This game could be pretty cool but this edgy writing is hard to digest.
It also seems to be badly advertised. It presents itself as a "roguelite inspired": driving game but it plays more like a visual novel with the occasional driving mini-game
Seems like a hate letter to the devs' collective dads.

at least the visuals/music are pretty nice, shame the other stuff kinda ruins it
@@XxZeldaxXXxLinkxX yeah it kinda reminds me of that monster prom/roadtrip game that i forgot the name of. that game was pretty popular and it's a whole series now on multiple platforms, and it feels pretty similar to this, so i think you're right that if they had marketed it differently it wouldn't feel like such a disappointment

Honestly seems fun and has a cool style but this writing is so self serious its crazy

I like the idea and style. The choices need a lot of work. Writing is fine not the best. Im just under an hour into the video, and it seems the driving courses could use a lil more zest (maybe make detours riskier with more obstacles)

ok if this came out 9 years ago i would've thought this game was cool as hell
the first 20 minutes and almost no driving but every event has been mundane, do X, or do Y, you get A and lose B

I want to tie a conservative gaming youtuber (à la Quartering or the average Kick streamer) to a chair and force them to play this game beginning to end. Is that too mean? That could be too mean.
i think they’d get more frustrated at the repetitiveness rather than the stereotyping (saying this as a non-conservative)
The options are divisive on purpose, it’s a personality-based adventure - the choices you may think are no brainers are viewed equally as obvious from the other side of the fence.
A conservative player (whose to say NL is not) would be equally as relaxed picking the opposite options to yourself because it is a _video game_
If you've watched NL for any reasonable length of time it's pretty easy to discern his politics in a general sense. Obviously no one is all one thing

Can people stop complaining about the writing. Its literally fine. Video games just like any other art media should be able to explore politics and social commentary.
it's cringey and 2-dimensional. Metal Gear games explore politics heavily in every game, you know why nobody complains about them? Because they're actually fun and the messages are interesting. The dialogue in this game reads like a celebrity twitter feed.
