Your whole aura is refreshing. You look and sound like someone who is taking care of herself and in a good mental space. It is a beautiful thing to see. I hope things continue going well for you!
We just got a brand new 2023 Promaster Van for the warehouse I work for, compared to the other vans & trucks it is a monster! its well built, lots of room and runs excellent, it has backup camaras, a crazy touch screen setup that I have no Idea how to use lol and it can hold quite heavy loads, we love it. I've now seen all your Videos and I just love your approach to this whole thing, I especially enjoyed the Q & A Vid. You seem quite intelligent, your vary Beautiful and out going. I admire how you are taking chances and going after what makes you happy. You inspired me into making plans for changes im my own life before I get to old to do them. Thank You Elisa😃❤
I really enjoy watching different people's journey into the vanlife/cargotrailerlife community. Just when I think I've seen all the possible variations on features and design, someone surprises me. Alway inspirational, though. Although we're not full-timers, I was inspired to add off-grid features to our trailer used for teaching scuba diving, and it's been a great learning experience and fun to actually use. I look forward to see your progress! Please share your thought process as you make different feature and design choices during your build! The "why" is often as interesting and helpful as the "how".
Congrats! My choice for my next build would be a Promaster 2500 as well. (I built a Promaster City, it’s great!) Good idea of using two fans. One suggestion: pay particular attention to insulation and ventilation. Whether hot environment or cold, good insulation is key. Have fun!
Your stepdad seems great!! And will be a great source of information and teaching! Beautiful porch (lanai) and love the plants. Consider looking at a paint sprayer, not overly expensive to buy a basic homeowner version, and could probably rent one as well. That would speed up the interior paint and save your fingers from the spray cans!!😜 Looking forward to your build!!
You may wish to Install as a added Safety option to add outdoor or exterior lighting, and cameras for the exterior view around the perimeters around your vehicle. You can have a monitor installed inside, and you can view your vehicle and campsite surroundings on the monitor or possibly on your phone. Wishing you Well for your van build, glad you were wearing your Safety glasses, gloves are great also. God's Blessings to you and your family.
I appreciate your step dads care for you in being safe and teaching you the why and how. It reminds me of me and my grandfather who pass this year. Seeing this warmed my heart 💕congratulations! And I laughed because I didn’t know you meant clowns 🤡 literally 😂
Take your time, do things how you want to do it and when you want to. There are simple and patient folk like me who love and appreciate your content and keep coming back to watch what you’ve been up to with you. So keep it going and we’ll be here, I promise. Love from France 🇫🇷. 😊
I'm excited for you. I'm kinda living vicariously through you...haha. I have been thinking about doing the same for some time now as conventional living seems to be a bit boring and complacent. I appreciate your confidence and independence, as stepping out of our "comfort zone" can be challenging and scary, but so rewarding from an individual perspective. These are the things that help us discover what we are capable of even if our conscious minds say "what if I can't" Kudos to you. As you mentioned, take your time as YOU control the outcome. The journey is 1/2 the reward. And once you get it dialed in, the real reward is that personal fulfillment of what YOU created. Do your thing girl!
Great choice. I look forward to seeing the progress on the new van. I have no doubt you will do an excellent job of making this happen just as you want. Best of luck.
Yay! I am in the middle of converting my Ram Promaster… I am learning so much and you will too… rivnuts… templating.. cutting metal… preventing rust.. water.. electrical.. it can get overwhelming but I love a challenge and seems like you do too! I’m about half way done and just finished the bed install in time to go camping in Montana. You’re going to love it!
It was also to entice you into giving a money donation, she hopes the male viewers see her the way you do and all give a large contribution into her easy way of life and 24/7 vacation. On the male testosterone helps her becoming wealthy because every male that supports will daydream of her and her life …hope she gets lucky and achieves it all becoming a millionaire and a sex goddess and a popular social media guru 😂😂😂😂
