Thanks for the kind comments!! I’m trying very hard to get some stories and history for the next episode. Need to strip some paint off to reveal the number. (Hopefully)
@@MuscleFishingOfficial i know what you mean, im impressed with your sib, I have an Avon rover 3.1 sib a hypalon one currently, however I am tempted by excel or honwave, keep the great content coming 👍👍 your channel is great, learning so much thank-you
@@aknotstogether4413 I do like how smart the excels look. I do just wish the material was stronger. But as with most things, nothing is made quite how it used to be! Thanks for the kind comments
A few people said similar! Unfortunately after a bit of time repairing it I found multiple leaked in the keel, and damage elsewhere. So this one was sent to boat heaven. Bit at least it got some time to shine in its final days
Well….. looks good Jake! Hopefully someone will bring it back to life and give you some history on it! Like you say it’s probably saved lives…. Look forward to the next instalment… B
It will be donated yes! If the RNLI museum want it that would be the best outcome. Just trying to contact some people over the next week. See if someone wants it, ideally RNLI or enthusiast. I want to get it to a spec where it can go on the water one last time close to shore safely.
You've done a great job there, really impressive. I'm restoring an similar aged old Avon Rover and, despite buying the 'proper' cleaning solution and loads of scrubbing, it hasn't come up anywhere near as good. Can I ask what solution you used?
It’s a commercial grade product mixed with water. Not sure of the ingredients. It hasn’t seemed to have melted it or damaged it as far as I’m aware. Worth patch testing a few products though. I think it’s a kind of bleach.
I agree, but a prettier one. Will be patching the holes next so it holds air. It won’t necessarily see the sea again. But to get it back there would be amazing.
Great video!! Well put together and if that boat could tell stories it would be worth a fortune!! Keep it up lad 👍

Great vlog jake, that cleaner is great, makes cleaning look easy, good old hypalon boats 🚢
I wish they made them the same now! Far superior to PVC!

Came up well clean 👌🏻 🌊🎣🐟😎👍🏻
Certainly did in the end. Just some patch work now
Nice one dude 🙂
That's really cool. They're great boats for sure! :)
Definitely would of been. Just have some holes to patch now.
I think that's a D class boat and that round rubber fitting was to mount the compass 👍
Great video, I'd love to know if it got restored fully.

@@MuscleFishingOfficial was still a good video showing how that product can help people look after and clean their boats 👍

Yer I hope so. I will be patching up the holes if I can find them to at least get it holding air. Fingers crossed I can find more about it
Great video mate well done👍👍👍👍
Cheers Scott! Let’s hope I can fix the holes. There’s certainly a few 😅
Very enjoyable to watch , will you donate it to the RNLI or a museum or keep it .

Really wondering what cleaner that is!
What will u sale the lifeboat for thanks I will buy it I love all out stuff . Mate
Good morning, sadly I had to let it go to SIB heaven. There was simply to many repairs and I couldn’t be confident it could be safe on the water!
OK thanks u mate
They are elephant trunks to drain the water out the boat
I thought so! Cheers!
@@MuscleFishingOfficial And the ties that hold them up are to stop backfilling when at rest.
@@berniecoles2337 I have a hole under one of them so that certainly needs fixing! Cheers
