Well if you want to make the most out of your umx . The draco battery 300 mah 4s wakes up your new umx . Don't try with old 2s umx only new ones. As well be throttle efficient as esc will heat up. Thy it have fun
I just subscribed because you did a better job explaining the safe mode (even though I already understood it) than I have heard anybody ever describe and present. awesome job teaching people that are interested but just can't grasp some of the terms in the hobby. love your content
Funny thing, I actually never wear a hat. When I film its either pre-shower or im at the field keeping the sun out of my eyes 😂 Happy Dad hat is iconic though
That's Beautiful!! I Tell ya mannnn you got great precision eyes to fly that Plane with all those Trees and wires around , that's Impressive! That's not easy to do . I've flown my P51 out in the Rockaways one time and Hit a Light Pole with all the space I had LoL 😆 😅 . 😂 .
Self-leveling means the plane will level out if you let go of all controls. Bank limiting is the envelope that you must stay in if you are in safe. Sensor Assisted Flight Envelope.
Love me some general/commercial aviation plane love from the R/C manufacturers! Got me one of them Eachine T-28 Trojans and a Motion RC Skynetic Model 220. Probably gonna get a Top RC Hobby 450mm Mini SF260 as well. I already have one UMX, the Citation Longitude. But it's so fast without the flaps. This definitely seems more docile. Seems so planted as it flies. That's definitely a tier above those toy grade planes I've got.
Yeah the UMX line fly way better than the toy grade.. I had the Citation and LOVED IT!! Had an uncle walk on the runway on takeoff once. Didn't fare well for the plane lol.
Not sure whether or not I'll be getting this UMX model. I've had several different UMX models and though I've liked them all I keep coming back to the Timbers. My current UMX Timber EVO has seen better days, it is most likely I'll replace her before trying a different UMX plane.
UMX Timbers had my heart forever. I thought the UMX Timber X was my favorite but I’ve been flying the evo a ton and think it’s the true winner. Been flying them since the OG original UMX Timber 🔥 the scale factor and looks of the Cirrus are beautiful though! It does fly crisp
If everyone was onboard with it, I don’t understand why you couldn’t do the gender reveal. On another note, how about the gyro going absolutely nuts at the end of the video? Had me laughing. Another great video, very informative, thanks Jay!
Thanks man! He wanted it to be a surprise.. like no one knowing what was about to happen. Then randomly the plane with pink or blue smoke flying over head doing some loops etc. great idea. But I wasn’t getting hit with the fine 😂
Only uptight douchbags would say something about flying that sweet little plane there. I'm looking forward to adding this to my hanger when they start shipping. Great flying in those tight surroundings by the way.
Love it bro! Love your channel and your honesty about products. I can’t wait to see your new gas turbine jet with the sick red and black livery in the air! Hell, I’d love to fly with ya man. I’m not too far from L.I. NY.
Still waiting on that turbine! its new to the market so there were some firmware updates before it was final! Should be coming soon! And anytime man.. When the weather warms up all are welcome to come fly 🔥
ASAP, the turbine engine is new to the market. They were updating the firmware. Should have mine in the coming week or so. Hopefully, excited for that one ! I would throw my swiwin 80 in it from the MB-339 but I have thrust vector so it takes some power away and the 80 won’t be enough.
That looks great, i was going to buy one but looking at the specks you have to use a Spektrum DSMX/DSM2 compatible transmitter! i don't own any Spektrum stuff.
My buddy Christian is the 3D print master. I’m actually filming his new F35 tomorrow morning !! I’ll have that video up with his info so you can reach out to him for help 🔥
I really appreciate your videos Jay. I like the chest camera idea. Very helpful. I introduced my grandson & son in-law into flying as well as myself recently. So much fun:) Just wanted to say THANK YOU for all the information and tips you provide:)
@Jays_rcgarage I actually usually lower my stock throws, take excellent care of them, so what's the matter? Any help? They always at something begin as3x jitter.
She will drop a wing tip real quick if you land to slow. Need to keep 20% throttle until she touches. Narrow wing doesn't leave much lift left to hold the plane level . I own the 1.5. Definitely a much better bird then the UMX. Love the blue color but UMX planes don't to anything for me. To each there own. I just like bigger versions .
@@Jays_rcgarage As a recreational flyer without access to a FRIA, I enjoy flying my UMX collection in local parks. The size also makes them easy to transport & store.
@ needs to be trimmed. Mechanically before you do it from the remote. I’ll show in video. Also the flaps need an elevator mix. You can email me and I’m happy to help you set it up .. jaysrcgarage@gmail.com
You legally need to be under 250 grams . Before you need a club, sky ID flight plan as well as flight logs. Some areas have a slight variation of rules but under 250 grams you can fly anywhere but airports.
dont buy the bundle with the dxs. The dxs is a horrible transmitter and gets one into the spekrum ecosystem. It has no screen and is limted to certain aircraft. Id recommend getting a dx6e or even shooting for the nx7e/8. Its more expensive but worth it.
With all due respect. I really don't understand why you go so far as to advocate flying RC airplanes in residential neighborhoods. Would you play baseball on your street? Because with inertia that airplane is going to go right into someone's living room or straight through someone's windshield just the same, or god forbid you hit a pedestrian. All it takes is a bad hold when you're in a descent and you suddenly have some very serious problems. Maybe you're ok taking the chances with your radio setup and you feel it won't be an issue for YOU, but it's really pretty bad business showing this off for others in the hobby, ESPECIALLY the beginners yore targeting in this video.
@Jeremyno-ku2poWould you like for the hobby to not get completely shut down by regulation? Doesn't seem like it. It's a matter of behaving responsibly in a way that doesn't negatively impact the people around you. This is irresponsible, period.
It's a foamy. Even with the battery, this weighs less than a football. But hey, maybe you're right! Footballs could be breaking windshields and pedestrians, all over the country. I honestly don't know 🤷♂
Its more so a matter of knowing your skillset as well as your aircraft. Just in anything aviation. UMX aircraft like this are built with flying in smaller areas typically in mind. You run risk doing anything in life. Its a matter of evaluating if that risk is worth it or not. Id fly this absolutely in my neighborhood as there's open space as well as a fairly large open area within walking distance. Now would I fly my 80mm F-86 Sabre here? God no. The risk is not worth it. But this? If you manage to crash it into someone, someone's property, or a tree. The damage it'll cause will be SIGNIFICANTLY less than an 80mm jet or 1100mm warbird or even a bush plane of the same size. Again, its a matter of evaluating yourself as a pilot and your aircraft. If you're still new, give yourself more room for error. If you have been in the hobby a while like he has, then I guarantee he has evaluated his skillset and the aircraft. Can't be scared of everything but always can be cautious.
I think that means you need to practice more because you can’t just go straight to a umx you need to get an apprentice stol 700m that is a good cheap option and easyer to fly