Hi Elisa viewing your channel for first time , saw the van build . Congrads on taking this on . There will be days when you question your sanity but keep at it , you can do it and sense of accomplishment will far exceed the stress . Currently on my fifth RV . Rebuild upgrade everything myself , so learned what not to do . Mistakes are part of the learning curve , it happens to all of us . Like your thoughts of no AC , two fans are smart . Put them as far apart as possible so one on reverse other on forward will pull max amount of air through . Spend as much as you can afford on the best insulation possible . Be certain to cover every sq inch , nooks , crannies . Spray foam in a can gets in the hard to reach spots . Doing this helps to eliminate condensation as well . Don`t waste time and money on installing solar panels etc . Far better to spend money on lithium batteries and a charging system that enables your alternator to charge them while you are driving . Congrats on the purchase of your van … love your practical approach to the building and conversion right down to the rustproofing … you are not afraid to follow your dream … keep up the good work 👍 and thank you for sharing
Hi Elisa! I'm excited to see you build out your van! I follow another couple who built out a RAM Promaster and it turned out great! Check out there van buildout series. It was great and very informational. There channel is called Jimmy and Natalie. Good luck on your build!
Agreed....my girlfriend is also 100% free of them....sooooo many people are going to have blurry paint jobs when they are older...that will look like bruises basically LOL
@@netsirk.88 my girlfriend got comments from so many gay and bi women that she intentionally does not share she had a girlfriend at one point. She stated "women are just as bad as guys". If not, I recommend going through it making sure no mechanical/electrical issues and all is sound. A simple post purchase inspection should do it. The rig is the foundation for your build and better to catch any call outs early.
A lot of research is good. Sounds like your being very smart and you’re approach. I have a suburban fixed up. I added an auxiliary battery and have it wired to the main battery with a solenoid in between with a switch sides so I can connect the two batteries together if I need extra starting. I use the auxiliary battery to run a power converter for 110 V and also run some 12 V accessories from the auxiliary battery so I don’t have problems running down my main battery. When I’m driving down the road, I turned a switch on to connect the batteries together, so it charges the auxiliary battery. I have thought about putting a battery isolator so it would charge automatically. I just haven’t found a good spot for it. Keeping most of your weight towards the rear of the vehicle will give it extra traction in case you have to go through Sandy spots. Good tires help too. I have a Coleman camping type stove and a little oven that collapses for easy storage. When do you want to use the oven? You just fold it out and it sets on top of the camp stove. Are use an insulating cover that you could buy separately that helps hold the heat in and it works good.
Congratulations on your purchase. If you ever make it to South Florida I have a new dometic toilet model number CTS 4110. It was shipped to me as a warranty replacement but the black panel had a crack. So they sent me another one. Also I have a 2000 watt inverter and a 17 gallon water tank left over from a previous build. You can have them all for free.
Elisa, I've been enjoying your earlier videos--I was born and grew up in Michigan and it was great fun to see you discover and explore places I remember there like Gaylord, Ludington, etc. Wishing you all good things on your adventures and with converting your van!
I ran across your UA-cam channel and have watched a few of your videos. Thanks for your transparency and honesty in all that you encounter. Great luck on your camper van build!
My heart has joy for you. This van will become part of you and your story. It will be part of mine as well. Watching you bring your ideas to fruition. Semper Fi
Hello Ma’am, just want to say you are so courages to take up this kind of project. We love your honesty and vulnerability to the inevitable. Even the best make mistakes.
I don’t know if you’re still reading comments, but you might want to look into upgrading your tires to KO2’s. They really improve the ride and handling and are aggressive for off-road nonasphalt situations.

