I dont think winning out makes you worse. I think it makes you better because if you can dominate in challenges(which is a major pary of the game) you can play a dominant game without being voted out for being a threat
It's not the fact they won out, it's the fact they would have gone home had they not won out. Kelly was on the chopping block for conspiring against the alliance, they wanted her out, but she won challenges to keep her in. That's not a dominant game, that was squeezing by.

Can't justify watching any further after seeing Kelly at 62. Wtf is that? Kelly came very close to winning the game. There are so many finalists who could never have won under any circumstances. Makes no sense.
I don't like Coach. But that speech that he gave Cochran to get him to flip about how he knew what it felt like to be bullied and knew Cochran was being bullied was very impressive social awareness and showed a delicate touch that I didn't think Coach possessed. Impressive move.
I really like the analysis overall but there are definitely some rankings I disagree with. 62. Kelly Wigglesworth As flawed as Kelly's game was in the sense that she "won out", this was the very first season. I think immunity wins were more respected than ever in the very early seasons as the show was branded as more of a "survival" esque show. Not to mention, she came 1 vote away from being the first ever winner, and I know you have Richard considerably high on your winners rankings. I think she's nowhere near the 2nd worst runner up of all time. 58. Ken McNickle As much as I think Ken is a bit overrated, I don't think he should be this low because he did play a decent social game. He was able to form strong relationships with people like Hannah, David, Jessica and Will and if he does win the season, those are very good points that lead to him being a good winner. I'm not a fan of the F3 of S33 but I do think he should be a bit higher. 47. Jaclyn Shultz I honestly feel like Jaclyn doesn't get as much credit as she should. Her and Jon were equal decision makers and her game ensured he'd be voted out before her if it came down to it. Not to mention, she was the only woman to never get a vote on her original tribe premerge (which was a trainwreck) and she NEVER ended up getting a vote until Day 35. All the votes she gets on Day 37 are nullified and she then wins Final Immunity. She was also well respected and liked by the jurors. 46. Dean Kowalski In all honesty, I feel Dean should be way lower. His road to the Final 3 is very sloppy. He is in the minority all of the premerge and he only gets saved by Kellee due to a mutual friend they had before the game. Then, he immediately votes Kellee off 2 days later, which is just a terrible move in my opinion. At Final 8, he once again makes a terrible decision. He finds a string of advantages and immunities that are never played only because everyone wanted to take him to F3 so they could beat him. I also think he was very delusional about his game the whole time (calling himself a strong physical player, not thinking he's a goat, etc.)Post season AMA's have confirmed that Dean loses to both Noura and Karishma. 31. Chrissy Hofbeck While I am a Chrissy fan, and i wouldnt really rank her in my Top 15, I think she should be a bit higher. I know many fans believe she wouldn't have won without the FMC anyways, i'm not entirely sure that's true. Devon was a great player, but that's what we saw. From what I've heard the jury thought Devon was pretty clueless and didn't do much throughout the game. I do agree that Chrissy never gets votes from Cole & Desi, but she definitely has a shot with JP, Lauren and even Ben perhaps. Also her winning 4 immunity challenges is just extremely impressive in my opinion. 28. Tasha Fox 19. Spencer Bledsoe I feel like Cambodia is a season edited in a way where everyone seems like such a strong player, due to it being an all returnee season but I think there's a deeper reason Jeremy won UNANIMOUSLY. Tasha and Spencer have no chance at winning in ANY F3 combination of the Final 6 in Cambodia, they lose to Jeremy, Kelley, Kimmi and Keith. I think they are both decently flawed and should be considerably lower as they were never really winning. 22. Dawn Meehan Here's the thing with Dawn. I think Dawn had more control than Cochran and that's essentially the reason she lost. It HURT more to be voted out by Dawn than it did Cochran, because Dawn made better relationships, while the friends Cochran had, he came into the game with. Dawn was a very strong player and I don't really feel like there's anything she could have done differently. She saw that being loyal didnt work in SoPa, changed it up and it ended up not working. I'd put her higher. 18. Amanda Kimmel Obviously you have her decently high, but I think she should be even higher. I think people underestimate how great of a player and legend Amanda is. Just to shed some light on some of the records Amanda holds: - First person to make FTC twice - First person to make it to 100 days - First woman to find an idol - First woman to correctly play an idol - Longest # of days gone without being voted out (108) - Longest time gone before receiving a vote that counts (91) And I know not all of these apply to her game in Micronesia, but Amanda's ability to get into a solid alliance is INSANE. More importantly, I think Amanda being LOYAL in this season really works to her benefit and had Micronesia been a F3 like planned, its VERY plausible she wins against Cirie & Parvati 3-2-2. I think she's very underrated and a huge triple threat. If 100 different survivor players played 100 seasons together with a fresh start every time, I think Amanda wins the most. 17. Parvati Shallow This one is a HUGE shock for me. I have her as the best runner up and there are numerous reasons why. I think the only thing you can really fault her for is her going home at the Tyson vote without an idol, but that situation was UNAVOIDABLE, she had the biggest target on her back in an already stacked group of players. She got Russell to sacrifice being in the majority to help her and roped in Danielle. With the rest of the premerge, you can't really fault her for the Rob, Coach or Courtney votes. Rob & Coach she wanted out and voted with the majority to take them out. You could argue she didn't want Courtney to go, but she made the best move for her game as Courtney would flip much easier than Sandra would. With the double idol play, which is easily one of the best moves of all time in my opinion, her playing 2 idols is much more impressive than 1. There's just so much thinking that goes on in orchestrating that move, it's mindblowing. She knows the heroes won't vote for Russell. This leaves 4 villains. First, she throws the immunity challenge to Danielle. After Amanda tells her to play it for herself, she takes the huge gamble on saving EVERY OTHER option EXCEPT herself. Why her playing 2 idols is better than 1 in my opinion is, if there is the off chance that the heroes DO vote for Parvati, Danielle has immunity she's safe, Jerri and Sandra are both safe, so in the rock draw the only vulnerable villain is Russell while there are 4 vulnerable heroes. The next 2 votes are pretty straightforward, but when it comes to the Danielle vote, it was revealed that the vote actually changed BACK to Danielle AT tribal council when she had a mental breakdown, which Parvati could do nothing about. It wasnt due to trust issues between Russell and Parvati. From here on out she wins 2 immunity challenges and makes Final 3. The biggest issue with Sandra's win in my opinion is that Parvati did nothing WRONG. Her situation was completely unavoidable. Parvati got all the villain votes besides Courtney, who liked and respected her. The heroes were targeting Parv BEFORE the swap and would barely speak to her. Amanda was bitter about losing to Parvati in Micronesia, so there was no chance at that vote and Candice and Sandra were NEIGHBOURS pre H vs V in Fayetteville. Rupert played with Sandra and would obviously vote for her. Post H vs V, Candice, JT and Colby have all said they would vote Parvati and I think all of these points should merit her at least as a Top 10 Runner Up. I think it's completely RIDICULOUS to have players like Russell (who she outperformed), Sash, Chase, Albert and Ryan ahead of her. (None of those players Id actually put in my Top 20 either, except Chase). 16. Albert Bledsoe 15. Sash Lenaham 14. Ryan Ulrich All players that got completely OWNED by the jury and were considered JOKES. No chance at winning in the combinations they were in. NO way I’d have them higher than legends like Amanda and Parvati. 11. Russell Hantz 2.0 Very impressive strategic game, but there is no combination he wins in EVER, even against Sugar & Candice. Also he accomplishes none of what he did had Samoa been seen by the players. Other than that, I think the list is pretty accurate. I'd definitely have Rob and Fishback both a bit lower, but still in the Top 10. I really appreciate the analysis, this video was AWESOME, i've never seen a channel that is so COMMITTED. I hope you can (hopefully at least briefly) regard some of the people I mentioned in my comment LOL but i'd understand if not! Hope to see some more WAW content :)