The light poles are like magnets for planes. My A-10 met the same fait lol
UMX with navigation lights? Say less, I'm putting it in the cart. Awesome colors too!
I also want to try flying an airplane.
Piloting is hard, and landing is even harder, right?
Landing is always to most challenging but most rewarding part of flying. The right plane is key to learning 🔑

I have moved away from prop planes, but I like that one a lot. I have the UMX Sabre, but it is too quick for the yard.
F-86 is a tough one to fly in this spot. The ME-262 floats a little better!
Jay, you gotta put me in with Tyler Perry. I seen dance at and I’m like Steve Urkel when it comes to flying planes.
Uncle Tyler!!!

The fact that E-flite was able to make a UMX plane that detailed with that many features UNDER 250g! Bonkers man🔥

Jay. Would say the Habu ss 50mm to be a good first edf?
Definitely.. If you can swing the bigger 70mm I would go for that one!
I have the 70mm and the front wheel Clevis keeps breaking
there's nothing from stopping me im buying this plane
Micro planes that fly great are just awesome. They have come such a long way. 💯 I look forward to trying this one out!

Smooooooth 😂
A linear server does not change the fact that they are very cheap quality and always end up needing replacement.
Ive never replaced a linear servo. EVER. And Ive had just about every UMX. As long as you dont max out the throws you should be fine.