You are a natural at this... articulate, personable, clearly bright. Add to that the fact you're gorgeous so watching your videos is a pleasure, not a hardship.. It will be fun watching you on this adventure.
I like your planning and Philosophy to building your van. The videos your making are well done. Your explanations are thorough with valid points. I am a van owner and look forward to seeing your finished product. Oh, I really like your choice of art work! (Cover of your computer) All the Best!
Just watched this & I appreciate what you said about your channel, content, etc. I’m just starting up my channel & don’t even have my vehicle yet. But I want to document my journey from hermit to nomad, more for myself but also for other older people considering the adventure. If people join me on my journey, that will just be icing on my nomad cake. Thanks again. Looking forward to your build experiences!
In South Carolina and probably many other states there are national forest areas in many forests a camping permit is required that may be free but one must go through the hassle of stopping at a national forest office and filling out paperwork. In some states in some areas of the forest no permit is required so the benefit is you can simply drive along the forest road and stop and camp and stay there awhile all for free.
Congratulations on your new-to-you van! 🚐 May it carry you on countless exciting adventures and provide you with unforgettable travel memories. Safe travels! 🌍✨
I love woodworking and cabinetry trades. I would help, but I am from Arizona. I enjoy custom build-off. I wish you the best of luck building this van life. You will do just fine as you go.
This girl is amazing. Such a quality careful, calm and a beautiful natured person. This is the type of girl I've looked for for my whole life. See how humble and pleasant she is, yet very self aware. I can listen to you for hours - no kidding. I wish I lived closer. I've never been to Florida Love from New Zealand 😍
Elisa, so many things I want to say after seeing this video. First, so good to see you and congratulations on the new purchase. I have to admit, I for one am looking forward to you building the van out and after watching you work through how you wanted the SUV to function I'm confident the van will turn out amazing. You mentioned one of the pro's of doing the conversion yourself was the cost savings which is true but I feel building it out yourself also gives you a complete understanding of the systems and knowing how to fix should one fail. As far as having to put out content I'm conflicted. Of course we would love to see what you're up to all the time but I also feel it would take away from the quality of what brought us here in the first place. Great to see you again and looking forward to the next one
Just found your channel. Very impressed! I have a 2021Promaster 3500 ext I built out 18 most ago. This was my 2nd van. Excited to watch your previous videos and follow your build
Yay!!! Good for you! Now the fun begins. The build-out will be the fun part (albeit a challenge at times) but like you said the DIY aspect is a great sense of accomplishment too. The UA-cam buildout videos will give you a lot of great ideas. Happy for you and wish you the best as you move forward in this new venture. Great dress too!! I look forward to seeing how it turns out for you. Keep doin you, stay safe, and enjoy the journey.
Congratulations. Looks like a really nice van. You have a big job ahead of you, but it should be very rewarding. Can't wait to see what you'll come up with.
Glad to see another person who wants to enjoy traveling. Ive built several vans now and started off with a Chevy astro van. Which had several *Mile 0* stickers on it lol. I had a coleman air mattress and camping gear in three good sized totes. When i got itchy feet id finish the jobs i had scheduled and hit the road for a few weeks. Having that experience is what convinced me that this type of lifestyle was suited for me. I purchased two full sized vans and did the interiors. Keep in mind, i am a contractor and also do boat refits. So that combination really helped me with design and building. The latest is a one ton hightop im currently working on. In addition to that. Ill be leaving the great lakes region soon and heading for warmer weather. Im looking for the perfect sail boat to set up for cruising. My van will be more or less my shore home and go getter while im at the marina. But anything you are trying to figure out i and a lot of other people would be more than happy to give you any advice on. Its not too difficult if you just have the drive and patience to work things out. Theres no "perfect" anything for everyone. You make it your perfect for you. Although there will be a few things that will require some creative thinking. But don't let that scare you. When i did my first van build i had plenty of people saying its nuts and, who would do that? Buy a motor home like everyone else does. Theres places you just can't take a motorhome and as a solo traveler. I just didn't want or need that much vehicle. Again, your perfect. And now look, thats become a huge phenomenon globally. So my point is, this is your dream and your life. What we take when its all over is our memories. We only kick this rock once, give it hell. In your later years you will be talking with friends who guaranteed will say, "i just wish i would have." And you can smile and say i don't have a single thing i wish i did. Theres a few i could have done again but I had other things to do yet. So with that, i welcome you to a community who understands that call. And we're happy to help. But please, wear some PPE. that stuff is nasty. See already some good advice.
Congratulations on following your dream! Best of luck in the build..and I think you nailed it when you asked yourself, “what is my lifestyle going to be in order to enjoy the van!” Sounds like you are thinking well ahead…I look forward to seeing how the build goes!
This woman is So Beautiful inside and out . Love her spirit !
Good luck renovating your van Elisa