Challenges and Immunity Idols when you need them are crucial part of Survivor. Some winner or runner-ups couldn't make it as far as they gotten without something to help them. Yes, it would be more reasonable to vote someone who used social skills and strategy and manipulation compared to wins-out and idol players, but just because they have the bad traits doesn't make them an automatic bad player.
missy is way too high. everyone on the jury except for her daughter hated her and she loses to everyone on the jury, even wes and alec. remember reed’s wicked stepmother speech and how everyone on the jury agreed with him?
P3t3r - the point of the game is to get the people of the jury to vote for you in the end, not just be in the majority the entire game. you’re dealing with people and if you treat them badly, you’re not gonna win. i feel like jury management often gets forgotten in the grand scheme of things and i think players like russell in hvv should be lower because there is nobody on that jury he wins againsy
I think missy showed really impressive social maneuvering and is probably considered an incredibly strong player BUT her biggest flaw was her parental preference towards baylor who everybody else hated. Had missy been cast on a non-bvw season I think she has super high winner upside
While I agree her jury management was terrible, she really was one of the best players that season. Aside from Natalie, Jeremy, Josh, and possibly Jon she was more dominant than everyone. She may not win in the end but she was a great player nonetheless.
Jay King it was later revealed that parvati was fully intending on only using one idol on sandra, but russell knew it was going to be jerri because of talking to amanda and seeing through her, so he told parvati to play it on jerri. parvati had no idea what was going on, so she just played both idols

Michael Revere did u watch the season? the whole point of not telling russell about the idol was so that danielle could feel closer to her than with russell. which was in fact a great move on parvati's part. also, if russell was so great with idols, then why tf did he waste one? huh

It's really unfair for you to instantly degrade a person's game because they won challenges or played idols. Is that not part of the game? If winning immunities hurts your game, then why even have them there at all? Yeah, maybe someone like Ozzy who doesn't have much game sense but can win tons of immunities shouldn't win. But if someone can win 5 immunities as well as run the game, then hell yeah I feel like they deserve to win. It just seems like you instantly hate on someone for winning immunities and completely disregard the other aspects of their game. I appreciate your dedication to making these videos but I think you're a little too judgemental of a very key part of the game.
MistaUnicorn I’ve noticed that about most Survivor fans the more I watch videos on them. They completely disregard being good at challenges and grinding to find idols like it’s not impressive at all. I completely agree it’s part of the game for a reason and shouldn’t be downplayed as much as it is. They act like anyone can do it when clearly that’s not the case.
Bryan Morales It’s the least impressive part of the three facets of the game. Social and strategic players win the day more often than physical players. The most famous physical players like Tom Westman for example were also strong socially and physically

But, to say that winning immunities instantly hurts your game is very unfair. If someone can win immunities as well as play a social and strategical game on top of that, then why shouldn't they be allowed to win. I entirely agree with you that physical players are much less interesting and entertaining than social and strategic players. But this video is basically just instantly negating everything a player did in the game if they won any immunities. It's possible to win immunity and still have a game to back you up. It's fine if people wanna think that way, I just think it's very short-sided and not fair to the players.

I disagreed with a decent amount of this but it was really fun and I’m sure took a lot of time and thought so thanks for doing this! I just don’t understand the logic of needing idols and winning immunities as bad gameplay. If you’re playing an idol to save yourself it’s most likely because you’re playing a good enough game that people want you out. Finding idols and winning immunity is part of the outplay part of the game. Not everyone, especially in returnee seasons and unbalanced tribe swaps, can just rely on social bonds or dominant leading the pack type of gameplay if you don’t have the numbers. Some of the best gameplay and players come from moments when people flipped the game from the bottom. That’s just as good gameplay to me as someone who managed to be in a majority alliance the whole game. This idea that using idols and winning immunity and managing to get to the end when you were once completely outnumbered is all bad gameplay is crazy to me. It’s expecting perfection and basically saying the only people who are good at the game are people like Rob and Kim who dominated from the jump and were never in fear of being voted out because they played with lesser players or players like Michelle who were good socially but were never in fear of being voted out because no one saw them as a threat or in control. It’s outwit outplay outlast. Competition and strategy and playing from the bottom and still making it to the end are all good things, not bad lol maybe I’m in the minority on this idk

Tbh if Phillip had claimed he pretended to be a goat to get bye it might’ve worked but he continued to be a goat in finals. All he had to say to do well was “I was in the bottom 2 at my original tribe so I had to do something to survive and pretended to be annoying and awful for Rob to try and take me to the end as a goat. Damn this is crazy I remember what I was doing the first time I watched this video the day after it came out. (Usually I watched the videos the same day they came out but for this one, I caught it a day late) I remember this shit was a new gen video when it came out and the old gen videos were the winner rankings and season rankings videos. Ahhh how time flies, it’s been almost 4 1/2 years. These videos actually mean a lot to me. I remember what I was doing the first time I was watching them and going on marathons replaying them. Watching legends seasons casting in the car rides downtown early in the morning going to the skatepark. Listening to it at school during gym while walking or playing clash Royale. Listening to rivals rankings while playing Minecraft in my crazy survival world. I used to worship these videos, I always had them on. Melanin review is my favorite Survivor youtube channel and I’ll stand on that till I die. I’m TMR’s number 1 fan. I was 12 when I found out abt this dude and now I’m going to be 17. I always watch when Meranjan review posts a new survivor, bb, and bbcan video, even if im not in my crazy obsessed survivor and bb phase. I don’t consistently do that with other channels. You put Becky 23 because if it had been a final 2 she would have 4 votes, almost winning...but under that reasoning, Ozzy would have won, so putting him 29th, 6places below Becky....there is some flaw there.

