Yosuke and yu have been into arms dealing. Rise wants to join in
Yosuke doesn't know though. If you do his rank 5 scene, and then talk to him in a dungeon while he's not on the main team, he will say he's disappointed cause he couldn't find any of "the goods" in Yu's room. Either Yu doesn't have any, or he's way better at hiding them than Yosuke is.

It's like how they say the pitch of a girl's voice shows how much she likes you. Around everyone, she has a slightly higher pitched voice, but not too high. But then, when she's talking about Yu or alone with him, her pitch shoots up several levels. She falls for him HARD.
@@Noobzlikeu She talked that way at first because she was depressed and stressed out from idol work. Her peppy voice is how she acts normally, she just wasn't feeling well enough before being saved by everyone. You're right about the voice pitch being a thing, but a lot of people do forget that she explains why she acted that way when you met her.

I respectfully disagree!
Rise Kujikawa’s character can be likened to, say, actresses or even models, who more likely have to put up with the kinda shit Rise does: being put on a pedestal, people only seeing and liking the image she offers instead of the real person, etc. Rise’s Shadow is RISE not knowing who she is anymore (I’d argue the Animation version fleshes that out more than the game does). All of this being said, it makes sense why Rise is the lovers archetype; women of that caliber (especially models) are very feminine and prefer that their looks not be the only thing guys appreciate.
Its strange how one of the first characters you see is Actually Rise but you meet her during June
at least in persona 4 the lover arcane feels like lover, in persona 5 with ann just make you feel like you steal your best friend crush lol

Eh, I didn't see any dialogue that particularly indicated that Ryuji has a crush on Ann, so I went for it. Some might say her social link felt shallow, but I love her anyway. She just gives off an incredible positive energy.

P4 really made me turn around on ENG VAs, I don’t think even P5 is this great, I absolutely love P4’s cast, it’s so insanely good, the voice acting is actually so good.
There’s the thing with Japanese lingo being translated to English, yeah it’ll always be awkward but the VA really made that sound great.

I have a feeling that with how many full, COMPLETELY voiced lines Rise has, she is the canon relationship for MC. Haven’t gotten to any other Persona 4 media yet other than the game so that’s just my prediction
There is no canon, just like the other games. It's whoever _you_ want it to be. The animation dodges the question entirely, and he gets in no relationships.
However, the game hints Yukiko and Rise strongly with the MC with their character arcs.
@@loganw1232 It hints them all, at least in the Investigation team. Hell at one point the normally stoic Naoto is tripping over herself and is flustered/blushing beyond all belief because he said a few nice words to her in the hospital with Nanako.
However, Yu is the ultimate Chad. In fact, he's so much a next-level chad that he _doesn't bother dating any of them at all_ . He just leaves them all wanting.

After listening to a lot of Critical Role's second campaign, there are many moments when I listen to Rise and can't help but picture Jester, especially drunk Rise. It's like Laura's voice for her was a Jester Alpha test.

The way she flirts with you throughout most of the game regardless of if you are dating her or not makes me think the Devs thought of her as the canon girlfriend - they probably figured that since it is a Japanese game and most players will be single guys then almost everyone would want a chance to date an idol.
I like how Persona 4 makes it obvious that they wanted you to go down this path. They’re like “all these other girls are fine and all, but she’s literally the best social link, second best dungeon theme, and even hints that she likes you before you even get the social link.”

Something about her saying "senpai, I love you" is a bit weird feeling. She is speaking to you as a lesser, but also saying she loves you.
As a lesser? Senpai means "upperclassman." And the only reason she calls him that is cause they have to make it so nobody has to read aloud whatever the player picked for a name.

You may like Rise or not, but she is the only true romance in the game, you never have an instance for love to be developed with the other girls, at least nothing meaningful. You only have a certain type of interactions with both Yukiko and Chie, is almost like you're not even there, you just say stuff like 'I support you" and/or "I like you"
With Rise you have all sort of interactions, fun and boring, happy and sad, etc. you get to know her better, so is not strange for the mc to ended up being much closer to her.
This is all tied up very well at that certain point in the game where Rise has a breakdown, at that point, if you choose to let her know you're there for her is not a "I like you wanna be my gf?" moment, no, you're not doing it bc you like her, but bc you actually want her to be ok, and that's romance for you.
(I don't even count Naoto bc the mc wants her to be different, and that means he literally doesn't like her)
