Paralleling is quick & easy. At the large Hospital that I retired from they had three 2 meg Cat gen sets at one end of building and four 760 KW Cat natural gas ( big Pigs ! ) at the other end of the building that would start & and snc within ten seconds. While performing monthly ATS testing after a few minutes one gen set would drop out because of low load.

I would love to see what type of backup system David has at his house. I have seen everything from portable honda generators in the background to generacs to massive diesel generators. Would love to see what he would recommend for general home backup.
I have a 20 year old generac 40KW when I initially built my house, added my shop and added another 45KW generac -- right now they are serviceing the 40KW and I have towable 80KW diesel backing up the whole thing -- When I was broke I did propane generac and on my new facilities now I do diesel real gensets -- thanks for watching -- look for a video very soon on this topic. --