Why is Parvati lower than the rest of those people if it wasn’t for her the villains wouldn’t have gained control because if she didn’t save Jerry there would’ve been a tie and Sandra would’ve most likely flipped.
mostly correct BUT Sandra actually didn't flip because of Russell, not Parv. Sandra did want to flip at Final 9 but Russell simultaneously convinced Candice to flip - so Sandra backed out of it. Russell played a terrible social game but this was a great move.
Based on this you could argue that she would have been gone pre merge if Russell didn't make the ballsy move with his idol to save her in the Tyson vote
Noah Nussbaum That still knocks against your social game/control over the game, since they are tools for you to become better positioned. but if you don’t use them to do that, you deserve to be lower. Same thing with a goat dragged to the end. They could’ve made moves but they didn’t.
I would love to see some of these people back: Colby, Twila, Katie, Stephanie, Ozzy, Dreamz, Courtney Yates, Phillip, Gervase, Missy (Wicked Stepmother), Woo, Spencer, Tai, Aubry, Hannah, Dom, Laura Johnson, Gavin, and Noura in one season! It would be epic to see these people play together!

While I appreciate the work you put into this and other rankings, I think that how you conceptualize what makes a good winner/runner-up/player is flawed. You champion only power/strategy over other needed/successful components (i.e., social game, the ability to manage under the radar), and in so doing you are championing the tactics most available to men on Survivor - this ranking speaks to that, with the vast majority of "elite" runner-ups being men, even men with extremely flawed social games. The truth is, if many women played in an aggressive/dominant/powerful way, they would often be taken out much earlier; this gets even messier when we add in other factors like race and age. The truth is, one does not NEED to be dominant/aggressive/powerful to be a good player. As an example, I urge you to tell me something that Danni Boatwright actually did WRONG in her Guatemala game? Any time she did was on the bottom it was circumstantial, and largely not her own fault. And she played a massively impressive game from an underdog perspective - but because she wasn't dominant and circumstantially in control, she's not a great winner? That feels problematic. The idea that so many men with social games that are extremely flawed are outranking (on several ranking videos) women, who simply didn't play a dominant/powerful/big movez-based games is troubling.

It's the concept that a truly good player can dictate the pace of the game by using their social game to gain a majority and then enact their strategies that most benefit them. Danni did play an impressive game, and he points it out when he talks about her. BUT you can't rank her higher than someone like Rob or Kim because she didn't really have much control, and inarguably the best of the best are able to control votes. Also, saying only men dominate utter bullcrap. I can name so many women who dominated their season and won or almost won. Kim, Cirie (many times), Sarah (many times), parvati(many times), Amanda, Natalie Anderson, Aubrey, shall I continue?
I am confused as to how Ryan wins and is ranked so high. He still only received one vote and that was Devon. I think it is close between him and Chrissy but Chrissy wins
I don't see how Amanda would have a shot in a F2 with Cirie, particularly if we are assuming she cuts Parvati to take Cirie. Alexis, Erik, Eliza of course vote Cirie, they are the votes that allegedly give Cirie the win in the planned F3. I think Natalie is a lock to vote Cirie over Amanda. That is already 4 of 8 votes. However if Amanda cuts Parvati, she 100% loses her vote to Cirie now too. If Cirie cuts Parvati, then Parvati probably votes Amanda. Jason could go either way yes, but Cirie has probably already won as we speak. Ozzy obviously votes Amanda, and I would guess James probably does.

Phillip does win a Final 2 over Natalie, not vice versa. That is obvious by the Ponderosa videos. Both are goats, but people look at Phillip as their last ditch, last resort option to bitter vote for the win over Rob, if he owns his game. The entire jury thought Natalie was a joke.
@@itzwakk335 Agreed. Either way I can't see anyone in the cast losing to Natalie, not even Phillip. And a Final 2 with Phillip is the only scenario she might even get 2 or 3 votes. Any Final 3 or any other Final 2 and the only vote she might ever get is Rob, and even that is iffy since Rob said in an interview I heard soon after the show he would have rarely voted Natalie since he knew she was a weak player, and she would have had to be the one to mastermind his boot (not just go along with one of the secondary power players like Grant, Andrea, or Matt setting it up) to get his vote. But Rob is literally the only one who would even consider it ever, everyone else never votes her. Not even Ashley, who was the only one besides Rob who somewhat liked Natalie, as she shat all over Natalie's game at the Reunion and post show interviews. Ashley probably votes her in a Final 2 with Phillip only since she hates him so much, and Phillip would be too proud to grovel for Ashley's vote at FTC, but that is it.
Why do you criticize people that played idols correctly? Or won immunity? Isn’t that part of the game? And also why do you criticize them if they were not in the majority most of the game is they made it to the end that’s more impressive than a person who was carried there.
Exactly. I actually find players like Ozzy way more impressive and deserving of a win than people who were just dragged to the final three because they happened to be in the majority. Winning challenges and finding idols is part of the game and is part of what makes survuvor so unique. in my opinion anyone who is able to dominate in that aspect of the game is just as deserving of the win than someone with a respectable social game.
@@mreurodude1 well this game IS a social experiment and the social game is the biggest part of survivor. plus you cant always rely on immunity. you CAN rely on a good social game. edit: i meant with the not being able to rely on immunity. i meant like you could lose after winning like 3 immunities in a row. its not a guarentee you will have it.
I don't think the issue is with playing idols, it's more being forced to save yourself using advantages or immunity instead of naturally saving yourself by moving the votes off of yourself. Like, for example, the first two merge rounds of Samoa. In the merge round, Natalie and Jaison come up with a plan that doesn't involve any idols, and just makes it so that the Galus vote out one of their own so all the Foa Foa people can survive another day. Natalie successfully pulls this off and gets most of Galu to vote out Erik. In the next round, none of Foa Foa can move the votes, so Russell HAS to play the idol, otherwise he goes home, and it is only through the idol he survives. The difference here is that Natalie and Jaison didn't need to win or find anything for their plan to work. The next round, they NEEDED the advantage to stay. Now, an example of immunity that is seen as dominant would be Cirie and Natalie convincing Erik to give Natalie the necklace. Natalie 100% goes home if she doesn't get the necklace there, but that's only due to Erik having immunity. Since Erik gives up immunity to Natalie after she and Cirie convince Erik to give it to her for "loyalty", Erik himself goes home instead, as he was the initial target before he won immunity. Since that was the two women manipulating the situation, and Natalie was only put in danger due to Erik's immunity win, that is a scenario where it doesn't hurt as much. I think that's what he's trying to say.
Jordan Berchtold Yeah it’s part of the game, but he had to do that instead of position himself better. Becky even would’ve tied with Ozzy in a 4, 4 vote in the end if it was final 2. Ozzy really had no power in the game

Russell was without a doubt the best player to never win this game until Dom pulled off what he managed. Taking Jayson to the finale in Samoa was the most risky option. He knew Mick and Nat, a failed leader and dumb blonde, were not as smart as Jayson, a LAW STUDENT. His whole education is focussed on learning to convince, negotiate, organize, and argue. He knows how to advocate for himself. It was simply Erik's speech which showed he knew just as little of what happened that season as Shi Ann knew in All-Stars if not more.
Great clip, and hard to argue with any of that. I was hoping Samoa-Russell would be higher than 7th, but I like your comments that his social game in that season was quite reasonable. Stunned that Sophie beat Coach, as based on the editing I expected her to get no votes at all!

