Great video! I do a lot of wrassing here in Cornwall with hardbacks. We're all aware of the proverbial 50 pence sized hardbacks but this year I've been experimenting with large, palm of your hand sized crab cut in half. Results so far have shown that the larger crab baits attract the larger fish.

Brilliant video so much fun wrasse me and my mate found a spot it's full of big fish even had Japanese jig heads snapped, not being able to stop them.

My method for wrasse is a boom rig with 2 booms, 2 short hook lengths of 4 inches and king rag

Re: Using a leader. I just use 25lb Trilene straight through. No messing about on the rock and no top eye/weed on leader knot hassles. The caveat to the 25lb is that I'm fishing extremely rough ground.
