Vern there is a weight conversion chart you can Google! A 58 cm bass comes in at 4lb 12 oz approximately! Lovely fish and fair play for the effort and care you took to make sure it went back ! Probably 6/7 years old in fish time .Sometimes things happen for good reason, just as well Keith was late 🙈🤪🎣👍

Nice session you were definitely on top form as for them reels thay were all right i didn't think they Machined that cage foot very good sold them chrome rockets still cast better then them.and when you cast off the ground that's where the problem is because when swing the lead you drop your lead down so you know your release button is off. I've fished with abu rockets for years never had that problem all the best woody 😂😂😂but thats my opinion.😂😂😂

@@peterc1927 Keith treated me to cod and chips at chapel so that was nice. Always worry putting them back but tide was really low and a sand bank in front. All was good though. My best Bass so was chuffed with that. All the best Peter thanks for the support to the channel.

Enjoyed your video Vern, watched half of it last night the went for creamy pints of Guinness as usual but this time we were joined with a Catholic priest over here from Canada.
Watched the remainder this morning and when you cast short I just knew that was when the bass was going to come, I lure fish exclusively for bass, all my big ones come out in the shallows, some only two rod lengths out, food for thought?
Also when are you going to interview Keith? Like you did with John, it could be a new section to your channel when you fish with a guest,(like a mini podcast).

Another good watch that bass was a great fish bigger than what I’ve ever caught and I get then often up here in north wales 🏴 mine are always low 40’s or smaller. Take care oh when we going to see the end of the rod build at this rate you will have to put part one up again to refresh our memory’s 🤣🤣🤣🤣 my wife always calls Audi drivers nobs or Audis as Nobs cars 🤣🤣🤣

I need some advice on repairing a rod Vern as will be back end of July and need to get some supplies got the whipping sorted bonda seal eyes got hear but what high build do you use or epoxy’s if you don’t mind. Got plenty of time to do them until the tourists bugger off the beaches 😂😂 cheers. Roy

@@jimmyrosbotham8006 I can tell the difference between peen reels and Abu by the way they sound yes. All depends on what you do to them with the internals. Can I tell the difference between different Abu mag elites no. It’s all marketing to keep selling those reels but nice to have. Reels set up purely for cast there are huge differences. Gets very technical.

So does one need a ticket to fish and to park?
@@pirththee All day ticket is £4 from 6am to 10pm but parking charges are from 10am to 5 pm. Overnight pass is £50 from 10pm to 6am I guess but you need check on council website. Limits on vehicles size I believe.