Talking real life outside of Survivor, Colby deserves more credit. He made the good guy decision for a 50/50 shot on the show, but that got him many more post-Survivor opportunities than he would have gotten had he brought Keith to the final 2. He was gambling on his future and seems to have made the right decision.
Yh I always think about this but his decision to do that was because of Richard hatch and how a lot of people didn’t like that he won survivor because he came off arrogant. He was definitely thinking past the game and it did pay off for him

So many awful about these rankings but worst of all is how the fuck do you have Natalie T ahead of 10 people. And what a pointless point to build her up "she probably wins a final 2 vs phillip." Umm only 1 of the last 22 seasons had a Final 2 and it was one with excessive weather delays, so it was always a Final 3, and there isn't a Final 3 out of the whole cast Natalie T has a shot to win. Natalie and Phillip hate each other anyway so would never bring each other, they would bring whoever the 3rd person is, no matter who it is, and lose to them.

I think on Redemption Island, Grant was more of a second in command to boston rob, the only reason he left was because Ashley got immunity and it was him or one of Rob's goats.
Boston Rob is the only player in the history of the show to completely control two entire seasons from start to finish. And he dominated both of them in EVERY way. Strategically, socially and physically. That's why he's the GOAT.
I have to disagree, because by the time merge hit in AS, he was slowly putting himself into a position where he had no winnable scenario by the time the final 5 came around due to how poorly he handled the social part of Survivor, either by making unnecessary deals that he just ended up breaking, as is the case for the final 10 deal he made with Alicia, which he never really had any intention of keeping, and all that accomplished was to put an extremely pissed off Alicia on the jury, and then there's the constant need to openly trash talk others, because no one likes to be told how much smarter than them you think you are, so if people weren't already anti Rob before, they would be once they got to jury and compared notes on what Rob was saying about them. To his credit, he got better at that once RI came around and changed up his game enough to where he actually could win a jury vote

She doesn't get a single jury vote in any Final 3 out of the entire cast, and probably even loses a Final 2 to *drumrolls* Phillip. In a Final 3 of Natalie-Phillip-any of Grant/Ashley/Mike/Matt/Andrea/whoever Natalie gets 0 votes. In a Final 2 vs Phillip, Phillip wins something like 6-3. She is way overranked on this list and should be last. In addition to being the biggest jury goat in Survivor history, she did nothing in the game too.

I think Dawn and Cochran even admited if Eddie won final immunity they target each other over Sherri. And her case it is more impressive since she was a Fan vs the majority Favorites, despite being a goat. And Natalie T is an even bigger goat than Sherri. Sherri atleast in a F3 with Eddie and Dawn or Erik and Dawn probably gets 2 votes from Snow and Phillip, unless they see splitting votes could help Dawn win and both vote Erik/Eddie instead. Natalie T gets 0 votes in any Final 3, she needs a Final 2 vs Phillip to even gets votes (still loses mind you).
Winning immunities and playing idols is a part of the game lol. When your back is against the wall (which it is bound to be at some point in the 39 days) playing an idol especially takes both outplay and outwit. First finding the idol (unless it’s given to you from extinction) takes an outplay aspect of actually going and looking/finding the idol. Then knowing when to use it is part of the social game with reading people. Might as well not even have challenges and just vote people out. Also having Parvati below Sash, Ryan, and Albert is absurd. Those 3 were all people that were disliked by just about everybody. They received 1 vote combined. Never had any chance to win the game. Even said Sash was NEVER winning the game. Then how tf is he the 15th best runner up. Parvati is easily top 10 and those 3 are bottom 15 easily. Missy is also way too high. Everyone besides her daughter hated her. Basically you’re disregarding social game and challenges so what is left? lol list doesn’t make much sense at some points but i appreciate you taking the time to put it together
Jury management doesn’t matter in this vid because he is the jury and he’s ranking them on how he’d vote. Also how’s he disregarding social game you’re completely mixing that up with jury management they’re 2 entirely different aspects of the game
One thing I’ve noticed about his lists is that he knocks down players on what-if scenarios. “Oh if he didn’t win immunity he would be gone” Is not a very good argument when the physical aspect is one third of the game. Overall, all of his lists are nonsense and unpopular. A part of me believes he’s doing this on purpose to garner comments which helps the UA-cam algorithm.
I feel like you underrated Dean. He played a great game. Even though he wasn’t in the majority he was able to not get voted out. The same goes for a bunch of winners who I think Dean played better games then.
In retrospect, I think she probably should have been a tier or two higher, closer to where I put Carolyn, but at the time that I made the video, I was just really down on the fact that she doesn't win in any jury scenario, but now that I think about it there are some people higher on the list that do have that same problem.

I would rank Wiglesworth much higher. She may have been apart of the major alliance for most of the game but she did break away and win her way to the 2nd spot. She would have been behind Sue and Rudy sitting beside Richard without her breaking from the group. I would have put Phillip at the bottom primarily because he played the game twice and basically played the same clueless game being carried along because of his headdress and strange antics not by any intentional actions.
I mean, Rich goes home at 4 if Kelly doesn't leave, then Kelly probably wins final immunity and sends Rich home. I'm not sure who wins in a Sue and Kelly final 2 though, but it's much closer than what actually happened where she actively irritates Sue (Which, ironically, actually gets her Colleen and Gervase's votes, as they felt sorry for her, and knew she was losing anyways 'cause the rest of the jury was still going to vote for Rich like all 6 of them planned to before FTC.)
I understand winning immunity to get to the end is not a great social game, but that doesn't mean it's not a good game in general. Competitions are a part of survivor for a reason, just like idols, just like votes, just like alliances, they each represent a different aspect of the game. Physical aspect, strategic aspect, social aspect etc. Someone excelling in the physical aspect does not make them a bad player.I really don't know how that analogy even came to be, would you rather them not win and get voted out? Like would that make them a better player? Survivor has an element of luck. If you are unlucky, and are at the bottom of the majority, winning challenges is one of your only plays. Nothing wrong with that.
this is a misconception i see with a lot o his videos, he's not denigrating being good at achallenges, it's relying on them as your sole means of survival in the game, it's not as good to win out because challenges are luck based, they are meant to be luck based

troy froman it’s been confirmed that he gets beat by Noura, so that means he loses to everyone In the final 8 except Karishma and Dan. He decided to eliminate Karishma which is a terrible decision. Dean is one of the worst players of that season
Kelly Wigglesworth had to win immunities or she would be gone (The Tagi alliance considered to keep Colleen if Kelly had lost, her social standing was that bad) and she was lucky to have Sue to do the Rats and Snakes speech because otherwise, Rich would have won by 5 votes since Colleen and Gervase decided to vote for Kelly due to solidarity to Sue's speech being too abrasive.
You should do the same thing but with whoever was voted off on day 38, that would be interesting to watch you rank a lot of the challenge-winning immunity idol-finding underdogs.
What bothers me so much about Ken McNickle is that he won individual immunity 4 times and refused to ever make a play (until he voted David to avoid looking like a Woo)

