more kits, if every weapon had 4 kits I wouldnt mind a meme kit, but with 2-3 weapons only it just doesn't have a place
Joke kits suck for whatever weapon they're on. As a chydra main I wish I had another viable option :(
The Hydra's kit now is scary
Now Hydra is a huge threat.
@@aj_404 it's octobrush nouveau, the neo brand didn't remake any of the brush weapons
ik this is hella late, but dappleN has a niche in rm with mist and high shield dps, its a tiny niche but its better then none
Anyways, this has been a vanilla Sploosh main, signing off
2:42 Ironically, the Sploosh sucks at Splashdown canceling as well
As a sploosh main, I have to agree, you would of had to damage them prior to deployment or shoot from a ledge if you want amy chance in denying splashdown.
The sploosh's range is so miniscule that most simple task or actions like climbing up walls become a challenge with the sploosh.
Calling the sploosh 'short ranged' imo is an overstatement.
@@VGF80 Its range is the equivalent of a nearly defective faucet 😭
I know splashdown is kinda ass, but I really feel like it's meant to be a "get off me" type special, and it used to be pretty good at that; so I think at release it made sense for weapons like the hydra
most splashdown weapons gauge how well you can act out of its splashdown and vhydra just... doesnt. higher up ranks if you dont get shot down you're definitely just gonna miss your splashdown and get immediately rushed because your charge time is so slow
Props to you for getting footage even for the bad weapons. Love watching your videos, have a good one gamer :)

I've said this before and I'll say it again, giving weapons bad kits is a terrible way of balancing a weapon.

This is just my opinion ofc, but splash wall is one of my favorite subs in the game, and I can utilise it pretty well because of how much I've used it
THANK YOU! Finally a man of culture.
OKAY GUYS! Let's just say it right here, right now:
*Which of the mentioned "Worst In Class" weapons do you use and plan to continue using?*
Not just "main", mind you.
I remember everyone saying bamboozler sucked. Little did they know.
i always come back to see the newest comments with misconceptions or differing opinions and its always sick to see you still replying to people and having discussions with them lol
Same lmao I don't understand how he manages to reply to so many new comments from older videos like this
Custome Jet Squelcher and Bamboozler are my favourite weapons.
The Neo Sploosh-o-matic has to be the best short-range shooter for turf war. The inking potential is freaking insane, it never runs out of ink, and it's not bad for killing if you close the distance between you and your opponent. Plus, having a satellite and tenta-missiles make the weapon sooo much better.
watch this it'll show you the basic turf war meta rn www.twitch.tv/sebzouy/video/1080061824
vanilla undercover's kit is really good in concept, but its special being one of the most predictable in the game makes it really difficult to play consistently
you play sunder
I have used splashdown as an escape method usually but not usually killing unless good scenarios
Now that I'm more experienced on brushes after this video, I completely agree with what he has said about the Inkbrushes, the Novo (idk how to spell lol) is a very good brush when it comes to inking turf cause of the baller, but the mine is more defensive and tracking players in which I say it's okay
Alternative title: ProChara hates splashdowns
Also, if I see another Sploosh-O-Matic, I'm gonna scream; I can't tell you how overrated that weapon is.
On top of this video being great in general, the Mario Galaxy music triggered my nostalgia.
L-3D _clearly_ outranks H-3D, and very likely ever single other weapon in the game
My opinion is not biased in any way, because it's just fact. People just don't use it because it's too OP
Nice pfp
I remember using carbon roller in splatoon 1. It was my favourite weapon and by far the best weapon I had ever had and to see it appear as the best weapon in this video makes me feel like a pro player. I use carbon roller deco in splatoon 2 now cos the normal carbon roller no longer has burst bomb sub.
Same here. Carbon Roller was my favorite roller to use in Splatoon 1. I was kind of happy the Deco in Splatoon 2 had a similar kit.
But I have a question: what buffs exactly do you suggest? I’m totally fine with the Dapple Dualies as they are now.
Me too. I love Dapple Dualies.
i would say give dapples bombs. that would fix issues about not being able to approach well since it has such short range. the only other thing I can think of to buff it is for that dodge rolls to be slightly longer. but I dont think that needs to be done. honestly all variants work well as they are now. maybe give missiles to the one with splashdown instead. but that's what sploosh is for.
part of the problem with balancing weapons is that you dont want different weapons that are similar to be the same. that's why gootuber cant be buffed to the point where's it's on par with squiffer. same as sploosh and dapples. the secondary issue is that many of the subs and specials just dont have synergy as chara mentioned. and thirdly the sub/special design in this game compared to splat 1 is overall worse. so i certainaly hope splat 3 fixes these issues.
