Just two teens and one pre-teen writing an exceptionally insightful song full of wisdom way beyond their years. Who writes like this? “We build buildings when what we need are bridges. We’re stuck within these walls.” Who writes and performs music like this that transcends the typical associated with modern music, questions the status quo, and makes us point fingers at ourselves? The Warning does. Great reaction.
I have always liked the symbolism that after guy's login in denied, other people start to bump into him, like they no longer "see" him or he lacks any importance. And then he is depressed because he is disconnected and is finally compelled to take a leap of faith. His "death" is his separation from the world he has always known. But his "disease" immediately starts to infect others with his "freedom", which is why the guys in the black SUV at the beginning of the video were hunting down the first guy who wasn't wearing the mask. The message is pretty clear. Those in control cannot allow anyone to have thoughts of their own. What is truly amazing is how "old" TW were when they created this song. Their level of insight into the world despite their youth has only increased in sophistication as they have matured.
They've recorded several songs warning about the dangers of technology, the internet, social media, artificial intelligence, etc. The irony, of course, is that their success as a band has been entirely due to the internet and social media. Oh, the catch-22-edness of it all! 🤣

My 9 year old takes the phones from us and puts them in a cardboard box labeled, "Device Prison". She drew and colored two guards, with the phones behind bars saying, "Help!"
As I've said on other reactions of this video, children this age have no business being this talented. It's mind blowing. They are basically starting a career at a level many bands aspire to achieve. And yes, they only got better.

Hey guys! I noticed you keep calling it "Century Blood"... the XXI is Roman numerals for "21", so it's "21st Century Blood" (or XXICB for short) ... They named the album and the the song that because all of them were born in the 21st century. The album is about the world from their generation's perspective! The video is EPIC as you saw. It is their first video ever, from their first album ever. Pretty damn Amazing!!!

That's the way I reacted! Late-comer to The Warning, so I went through ERROR a million times before going back to QOTMS and going through it a million times before finally getting to this masterpiece. It doesn't matter that they were only 17, 15, and 12 when they shot this, much less that they wrote it a year earlier. It's a masterpiece that needs no caveats.
Always really love your reactions! The movie you were looking for is Equilibrium (a really good movie!). Social commentary through meaningful lyrics is one of the things that makes The Warning so great! The high riff just before the chorus makes me unreasonably happy, I love it so much. What a great song, important message, and amazing video!

When we get into the structural details of each of their songs, we can realize that each of the musical creations, of these three beautiful, virtuous and talented creatures, are masterpieces. This is why every day I like them more... And it's too hard for me to decide a "Top 10" with their songs. In addition, it would be very unfair to leave several other melodies out of this Top. I like the new music the recording company is producing but it has nothing compared to their debut EP Escape the Mind, 21st-century blood, and QOTMS those 3 are top-notch powerful, and explosive music and songs with some of the greatest lyrics and concepts known to the rock world.
When I first saw this years ago, I got some serious Matrix vibes with the advanced technology, and the men in black (Mr. Smiths).😱 They are definitely way beyond their years lyrically, and musically!😍👍 *EDIT:* It's 21st Century Blood btw, not just Century Blood.😉

If they had signed with a record company then, this song probably would never have been made, because the record industry wanted to make a pop act out of them! Still one of the best songs they have ever made. That fake stop after the solo is a signature of TW songwriting, they do it in many of their songs. Thank you for your as always great reaction.