Holy shit how does one put ozzy at 29 hes easily a top 15 or maybe a top 10. I think the physical aspect of the game is seriously underated because if he didn't win immunity especially at that final 4 there's a good chance he wouldn't have made it to the end also he is probably the best player when it comes to actually surviving
I don’t disagree with a lot of the criticisms I’ve seen in the comments but this reminds me of the bashing I got on reddit when I posted my rankings. It’s really difficult to rank players in a game like Survivor. It’s not like a sport like basketball where there’s clearer parameters for what makes a great player. Everyone has a different definition of what makes the best Survivor player. I think these sorts of rankings are great for inspiring discussion and debate which most people here are doing respectfully but if you’re just outright bashing everything despite his explanations maybe you should try making your own ranking
The fact that Parvati is so low IS CRIMINAL. And the way he is speaking about idols and immunities is also irritating, I mean I get playing a lot of idols or winning every challenge to stay in game could mean a flawed gameplay. But not if you do it once or twice, which was the case with a lot of players here.

I dont think winning out makes you worse. I think it makes you better because if you can dominate in challenges(which is a major pary of the game) you can play a dominant game without being voted out for being a threat

It's not the fact they won out, it's the fact they would have gone home had they not won out. Kelly was on the chopping block for conspiring against the alliance, they wanted her out, but she won challenges to keep her in. That's not a dominant game, that was squeezing by.
Completely agree, winning immunity and finding idols is part of the game. Social and physical are important factors, not just social.

I don't like Coach. But that speech that he gave Cochran to get him to flip about how he knew what it felt like to be bullied and knew Cochran was being bullied was very impressive social awareness and showed a delicate touch that I didn't think Coach possessed. Impressive move.

I really like the analysis overall but there are definitely some rankings I disagree with.
62. Kelly Wigglesworth
As flawed as Kelly's game was in the sense that she "won out", this was the very first season. I think immunity wins were more respected than ever in the very early seasons as the show was branded as more of a "survival" esque show. Not to mention, she came 1 vote away from being the first ever winner, and I know you have Richard considerably high on your winners rankings. I think she's nowhere near the 2nd worst runner up of all time.
58. Ken McNickle
As much as I think Ken is a bit overrated, I don't think he should be this low because he did play a decent social game. He was able to form strong relationships with people like Hannah, David, Jessica and Will and if he does win the season, those are very good points that lead to him being a good winner. I'm not a fan of the F3 of S33 but I do think he should be a bit higher.
47. Jaclyn Shultz
I honestly feel like Jaclyn doesn't get as much credit as she should. Her and Jon were equal decision makers and her game ensured he'd be voted out before her if it came down to it. Not to mention, she was the only woman to never get a vote on her original tribe premerge (which was a trainwreck) and she NEVER ended up getting a vote until Day 35. All the votes she gets on Day 37 are nullified and she then wins Final Immunity. She was also well respected and liked by the jurors.
46. Dean Kowalski
In all honesty, I feel Dean should be way lower. His road to the Final 3 is very sloppy. He is in the minority all of the premerge and he only gets saved by Kellee due to a mutual friend they had before the game. Then, he immediately votes Kellee off 2 days later, which is just a terrible move in my opinion. At Final 8, he once again makes a terrible decision. He finds a string of advantages and immunities that are never played only because everyone wanted to take him to F3 so they could beat him. I also think he was very delusional about his game the whole time (calling himself a strong physical player, not thinking he's a goat, etc.)Post season AMA's have confirmed that Dean loses to both Noura and Karishma.
31. Chrissy Hofbeck
While I am a Chrissy fan, and i wouldnt really rank her in my Top 15, I think she should be a bit higher. I know many fans believe she wouldn't have won without the FMC anyways, i'm not entirely sure that's true. Devon was a great player, but that's what we saw. From what I've heard the jury thought Devon was pretty clueless and didn't do much throughout the game. I do agree that Chrissy never gets votes from Cole & Desi, but she definitely has a shot with JP, Lauren and even Ben perhaps. Also her winning 4 immunity challenges is just extremely impressive in my opinion.
28. Tasha Fox

