@celliz51773 'Characters' tend to burn themselves out really quick. 'Boring' players like Giggs and Scholes normally last much longer. Anyway, all managers would prefer their players to be 'devoid of personality' - makes their lives easier (and makes sure that they get most of the media attention).
i would say the promising English footballers dont get the chances they used to to develop as in Gazzas generation- we have all these lovly forengners now ! The english get farmed out to lower league clubs. RESULT= we dont qualify for Euro 08 and will never win a world cup. but we have the lovly Premiership !

Should have stayed at Newcastle. Ruined at Spurs without any disapline........down hill all the way after apart from a semi pro stint at Rangers.
