I love your videos. Thank you for all the great tips and for zooming in when doing the fine details, it helps a lot! This one is going into my "watercolor" playlist :)
Love the simplicity, the tips etc, and such a good practice, painting subject. Thanks Stephen, yet again, for all the advice, have your brushes, the foliators and others, and books, and so nice to see it in action. Steve From London
Hi Steve, Many thanks for your postive comments. It's great to know that I have helped inspire you and thanks for using my books and products. All the best, Steve
You are welcome. You may be someone who likes to take care and time when painting. Nothing wrong with that but with watercolour the quicker you paint the better the result will be. Keep practicing! Best wishes, Steve
Hi Kelly, Thanks for your comments. That's the beauty of this type of study. You can try it with loads of different colours. You can put the trees and boat where you like and really experiment with other additions. Good luck and I'm pleased you've been inspired Best wishes, Steve
Hello Linda, It's just thousands of hours of practice that's all! Just relax and give it a go. No two watercolours can ever be the same so if it doesn't look like mine don't worry. Try it several times until you get one you are pleased with! Best wishes, Steve
Hi there, Thanks for your question. Firstly I assume you mean reflections not shadows. The two are quite different. I've studied reflections and written a book on the subject and you can actually represent reflections in many different ways. They can be softer than the subject or a similar tone dependant on the conditions. So in answer to your question, in my view they are not too strong. Best wishes, Steve
Really nice! You are a good teacher!
Thanks for another informative lesson Stephen.