I feel like Cambodia is a season edited in a way where everyone seems like such a strong player, due to it being an all returnee season but I think there's a deeper reason Jeremy won UNANIMOUSLY. Tasha and Spencer have no chance at winning in ANY F3 combination of the Final 6 in Cambodia, they lose to Jeremy, Kelley, Kimmi and Keith. I think they are both decently flawed and should be considerably lower as they were never really winning.
22. Dawn Meehan
Here's the thing with Dawn. I think Dawn had more control than Cochran and that's essentially the reason she lost. It HURT more to be voted out by Dawn than it did Cochran, because Dawn made better relationships, while the friends Cochran had, he came into the game with. Dawn was a very strong player and I don't really feel like there's anything she could have done differently. She saw that being loyal didnt work in SoPa, changed it up and it ended up not working. I'd put her higher.
18. Amanda Kimmel
Obviously you have her decently high, but I think she should be even higher. I think people underestimate how great of a player and legend Amanda is. Just to shed some light on some of the records Amanda holds:
- First person to make FTC twice
- First person to make it to 100 days
- First woman to find an idol
- First woman to correctly play an idol
- Longest # of days gone without being voted out (108)
- Longest time gone before receiving a vote that counts (91)
And I know not all of these apply to her game in Micronesia, but Amanda's ability to get into a solid alliance is INSANE. More importantly, I think Amanda being LOYAL in this season really works to her benefit and had Micronesia been a F3 like planned, its VERY plausible she wins against Cirie & Parvati 3-2-2. I think she's very underrated and a huge triple threat. If 100 different survivor players played 100 seasons together with a fresh start every time, I think Amanda wins the most.
17. Parvati Shallow
This one is a HUGE shock for me. I have her as the best runner up and there are numerous reasons why. I think the only thing you can really fault her for is her going home at the Tyson vote without an idol, but that situation was UNAVOIDABLE, she had the biggest target on her back in an already stacked group of players. She got Russell to sacrifice being in the majority to help her and roped in Danielle. With the rest of the premerge, you can't really fault her for the Rob, Coach or Courtney votes. Rob & Coach she wanted out and voted with the majority to take them out. You could argue she didn't want Courtney to go, but she made the best move for her game as Courtney would flip much easier than Sandra would. With the double idol play, which is easily one of the best moves of all time in my opinion, her playing 2 idols is much more impressive than 1. There's just so much thinking that goes on in orchestrating that move, it's mindblowing. She knows the heroes won't vote for Russell. This leaves 4 villains. First, she throws the immunity challenge to Danielle. After Amanda tells her to play it for herself, she takes the huge gamble on saving EVERY OTHER option EXCEPT herself. Why her playing 2 idols is better than 1 in my opinion is, if there is the off chance that the heroes DO vote for Parvati, Danielle has immunity she's safe, Jerri and Sandra are both safe, so in the rock draw the only vulnerable villain is Russell while there are 4 vulnerable heroes. The next 2 votes are pretty straightforward, but when it comes to the Danielle vote, it was revealed that the vote actually changed BACK to Danielle AT tribal council when she had a mental breakdown, which Parvati could do nothing about. It wasnt due to trust issues between Russell and Parvati. From here on out she wins 2 immunity challenges and makes Final 3. The biggest issue with Sandra's win in my opinion is that Parvati did nothing WRONG. Her situation was completely unavoidable. Parvati got all the villain votes besides Courtney, who liked and respected her. The heroes were targeting Parv BEFORE the swap and would barely speak to her. Amanda was bitter about losing to Parvati in Micronesia, so there was no chance at that vote and Candice and Sandra were NEIGHBOURS pre H vs V in Fayetteville. Rupert played with Sandra and would obviously vote for her. Post H vs V, Candice, JT and Colby have all said they would vote Parvati and I think all of these points should merit her at least as a Top 10 Runner Up. I think it's completely RIDICULOUS to have players like Russell (who she outperformed), Sash, Chase, Albert and Ryan ahead of her. (None of those players Id actually put in my Top 20 either, except Chase).

Very impressive strategic game, but there is no combination he wins in EVER, even against Sugar & Candice. Also he accomplishes none of what he did had Samoa been seen by the players.
Other than that, I think the list is pretty accurate. I'd definitely have Rob and Fishback both a bit lower, but still in the Top 10.
I really appreciate the analysis, this video was AWESOME, i've never seen a channel that is so COMMITTED. I hope you can (hopefully at least briefly) regard some of the people I mentioned in my comment LOL but i'd understand if not! Hope to see some more WAW content :)

Challenges and Immunity Idols when you need them are crucial part of Survivor. Some winner or runner-ups couldn't make it as far as they gotten without something to help them. Yes, it would be more reasonable to vote someone who used social skills and strategy and manipulation compared to wins-out and idol players, but just because they have the bad traits doesn't make them an automatic bad player.

I think missy showed really impressive social maneuvering and is probably considered an incredibly strong player BUT her biggest flaw was her parental preference towards baylor who everybody else hated. Had missy been cast on a non-bvw season I think she has super high winner upside
While I agree her jury management was terrible, she really was one of the best players that season. Aside from Natalie, Jeremy, Josh, and possibly Jon she was more dominant than everyone. She may not win in the end but she was a great player nonetheless.
Had Natalie gone at the final four then Missy would've had three locked votes at the FTC. She could've potentially gotten two others as well.

It's really unfair for you to instantly degrade a person's game because they won challenges or played idols. Is that not part of the game? If winning immunities hurts your game, then why even have them there at all? Yeah, maybe someone like Ozzy who doesn't have much game sense but can win tons of immunities shouldn't win. But if someone can win 5 immunities as well as run the game, then hell yeah I feel like they deserve to win. It just seems like you instantly hate on someone for winning immunities and completely disregard the other aspects of their game. I appreciate your dedication to making these videos but I think you're a little too judgemental of a very key part of the game.
MistaUnicorn I’ve noticed that about most Survivor fans the more I watch videos on them. They completely disregard being good at challenges and grinding to find idols like it’s not impressive at all. I completely agree it’s part of the game for a reason and shouldn’t be downplayed as much as it is. They act like anyone can do it when clearly that’s not the case.
Bryan Morales It’s the least impressive part of the three facets of the game. Social and strategic players win the day more often than physical players. The most famous physical players like Tom Westman for example were also strong socially and physically

But, to say that winning immunities instantly hurts your game is very unfair. If someone can win immunities as well as play a social and strategical game on top of that, then why shouldn't they be allowed to win.
I entirely agree with you that physical players are much less interesting and entertaining than social and strategic players. But this video is basically just instantly negating everything a player did in the game if they won any immunities. It's possible to win immunity and still have a game to back you up. It's fine if people wanna think that way, I just think it's very short-sided and not fair to the players.

I disagreed with a decent amount of this but it was really fun and I’m sure took a lot of time and thought so thanks for doing this! I just don’t understand the logic of needing idols and winning immunities as bad gameplay. If you’re playing an idol to save yourself it’s most likely because you’re playing a good enough game that people want you out. Finding idols and winning immunity is part of the outplay part of the game. Not everyone, especially in returnee seasons and unbalanced tribe swaps, can just rely on social bonds or dominant leading the pack type of gameplay if you don’t have the numbers. Some of the best gameplay and players come from moments when people flipped the game from the bottom. That’s just as good gameplay to me as someone who managed to be in a majority alliance the whole game. This idea that using idols and winning immunity and managing to get to the end when you were once completely outnumbered is all bad gameplay is crazy to me. It’s expecting perfection and basically saying the only people who are good at the game are people like Rob and Kim who dominated from the jump and were never in fear of being voted out because they played with lesser players or players like Michelle who were good socially but were never in fear of being voted out because no one saw them as a threat or in control. It’s outwit outplay outlast. Competition and strategy and playing from the bottom and still making it to the end are all good things, not bad lol maybe I’m in the minority on this idk

Damn this is crazy I remember what I was doing the first time I watched this video the day after it came out. (Usually I watched the videos the same day they came out but for this one, I caught it a day late) I remember this shit was a new gen video when it came out and the old gen videos were the winner rankings and season rankings videos. Ahhh how time flies, it’s been almost 4 1/2 years. These videos actually mean a lot to me. I remember what I was doing the first time I was watching them and going on marathons replaying them. Watching legends seasons casting in the car rides downtown early in the morning going to the skatepark. Listening to it at school during gym while walking or playing clash Royale. Listening to rivals rankings while playing Minecraft in my crazy survival world. I used to worship these videos, I always had them on. Melanin review is my favorite Survivor youtube channel and I’ll stand on that till I die. I’m TMR’s number 1 fan. I was 12 when I found out abt this dude and now I’m going to be 17. I always watch when Meranjan review posts a new survivor, bb, and bbcan video, even if im not in my crazy obsessed survivor and bb phase. I don’t consistently do that with other channels. That still knocks against your social game/control over the game, since they are tools for you to become better positioned. but if you don’t use them to do that, you deserve to be lower. Same thing with a goat dragged to the end. They could’ve made moves but they didn’t.
Setting yourself UP to win immunites against weaker players is fine. Reliance of immunity wins is definitely a knock though.
I would love to see some of these people back: Colby, Twila, Katie, Stephanie, Ozzy, Dreamz, Courtney Yates, Phillip, Gervase, Missy (Wicked Stepmother), Woo, Spencer, Tai, Aubry, Hannah, Dom, Laura Johnson, Gavin, and Noura in one season! It would be epic to see these people play together!

