- 早朝の伏見稲荷大社へ伺いました。朝の6時頃には既に海外の観光客の方たちが参拝されていました。山頂まではあっという間で体も動かせ清々しい気持ちになれました。
Fushimi Inari Taisha (伏見稲荷大社) is the head shrine of the kami Inari, located in Fushimi-ku, Kyoto, Kyoto Prefecture, Japan. The shrine sits at the base of a mountain also named Inari which is 233 metres (764 ft) above sea level, and includes trails up the mountain to many smaller shrines which span 4 kilometres (2.5 mi) and take approximately 2 hours to walk up.
First and foremost, Inari is the kami of rice, but merchants and manufacturers have traditionally worshiped Inari as the patron of business. Each of the torii at Fushimi Inari Taisha has been donated by a Japanese business.
This popular shrine is said to have as many as 32,000 sub-shrines (bunsha (分社)) throughout Japan.

The last time I visited the Inari Shrine, there was no sign to direct traffic at the two-way torii near the start of the journey, or it was in January 2014... in other words, I have not visited Kyoto for nearly 7 years. I need to go back! Speaking of the camera, I do not own a Blackmagic camera like yours, but I recently switched to Davinci Resolve 16 for editing myself. It is a great editing software, and I am still learning the in's and out's of it. Cheers.

Those stone lanterns look too durable and aesthetically expressive for just being a housing for the light sources. I guess light plays a huge role in Kami religion, so that's why "light housings" are like that. Each of lanterns looks like a temple for the light by itself. If consider that fire was the only one artificial light source back then and there is a God of fire in Shinto religion, then I understand why lanterns are like temples....
動画の中でも見られましたが外国からの観光客にはかなり人気のある神社ですよね。日本旅行で京都に訪れた動画でも必ずと言っていいほど、千本鳥居のシーンは出てきます（笑）
札幌にも分祀された伏見稲荷神社もあるし、地名としても伏見という区域があるのでそういう意味でも個人的に親近感が湧く神社でもあります。
あと、話しは逸れますが意外（？）に出雲大社とも繋がりがあって、同じ伏見区にあるＴ高校と、そこの吹奏楽部に憧れて今や姉妹とも言われてる出雲のＳ高校吹奏楽部との不思議な縁もそういうところからもあるのかなって、こじつけで思った事がありました（笑）

Fushimi Inari Shrine is generally said to enshrine the god of agriculture and industry.
If write inari in kanji, it will be “稲荷”, Inari's "稲" means Rice.
