Growing up in the 70’s, I was blown away by the thought provoking lyrics of groups like Rush and Kansas. Now that I’m a grandfather of 6 at 58, I’m soooo glad to see these amazing young ladies take the lead in their generation with profoundly heady but down to earth and much needed lyrics. I’m blown away every time I watch this video. And oh, by the way, the musicianship is wayyyy beyond their years. God has blessed them with talent far beyond their years. I cannot wait to see what happens with them in the next decade.
How cool is it that it isn't a bunch of teeny-bopper girls singing about going out on a Friday night or about the boys they like etc. These girls have put together a meaningful song with profound lyrics and a dark message. Its not making stuff up, its not sensationalising a minor topic, its a very real topic and one we can all relate to. Apparently this MV also won a bunch of awards when it was released, you can see why.
What's fascinating is, how do these kids, who were born into this world, literally born within the Twenty First century, and don't know a world any different that what we see today, write a song that warns of this century's pit falls and traps? I think we've all just been WARNED!

I'm 67 y.o. but have rarely been so impressed by a band. HXC, I like how you comment on the lyrics and the ideas behind them, and not just on the music per se. Kudos on a great channel.
I've watched this many times and I just now noticed in the end, the girls are playing in the daylight instead of in the garage or underground where they were for most of the video.
Maybe when she was younger, and small, she felt she needed to hit them hard to get a full, loud sound. She’s not hittin’ ‘em that hard in Choke, but she’s a grown woman now, so less energy can be spent for the same sound. 🤷🏻♂️
To me, this is still one of the most powerful rock music videos out there! You nailed the plot almost before it started.😉 Dany's annunciation is so good, you barely need to even see the lyrics to know what is being sung.😍 We've all been pulled into the dependence on mobile devices, social media, and technology in general, even *The Warning* themselves, but at least they are aware, and cared enough to put that warning out there in their music. This album was released when the girls were Dany 17, Pau 15, and Ale 12. This video was filmed on location in Monterrey. It was tough for them because of how hot it was.
The video that turned me on to The Warning... I stunned to learn that they wrote and composed all their own stuff as well. Love this video - and find something new every time - this time, the Warning logo when someone was scrolling their screen. (Prior, I saw that each of the girls was in one of the scenes, as well as - I think - Luis and Mony Villareal. ) Unbelievable... and they are unreal live! Can't wait till they get here in November! I remember when I saw this first time soon after it was released, I thought - WOW - they really have made a super video that really speaks true and hits hard. Looking again now, no loss of power and intensity to the music and the message. Reminds me a little of the Nightwish "Noise" video with its great visuals and sobering thoughts. Great reaction too - not too many up my street today, but this one definitely was. All ass backwards indeed.
These girls are way ahead of their peers. Maybe one day our young people will wake up and realize they really were being warned about the indoctrination of their generation to become the sheep of the future. Amazing video! Amazing reaction!

The Warning creates music that makes us think - they're deep. And this was off their 1st album. Can't wait to see where they go with their new album. The symbolism at the end is his "leap of faith" - and he comes out alive in the end. It was a symbolic jump. At least that's my take on it.