While I appreciate the work you put into this and other rankings, I think that how you conceptualize what makes a good winner/runner-up/player is flawed. You champion only power/strategy over other needed/successful components (i.e., social game, the ability to manage under the radar), and in so doing you are championing the tactics most available to men on Survivor - this ranking speaks to that, with the vast majority of "elite" runner-ups being men, even men with extremely flawed social games. The truth is, if many women played in an aggressive/dominant/powerful way, they would often be taken out much earlier; this gets even messier when we add in other factors like race and age. The truth is, one does not NEED to be dominant/aggressive/powerful to be a good player. As an example, I urge you to tell me something that Danni Boatwright actually did WRONG in her Guatemala game? Any time she did was on the bottom it was circumstantial, and largely not her own fault. And she played a massively impressive game from an underdog perspective - but because she wasn't dominant and circumstantially in control, she's not a great winner? That feels problematic. The idea that so many men with social games that are extremely flawed are outranking (on several ranking videos) women, who simply didn't play a dominant/powerful/big movez-based games is troubling.
This take is SO accurate. Why is someone like a Danni/Natalie W worse than a Rob/Russell/Ben because they were more subtle?

It's the concept that a truly good player can dictate the pace of the game by using their social game to gain a majority and then enact their strategies that most benefit them. Danni did play an impressive game, and he points it out when he talks about her. BUT you can't rank her higher than someone like Rob or Kim because she didn't really have much control, and inarguably the best of the best are able to control votes. Also, saying only men dominate utter bullcrap. I can name so many women who dominated their season and won or almost won. Kim, Cirie (many times), Sarah (many times), parvati(many times), Amanda, Natalie Anderson, Aubrey, shall I continue?

I don't see how Amanda would have a shot in a F2 with Cirie, particularly if we are assuming she cuts Parvati to take Cirie. Alexis, Erik, Eliza of course vote Cirie, they are the votes that allegedly give Cirie the win in the planned F3. I think Natalie is a lock to vote Cirie over Amanda. That is already 4 of 8 votes. However if Amanda cuts Parvati, she 100% loses her vote to Cirie now too. If Cirie cuts Parvati, then Parvati probably votes Amanda. Jason could go either way yes, but Cirie has probably already won as we speak. Ozzy obviously votes Amanda, and I would guess James probably does.

Phillip does win a Final 2 over Natalie, not vice versa. That is obvious by the Ponderosa videos. Both are goats, but people look at Phillip as their last ditch, last resort option to bitter vote for the win over Rob, if he owns his game. The entire jury thought Natalie was a joke.

Any Final 3 or any other Final 2 and the only vote she might ever get is Rob, and even that is iffy since Rob said in an interview I heard soon after the show he would have rarely voted Natalie since he knew she was a weak player, and she would have had to be the one to mastermind his boot (not just go along with one of the secondary power players like Grant, Andrea, or Matt setting it up) to get his vote. But Rob is literally the only one who would even consider it ever, everyone else never votes her. Not even Ashley, who was the only one besides Rob who somewhat liked Natalie, as she shat all over Natalie's game at the Reunion and post show interviews. Ashley probably votes her in a Final 2 with Phillip only since she hates him so much, and Phillip would be too proud to grovel for Ashley's vote at FTC, but that is it.

Exactly. I actually find players like Ozzy way more impressive and deserving of a win than people who were just dragged to the final three because they happened to be in the majority. Winning challenges and finding idols is part of the game and is part of what makes survuvor so unique. in my opinion anyone who is able to dominate in that aspect of the game is just as deserving of the win than someone with a respectable social game.

I don't think the issue is with playing idols, it's more being forced to save yourself using advantages or immunity instead of naturally saving yourself by moving the votes off of yourself.
Like, for example, the first two merge rounds of Samoa. In the merge round, Natalie and Jaison come up with a plan that doesn't involve any idols, and just makes it so that the Galus vote out one of their own so all the Foa Foa people can survive another day. Natalie successfully pulls this off and gets most of Galu to vote out Erik.
In the next round, none of Foa Foa can move the votes, so Russell HAS to play the idol, otherwise he goes home, and it is only through the idol he survives.
The difference here is that Natalie and Jaison didn't need to win or find anything for their plan to work. The next round, they NEEDED the advantage to stay.
Now, an example of immunity that is seen as dominant would be Cirie and Natalie convincing Erik to give Natalie the necklace. Natalie 100% goes home if she doesn't get the necklace there, but that's only due to Erik having immunity. Since Erik gives up immunity to Natalie after she and Cirie convince Erik to give it to her for "loyalty", Erik himself goes home instead, as he was the initial target before he won immunity. Since that was the two women manipulating the situation, and Natalie was only put in danger due to Erik's immunity win, that is a scenario where it doesn't hurt as much.

Taking Jayson to the finale in Samoa was the most risky option. He knew Mick and Nat, a failed leader and dumb blonde, were not as smart as Jayson, a LAW STUDENT. His whole education is focussed on learning to convince, negotiate, organize, and argue. He knows how to advocate for himself. It was simply Erik's speech which showed he knew just as little of what happened that season as Shi Ann knew in All-Stars if not more.

Talking real life outside of Survivor, Colby deserves more credit. He made the good guy decision for a 50/50 shot on the show, but that got him many more post-Survivor opportunities than he would have gotten had he brought Keith to the final 2. He was gambling on his future and seems to have made the right decision.

So many awful about these rankings but worst of all is how the fuck do you have Natalie T ahead of 10 people. And what a pointless point to build her up "she probably wins a final 2 vs phillip." Umm only 1 of the last 22 seasons had a Final 2 and it was one with excessive weather delays, so it was always a Final 3, and there isn't a Final 3 out of the whole cast Natalie T has a shot to win. Natalie and Phillip hate each other anyway so would never bring each other, they would bring whoever the 3rd person is, no matter who it is, and lose to them.

