- A small fire on the beach at Lindisfarne in Northumberland really captivated my imagination, but the thing that really kept nagging at me was... how do I paint fire?
In this demonstration, I explore one possible solution to the challenge of painting fire in watercolour.

Unusual subject Peter, haven’t seen any other videos on fire. Great idea. Thanks.
Thanks Brian - I'm always looking for something slightly different - this one rather presented itself out of the blue
Thank you so much peter! Ready for my painting now!
Very helpful, thanks.
Thank you Peter for this good idea painting the northern lights. It is an incredible hard work to bring this light on paper. I try this since two years and I only made it in pastel. Today I tried to paint it in watercolor but I got mad! I always wanted to have it darker on the top, but when ever I went in with fresh dark blue color I also washed out some colore. In the end, it hasn`t been darker but much brighter! Well, guess I have to exercise a little bit longer. But thank you for teaching us painting the northern light.
that is a good tutorial ,thank you
I really needed this!
Thank you, Peter! I'm eager to try this.
I'm pleased it's inspired you... don't get burnt...

I literally thought I was watching an asmr vid lol
Very nice
"In the pink and crinkleys"?!? Does that mean naked? If it does its my new favorite term . LMAO
Indeed it does - a perfect translation!
Pink and crinklies... I have a guess what that's referring to 🤣
Its an old Mike Harding expression meaning 'stark naked'... nothing too rude...