I was in a game with you today! Pretty funny that I've just stumbled across your video now too.
Splashdown travels the same distance upward and has no form of protection, so its possible to learn the timing and cancel reliably on most weapons
Splashdown jumps can be seen by looking at the top of the screen and the landing can be camped after the splashdown lands
It does good damage to bubble blower and baller (baller gets shredded by everything anyway) so bubbles is its only huge use, but by using a bomb combo on the bubbles you can just kill the splashdown user first
TLDR higher up you go more likely you are to just die in it
Even Nintendo realized this and made it so you lose 25% of your special if you die in it. (its also why most splashdown weapons have low points for special)
Pretty much any high level comp player is going to agree with me, the higher up in skill bracket you go the worse it is. Hope this explains well
For booyah bomb, its 470 HP makes it much more survivable, and its better at destorying Bomb Rush/Bubble blower since you throw the bomb from a far distance rather then being stuck in it, it also takes longer to be gone completly which makes it better at destroying bomb rushes.
Good to know that none of my main weapons are considered the absolute worst. And I also found out that I main some of the best weapons of each class too! This video also taught me a bit about competitive and the meta and why some weapons and kits have an edge over others. Thanks!
I remember when Splashdown used to have more armor and was a good get off me tool. ;_;
This is very cool I love seeing what actually is decent or not
10:07 I have an arguement against this.
Only we brush mains have the power of mashing
i knew a girl who mained inkbrush. she had a massive caffeine addiction and was the CRAZIEST button masher i’ve ever seen.
@@muffin_the_metalhead3488 was it me? Lmao
I’ve never really looked into guides on what was the best weapons to use, so finding out that I’ve been maining the best dualies without outside influence for a while was a great surprise lol. Maybe I know what I’m doing after all :D
i wish they did a kensa goo tuber with burst bombs and hammer
3:00 this is really funny post Splatoon 3. My man calling out Splatoon 3 Ultrastamp before it even existed
its sad how much splashdown can kill a weapon
Is that black and white music playing in the background? Cool! I love BW,
it is yep!
Honestly I see potential in splashdown
Hate me if you like ✨ I don’t care ✨
Once you accept you can’t use it as panic button it’s okay! You have 3 options
1. Off a ledge
2. Out of a superjump
3. As an instant tank refill
Then it begins to work!
“Hey look, The sub is on the custom hydra”
*ten seconds later*
*”HEY LOOK, ONE OF THOSE IS ON THE CUSTOM HYDRA KIT”*
In My Opinion:
Best shortrange shooter: n zap or neo splash.
Smh
Best brella: sorella brella.
I love how during the brush segment Chara basically said the exact opposite of what you said lol
Kensa Rapid blaster is pretty much the best blaster, cuz I was able to push for a win in multiple matches, whereas the other rapid blasters wouldn’t, because of the combo potential
I clicked onto this video expecting my favorites to be okay... I use dapple dualies and my favorite special is splashdown 😟
the clear dapples arent too bad honestly, torpedo helps a lot with the distance problems, and the nouveau ones are a good rainmaker weapon.
I think this video is gonna get me back into comp scene. Thanks
always glad to hear that
Came here for the #DappleDualieDissTrack 😎
I just want splat 3 to give them a 3rd roll
@@ProChara Ohh! Good idea! I was thinking they could double it's range during turret mode, making it decrease over time if you stay still, encouraging more rolling to "reset" the range
22:52 Me who SUPERFRESH! all my Octobrushes: You're damn right.
Gaming creater on the rise
I’m a goo-tuber main (that’s an amateur and doesn’t know what they’re doing), and if you manage to use it right, it’s a pretty good weapon. The trick is to not get into battle too early, and stay behind and help your team, although it’s an okay up-front weapon as long as you keep your distance. Of course, I’m not a super good charger and half of my kills are lucky.
I like the goo-tuber the most because of how long you can keep your charge and the fact that you can charge up, swim a bit, then fully charge up. I don’t like the other chargers because you _need_ to have the charge full at _all times._
I do agree that the splashdown is not my favorite special, so I only really use it on splatzones.
I remember it being a meme that the Hydra was dead, because it took them sooooo long to give it too us
And then we saw the kit, and the meme lived on
That was a great video, I agree with all of the points made here