I like how you approach things. You do you and post when you want to not go by what others expect you to do.
Great choice. I look forward to seeing the progress on the new van. I have no doubt you will do an excellent job of making this happen just as you want. Best of luck.

I watched this 3 times and I have not noticed a van yet.
Awesome girl so happy to see you still making videos , you have really good content and are a relaxing and beautiful person to listen to 👍👍👍👍👍❤
Congratulations on the purchase of your van. I'm looking forward to following your build, travels and adventures. Stay safe and healthy.

Welcome to UA-cam…. Thumbnails matter 😄
THATS WHY I CAME HER-TO SEE HER BODY
Love that you are taking your time and showing us your process!!! I’ve wanted to do this too for a long time just not ready yet.

I hope this is appropriate…..I LOVE that you don’t have tattoos !
Totally agreed 👍
Agreed....my girlfriend is also 100% free of them....sooooo many people are going to have blurry paint jobs when they are older...that will look like bruises basically LOL
I think tattoos on women are unattractive
Always so curious why men feel the need to comment on women's bodies when it's irrelevant and unsolicited. For the record, it's not appropriate.

Felicidades!!!🎉
. . . and wear clear safety glasses. There's no do-overs if you damage your eyes. You need them to drive!
Agree
Why none of that stuff really works lol 😂
Thanks dad.
Your Dad is simply awesome and you are beautiful and cool. Safe travels!
It's very impressive that you are putting some much thought in to this van build. Good luck to you as you follow your dream. 😊

Good luck with the build. I pick my 'blank canvas' VW Crafter LWB this coming Friday, I can't wait to get stuck into it. 🙂

Congratulations on your van. I know you will enjoy when you get everything done. Just enjoy the journey getting it the way you want it.
I really admire your courage. Congrats on your brand new used van. I'll be following!
I built out 3 pro masters. Tip, choose which side you want your water system on and build around that and your bed.
Love your channel so far. Keep being your authentic self.

It’s so nice to watch a lady not afraid to get her hands dirty fixing anything. Nice project with your step dad!
37K mileage is almost new! Good for you! Congrats!
You picked a ticking time bomb for a van. Promaster has so many issues. Mine self destructed. Never missed scheduled service. Good luck.
Great, I’m really happy for you!!!
Let me tell you something, that is my dream and I want to make it true one of these days.
I can’t wait to see your van when you finish with all transformations.
Just finished my 2nd build with the same van. Love the ProMaster shape and it's extra wide too!!
Congratulaions, 'bought a new 2018 Promaster and about 90 percent complete. Will join your community soon! Take care. ( New subscriber)
I can’t wait to see what you build. In 7 more years I hope to be building my van too.

Congratulations on the new van
And you will enjoy the time building
But there will be tough fixes and UA-cam will be your best friend
Glad to be a part of your journey looking forward seeing you on the road
I love your sense of independence. Not giving in to what others say is the “right” thing to do.
I like this type of video. I really enjoyed watching you and hearing your story. Looking forward to the next.
I am looking forward to seeing the finished product!
Good luck with the build on your new van.
Awesome. I have a 2019 2500 sprinter Benz. I insulated the whole back to keep it cool. You should look into that. 😊 enjoy
This girl is amazing. Such a quality careful, calm and a beautiful natured person.
This is the type of girl I've looked for for my whole life. See how humble and pleasant she is, yet very self aware.
I can listen to you for hours - no kidding. I wish I lived closer. I've never been to Florida
Love from New Zealand 😍
Thank you for the kind words! :)
Thank you 💕 I appreciate you watching my videos :)
@@soloelisa Gorgeous as ever!!😍😍 Love your honest presentation. Please stay safe.
Just found your channel. Very impressed! I have a 2021Promaster 3500 ext I built out 18 most ago. This was my 2nd van. Excited to watch your previous videos and follow your build
Come to Washington State! You'll love it here.
Congratulations!!! So happy for you and maybe Chloe 😊. Slow & steady. 💪🏽 I'm routing for you.
I just purchased a small RV. Simple living and enjoying nature is my goal. I can’t wait to see how you decorate your van!!
A mini split HVAC system is a must have ! Please look into it. Mounted on the left back door is perfect.
This is one thing I love about this girl no tattoos ❤🙏👍💪😎
The sound of the rain in the background is so pleasant.
You did well. Brava!
Elisa, I just found your amazing channel- I have lots of catching up to do. That’s a great van!
Congratulations. Looks like a really nice van. You have a big job ahead of you, but it should be very rewarding. Can't wait to see what you'll come up with.
Congrats on your journey with the build-off van! Many more to follow your adventure. 🎉
Congrats on the van! May you wander never lost. I really look forward to watching it happen.
Maybe I'll see ya on the road one day.
I look forward to seeing how you set up your home on wheels and the adventures and joy it will bring you happy trails 🙏
At least its getting colder here now. Chilly. At night at least. Congrats on your new van! Excited to see the outcome.
Congratulations on following your dream! Best of luck in the build..and I think you nailed it when you asked yourself, “what is my lifestyle going to be in order to enjoy the van!” Sounds like you are thinking well ahead…I look forward to seeing how the build goes!
