- This week's guest on the Making Waves Podcast with Tom Prather is Adam Reiver. Adam is the founder and owner of FU-Tone, the ultimate in tonal and performance upgrades for your guitar. He has been working on improving tone with the greatest guitar players in the world for the last 25 years such as Slash, Nuno Bettencourt, Phill Collen, Mick Mars, and many, many more. Adam also invented and partnered with Eddie Van Halen on the EVH D-Tuna that changed how musicians played the instrument.
In this conversation, we discussed chasing the American dream while building a solid business from the ground up, what it’s like to work with Eddie Van Halen, and the state of the guitar industry as we know it!

The story goes that Randy Hansen (Jimi Hendrix tribute guy) demo'd the Floyd Rose to EVH. Floyd Rose was in a Seattle band Q5, Randy Hansen lived in King County. So FR let Randy try his whammy before EVH.

Nephellim are you going to wire up the neck pickup to a volume push pot? Adam showed me that mod and it’s a “hidden” gem!
@@MakingWavesPodcast, I've been actually debating whether to or not. I saw the Fu-Tone video where Adam gives the instruction on how to. It seems like a fairly straightforward mod.
