I'm from that part of New Zealand - the Southland region and it really is extraordinary. Great photo shoot and behind the scenes video. Thanks for posting.
Definitely! I’m planning a more adventurous charter trip for October 2025. Haven’t released details yet but email me if you like and I can put you on the list mate 💪🏼🙏🏻
Great video Will, and thank you so much for a truly epic trip - one of the best ever that will live on, and on David & Nicole (looking forward to next time.......)
Those conditions are next level!!! Early in your video you quickly panned past a puddle reflecting the mountain and sun. I would have camped on that all morning long. You would have had to pry my from it.
The smells! There's something about the earthy mossy smell of being bush that I absolutely treasure. My first whiff of it post lockdowns in 2020 was the sweetest moment for that. Great to see some images and experiences shared from workshop participants. Chris is a legend with those crutches. Crikey! Proof that the only thing that might you back is your own sense of limitation. Thanks for sharing some of that Will. What an amazing part of the world that is. I think there were a couple of moments where WOW was the only response.
What an awesome video of an incredible location! Thank you sooo much for sharing this. Hopefully you will share some more pics of the shots you took or your students.
Your workshops look awesome Will. Incredible location, and the help you gave to the attendees in finding and composing an image sounds top class. Thanks for sharing and giving us something to dream about attending one day
Great work thanks Will!! What really matters about photography (for myself at least) is what you are photographing, and you guys hit the jackpot! As someone who has been around the South Island more times than I can count, they have to be some of the best conditions I have ever seen! Thanks for sharing the photos, nice work Glen Thompson, just the right amount of processing for me.
William, It was great fun. Glad I could join you and the crew of the Flightless on this incredible workshop. A few of us are already discussing a reunion trip next year. Jeff.
Goosebumps! Seriously that video has further fueled the drive to experience and photograph the most amazing beauty. Thanks again for sharing your videos Will.
Even if you've no interest in photography I challenge anyone not to be drawn in by the first few seconds of that video. The spectacular scenery grabs you instantly. Great work from the photographers whose work you showcased there as well!
Guess who’s drooling again !!!!! You have the best job in the world and you are the best person for the job :) thanks for the beautiful videos - they take me back down memory lane everytime and put a smile on My dial xx
wow love that shots...i get some shots of rain forest in my country using 8mp camera but that shots are not sharp like yours ..wish i had a camera like this....❤
Wow such a magical place. 😍I’d would love to be able to afford this photography trip. It would be a dream Come true. I’m nearly crying just thinking about it.
Never understand why tourists all head for Milford Sound, when there are so many more beautiful fjords with far less poeple and more wildlife. Love Doubtful Sound.
Beautiful and pristine nature!
New Zealand is amazing.
Appreciate that you share the participant's photos.
Thanks Tim 🙏🏻

Thank you. Hope you can join us sometime 🙏🏻
Looks fantastic. Few tripods there. Guess they listen to you 😅👍
😅 haha, each to their own, I don’t care either way. If people are using a mirrorless then the majority like to adopt the handheld workflow.
100 out of 100 WOW
Thanks!
Howdy William, what's the best way to get in touch with you to book on this or a similar trip next year? Thanks.
Please email me directly. Thanks mate.
Never understand why tourists all head for Milford Sound, when there are so many more beautiful fjords with far less poeple and more wildlife. Love Doubtful Sound.
True but it’s because Milford is the only one with road access, haha. Cheers.
So quiet. Not much bird spounds....?
What a place! Outstanding!
Cheers mate!
