    Anyone who spends time in UK costal waters should make a contribution to the RNLI, I do. Unbelievable to think they’re a charity and most of the crew are volunteers. Hero’s all of em’.

    • @gaznaz
      @gaznaz 6 місяців тому

      @MichelleStaunton-ob3pj I am sure they are. It’s both stupid and sad. More people will die because of less funding. Or are we happy with that as long as we don’t get any more of “them” coming here and “taking our jobs”.

    Astonishing. That significant risk to rescuer shows how bad the conditions were. Glad the lady was pulled out: terrifying situation to be in. All involved in that rescue, tractor driver and boat, must get bravery awards.

    A brilliant show of seamanship, teamwork and courage. The UK should be proud of the RNLI men and Women, who are mostly volunteers and put their own lives at risk 24/7, 365 days a week Bravo to you all!!

    I'm not a government basher, but every government in the last 60yrs at least, could have made the RNLI an official emergency service, with proper wages respecting the immense danger of the normal people they expect to volunteer their lives to save others in this way. Respect to all at the RNLI and we thank you profusely for your work.

      The RNLI is a charity I never miss giving to. They shouldn't have to rely on donations, these selfless people deserve all the support that government can give them. Heroes, every single one of them.

    We go to TB most years and watched the new lifeboat launch a couple of years back, and a mock rescue. We got chatting to some of the crew - humble, quiet and unassuming men who were genuinely lovely. They let the kids sit in the lifeboat, including my granddaughter, and it made her day. I thanked them then for all they do then and I’m thanking them again now. Total respect.

      @@stacyblaustein1228 Please get your facts straight. The RNLI is a charity and NOT a government agency. The crews are all volunteers - over 11000 of them at present. You should have thought carefully before writing such an uninformed comment because... "if you're dumb enough to..." expose your own profound ignorance and bad attitude so publicly, 'Stacy', you can't then expect anyone to rescue you from every kind of justifiable criticism.
