    I get a lot of 8-16in logs in the loads that I order. So I added the 12-way wedge for a one and done split on most of the eood I get in. If get knotty bigger wood, will just run the 4-way wedge as I've got the 28C on order. The 35 ton model definitely pushes through the knotty stuff easier with the 12-way.

    I upgraded from a 37Ton Husky to the Electric Start 35Ton C with the magnum and autocycle package. This machine is awesome and well built. The four way wedge combined with the increase in cycle time speed, splitting a full cord is a joy. The log lift is a back saver. I would recommend the overhead light package for working late evenings. The machine must be equipped with the electric start package.

      I commented on another video. It takes damn near a full day to split a cord. It’s a 37 ton from home depot. Champion I think it’s called.
      I want one of these machines bad! Firewood business where I’m at is pretty poor. We go through about 1.5 cord of oak & 2 cord of pine a season. That machine, I could split 5 seasons of firewood in a weekend while double fisting beer.

      One of the best woodsplitters out their Chris. I spoke with you a couple years back when a down payment was necessary but ended up with a champion 34 ton single wedge and then a rugged made 37 ton with lift and 4 or 6 way.I consider your Wolfe ridge and eastonmade best 2 wood splitters. I also watch the Morgan's regularly and see your splitter in use alot.

    Would love to see a side by side video comparison of your most comparable unit to an eastonmade 22-28 and showing a box wedge as well as 6 way. This is your most equal competitor and guarentee those looking at your units are researching Eastonmade.
    I like the valve setup & structure of the eastonmade better but would rather buy usa vs Canada.. At this price point, both being near the same, it comes down to the better machine and lead time.
    Essentially why should someone buy your spliitter over the competition.
    Thanks in advance.

    H iChris, This is for you and your customers. I think the stacking. loading and packaging is the bottle-neck in any wood seller's operation. I am sending this information on an auto-stacker. It loads a face cord at a time. But I think you could change that if you wanted. To me, this is the answer to the stacking bottle-neck. All you would really need to make one is the drum and the mesh. Lots of material handling companies make plastic mesh. The rep. said that the mesh lets the wood breathe and dry very quickly and you don't have to handle it once split. He welcomes inquiries. They are going to be at Paul Bunyan this year. To me this is the wood selling industry's best kept secret. You could load the drum off a conveyor or from a bucket. Anyway, you can package it fast and easy. The double drum version allows you to load one drum while you wrap another. And I think the pricing for the turnkey versions are very reasonable. Please let me know your thoughts. I want one! ;-)) (My wife is gonna kill me) Shalom/gw

I am doing wood here in North Central Kansas, most of the wood around here that we deal with is hedge, oak, walnut, hackberry, ash, locust, what are your thoughts on 28 ton vs 35 ton here? Also, the compact commercial vs the HO models is really only the chassis otherwise same components? Thanks

      How many cords a year do you plan on splitting? I'm on pace to split 50 cords this year and plan on processing 100 cords next year to sell in 2023-2024. Ordered the compact commercial 28C with the magnum pkg, auto-cycle, and electric start.

    • @andystampfli9127
      @andystampfli9127 2 роки тому +1

      Plan on propane the first year. Then you will want around 20 full cord before you sell any. Remember it's not how much you'll burn it's how much you might burn And then double it to be sure. Pine and poplar are crap BTU wood but it's what you have so make use of it. The "splitter for you" is a loaded question because you probably have different ideas of split size for you vs selling. I'd say a basic 28 with a 4way would be a good start. However, both of those woods dry quick and if you give yourself a year you might not need to split much
