- On this episode we feature Fernando's (OSTAR Motorsports) 2019 Audi TTRS! Once again Audi exceeded our expectations with this RS Series car, this TTRS has been 9's in the 1/4 mile while still running factory turbo, engine, and transmission. It launches like a bat out of hell on the 15" drag pack clocking 0-60MPH in just over 2 seconds! In my opinion Audi/VW has really knocked it out of the park with the newest generation of TTRS/RS3/S3 and Golf R. All are in the 10s with ease and of course some in the 9s. They are nasty for sure!

I wish people went as crazy on tuning the S4/S5 RS5 as they do on the RS3/TTRS
@@marquesridley2464 weight is a big factor. It can be done but at that point you might as well go with tuning a smaller, faster car.
TTRS is about 3100lbs
Rs3 about 3500
S4 about 3900
Jamuzik true, i work for Audi and have driven all stock Models n a modded RS5 .. i just like the delivery of the V6 on those platforms.. inline 5 is very linear power band.. i like the torque punch ..
but the durability and stability of VAG TFSI engines are crap and the image of the VAG group.... .
Here in Europe we never forgot the TTRS. Its a populair car together with the RS3 hatchback and saloon.

I don't have any new school Audi's, but 034Motorsport puts passion into every part that they produce. I'm very happy with all of my early 90's to 80's 5cyl parts. Purely awesome.

I've been a vw/audi fan my whole life and learned about the 5 cylinder since the Audi URS4 and URS6 in the beginning of my wrenching days. this company knows how to build a car when they want to! a lot of people sleep on vw/audi..im they're finally getting recognition

My first car was a 2001 tt225 6 speed manual and I fell in love. I know the tt has come a long way from what they used to be, but for a 2001 German sports car, it was great. I can’t wait until I can buy one of these.

Omg. Those VW/Audi cars get crazy with bolt Ons. I remember those 1st gen R32’s getting crazy with just chip and exhaust. Now we’re here.
I would daily drive the HELL outta those race wheels! LOVE the look of actual RUBBER on a car, instead of the usual biggest / thinnest tires possible.
Totally agree! Meaty tires looks so good. I run 265/35-19 with Pirelli Trofeo-R on mine.
Biggest/thinnest are for people only concerned with looks, those of us that know what performs know you want some actual rubber.

I own a 2019 TT RS with several APR upgrades and a stage 2 tune. My wife is more afraid of that TT than her 2020 Audi R8 V10 Performance, lol. I recently put RaceLine carbon ceramic disc brakes on the front just to stop it easier, because it just wants to fly. My tuner final found a set of rear carbon ceramics but it’s another 10k to put them on. I’m still up in the air on putting them on. But I sure would like to loose that extra unsprung weight off the rear.

Why is that? Florida giving out deals or availability issues? I live close to a Audi Dealer and haven't seen any of these their or in their spare lot. I've seen quite a few RS3's though and they are awesome! 😎
I remember I went to wash my car, I saw this same color TT RS and man they sound nasty AF. Dude came in and out, and on the way out, he punched it and the acceleration is pretty insane.

That one thing I always cringe at with car owners...when they try to compare their cars to their bigger brother cars. The TTRS is a dang good car, but please just stop trying to make it be as good as an R8. Yes, it could be as fast as a R8, but it will never be one.

Well around here a lot of people call the RS3 the baby R8
Its a more popular car then the ttrs thats why. But this is the true baby r8 its a coupe not a sedan like the rs3
RS3 is a great car. Those who own them say they are baby R8’s only because you can achieve R8 speed with a tune and downpipe, but other than speed, the R8 is in a completely different league.
The TTRS is the more true baby R8 dude to its profile and 2 seats, making it a true sports car, unlike the RS3 being a sedan that’s just fast and nothing more.
Ikr the rs3 uses the same engine as the ttrs. With a tune and basic bolt ons, it really goes!
Not to mention we've all seen the commercial of the r8 giving birth to the rs3. It's literally the r8's baby lol

Also, 2 questions: 1) what’s that chime we hear when you’re launching from a dig and 2) assuming he had to swap in smaller brakes to fit the 15” wheels-what rotors/calipers/adapter kit did he use?
He sells the full kit for it to work. Its a willwood calliper front and rear, which is why the chime is on when you stop, as it replaces the factory e brake. So you can’t use the E brake on this set up, which you don’t need at the track tbh

Coming from the stock 19 inches will with a tire spec 245/35R19 to a 15 inches wheels and beefier tires, what is the gain/lose in terms of grip, ride, and handling? Why not a 17 inches set of wheel and a slightly higher diameter brakes for brake performance?
Did you compromise some by reducing the wheel size?
Do you think going to 245/50R17, it will make posible to fit those spec into the car, and what disk brake and caliper should be used for maintaining responsiveness of original brake setup?

The Audi RS6 is the real beast on a stage 2 map just exhaust and filters it hits roughly 760whp which is beastly and the thing just grips and goes, the rs3s I call them baby lambos because of the sounds

@ You do realize the head on this car is literally 1/2 of the same head used in the Huracan V10? Your 2200hp 4G63 example is irrelevant because it will NEVER see the street unlike some of the Underground Racing builds running 2000+ hp that are daily driven! 4G63 is a great engine, but these are a much more advanced platform. Volkswagen Auto Group also has several cars in the top 10 fastest times for stock production cars on the Nurburgring. The GTR only managed #14 on the list....driven by Nissan's own factory racer. Volkswagen owns Bugatti and Lamborghini.....among several other brands. Nissan was once known as Datsun :)

sure why not, over here they tune these on the stock turbo to 630hp on pumpgas, on e85 715hp both having 800nm, more than adequate for that time. no shit it's 530 and 715nm sorry.

My 2001 Audi TT Quattro still makes me smile even at a 1.8t all stock. These are very light cars and small. Gocart on crack
The reason you see more RS3’s over TTRS’ is the fact that the TT version is substantially more expensive. Most people are buying these cars for the engine so saving 8 grand at the expense of some weight (take back seats out and problem solved) is a no brainer for most.
