Today I need to repot my Spider Plant in its hanging basket because it is drying out very quickly and I suspect the roots have taken over the pot, I want to keep the plant in its hanging basket so I need to take a look and work out a way to correct the situation without going to a bigger pot.
Chlorophytum comosum or Spider Plants are known for their ability to quickly fill out their pots and grow roots that can become crowded. They can tolerate crowded pots fr some time but eventually, there will be little soil and therefore it will dry out too quickly. When this happens it's time to repot them to give them more space to grow and thrive. Repotting also allows you to replace the soil, which can provide more nutrients to the plant and prevent diseases.

You're so brave! I always get hesitant about doing the drastic things plants sometimes need to thrive. You've given me courage to transplant my own spider. Many thanks!
Yes sometimes you need to be brave, but these things almost always make the plant so much happier, this spider plant really perked up after I did this and soon started to put out babies!
Plan to tackle my spider plant now. This video gave me a bit of hope to give it a try. 😅
Great to hear! Let us know how you get on! :-)
Look at those roots!
Still got some biscuits to transfer?
Added an email address to the 'about' section on the channel.
Email away and we can organise a transfer!

I may or may not have eaten them! 😁 I can’t be trusted in the same house as biscuits for more than a month before the inevitable happens. Having said that my wife is in South Africa in a few weeks so I’ll ask her for another packet and just make sure the transfer happens faster then my resolve disintegrates. 👌
@@HouseplantHacks cheers! I loved S Africa both times I went.
Just trimmed back a begonia and made a cutting...

Hey Fred, I now have bisc in hand. I couldn't see the email address on your channel so I messaged you on your Epoh Derf Insta.
Just inspired me to check mine and lo and behold it's potbound. Now I know why I've had to water it so much
Thank you for cutting plant in half. I didn't know what to do with my root bound spider.
Thanks for the help! My 🪴 who is named, Bernard, is doing much better with your assistance!
So pleased to hear it! Give my regards to Bernard.
I cut some off bottom then repotted will do fine
It's the last of July going to be 100 today you have a good day