I have to disagree, because by the time merge hit in AS, he was slowly putting himself into a position where he had no winnable scenario by the time the final 5 came around due to how poorly he handled the social part of Survivor, either by making unnecessary deals that he just ended up breaking, as is the case for the final 10 deal he made with Alicia, which he never really had any intention of keeping, and all that accomplished was to put an extremely pissed off Alicia on the jury, and then there's the constant need to openly trash talk others, because no one likes to be told how much smarter than them you think you are, so if people weren't already anti Rob before, they would be once they got to jury and compared notes on what Rob was saying about them. To his credit, he got better at that once RI came around and changed up his game enough to where he actually could win a jury vote

She doesn't get a single jury vote in any Final 3 out of the entire cast, and probably even loses a Final 2 to *drumrolls* Phillip. In a Final 3 of Natalie-Phillip-any of Grant/Ashley/Mike/Matt/Andrea/whoever Natalie gets 0 votes. In a Final 2 vs Phillip, Phillip wins something like 6-3. She is way overranked on this list and should be last. In addition to being the biggest jury goat in Survivor history, she did nothing in the game too.

I think Dawn and Cochran even admited if Eddie won final immunity they target each other over Sherri. And her case it is more impressive since she was a Fan vs the majority Favorites, despite being a goat. And Natalie T is an even bigger goat than Sherri. Sherri atleast in a F3 with Eddie and Dawn or Erik and Dawn probably gets 2 votes from Snow and Phillip, unless they see splitting votes could help Dawn win and both vote Erik/Eddie instead. Natalie T gets 0 votes in any Final 3, she needs a Final 2 vs Phillip to even gets votes (still loses mind you).
Winning immunities and playing idols is a part of the game lol. When your back is against the wall (which it is bound to be at some point in the 39 days) playing an idol especially takes both outplay and outwit. First finding the idol (unless it’s given to you from extinction) takes an outplay aspect of actually going and looking/finding the idol. Then knowing when to use it is part of the social game with reading people.
Might as well not even have challenges and just vote people out.
Also having Parvati below Sash, Ryan, and Albert is absurd. Those 3 were all people that were disliked by just about everybody. They received 1 vote combined. Never had any chance to win the game. Even said Sash was NEVER winning the game. Then how tf is he the 15th best runner up. Parvati is easily top 10 and those 3 are bottom 15 easily. Missy is also way too high. Everyone besides her daughter hated her.

Jury management doesn’t matter in this vid because he is the jury and he’s ranking them on how he’d vote. Also how’s he disregarding social game you’re completely mixing that up with jury management they’re 2 entirely different aspects of the game
One thing I’ve noticed about his lists is that he knocks down players on what-if scenarios. “Oh if he didn’t win immunity he would be gone” Is not a very good argument when the physical aspect is one third of the game.
Overall, all of his lists are nonsense and unpopular. A part of me believes he’s doing this on purpose to garner comments which helps the UA-cam algorithm.
I feel like you underrated Dean. He played a great game. Even though he wasn’t in the majority he was able to not get voted out. The same goes for a bunch of winners who I think Dean played better games then.

Chrissy should be up way higher, but I do agree that Devon would have beaten her too.
In retrospect, I think she probably should have been a tier or two higher, closer to where I put Carolyn, but at the time that I made the video, I was just really down on the fact that she doesn't win in any jury scenario, but now that I think about it there are some people higher on the list that do have that same problem.

Wiggles wins in no scenarios, but Becky has a 5-5 vote in the scenario that should have happened.
While not perfect, I think this list is good for what it is, and this guys can rank players based on whatever criteria he want. Seriously, these comments are crazy, let the guy have him own opinion on the game.

I would rank Wiglesworth much higher. She may have been apart of the major alliance for most of the game but she did break away and win her way to the 2nd spot. She would have been behind Sue and Rudy sitting beside Richard without her breaking from the group. I would have put Phillip at the bottom primarily because he played the game twice and basically played the same clueless game being carried along because of his headdress and strange antics not by any intentional actions.
I mean, Rich goes home at 4 if Kelly doesn't leave, then Kelly probably wins final immunity and sends Rich home. I'm not sure who wins in a Sue and Kelly final 2 though, but it's much closer than what actually happened where she actively irritates Sue (Which, ironically, actually gets her Colleen and Gervase's votes, as they felt sorry for her, and knew she was losing anyways 'cause the rest of the jury was still going to vote for Rich like all 6 of them planned to before FTC.)

I understand winning immunity to get to the end is not a great social game, but that doesn't mean it's not a good game in general. Competitions are a part of survivor for a reason, just like idols, just like votes, just like alliances, they each represent a different aspect of the game. Physical aspect, strategic aspect, social aspect etc. Someone excelling in the physical aspect does not make them a bad player.I really don't know how that analogy even came to be, would you rather them not win and get voted out? Like would that make them a better player? Survivor has an element of luck. If you are unlucky, and are at the bottom of the majority, winning challenges is one of your only plays. Nothing wrong with that.
this is a misconception i see with a lot o his videos, he's not denigrating being good at achallenges, it's relying on them as your sole means of survival in the game, it's not as good to win out because challenges are luck based, they are meant to be luck based

troy froman it’s been confirmed that he gets beat by Noura, so that means he loses to everyone In the final 8 except Karishma and Dan. He decided to eliminate Karishma which is a terrible decision. Dean is one of the worst players of that season

Kelly Wigglesworth had to win immunities or she would be gone (The Tagi alliance considered to keep Colleen if Kelly had lost, her social standing was that bad) and she was lucky to have Sue to do the Rats and Snakes speech because otherwise, Rich would have won by 5 votes since Colleen and Gervase decided to vote for Kelly due to solidarity to Sue's speech being too abrasive.

Only at the Tai placing, but in my opinion, if Michelle doesnt win final immunity, ive always thougt that Cydney wins. I feel Cydney had the respect of people like Scott and Jason. Plus i think her and Aubry both have control over the majority, and she played better socially, which is why people gave Michelle the votes over Aubry

Holy shit how does one put ozzy at 29 hes easily a top 15 or maybe a top 10. I think the physical aspect of the game is seriously underated because if he didn't win immunity especially at that final 4 there's a good chance he wouldn't have made it to the end also he is probably the best player when it comes to actually surviving

I don’t disagree with a lot of the criticisms I’ve seen in the comments but this reminds me of the bashing I got on reddit when I posted my rankings. It’s really difficult to rank players in a game like Survivor. It’s not like a sport like basketball where there’s clearer parameters for what makes a great player. Everyone has a different definition of what makes the best Survivor player. I think these sorts of rankings are great for inspiring discussion and debate which most people here are doing respectfully but if you’re just outright bashing everything despite his explanations maybe you should try making your own ranking

I think it is very flawed to value a goat more than a player who is a threat to win.
The fact that Parvati is so low IS CRIMINAL. And the way he is speaking about idols and immunities is also irritating, I mean I get playing a lot of idols or winning every challenge to stay in game could mean a flawed gameplay. But not if you do it once or twice, which was the case with a lot of players here.
