Zach Johnson, the “Millennial Farmer” is a 5th-generation farmer who’s spent his life growing, working, and learning on his family’s farm. His wit and dry sense of humor appeal to children and adults alike. A product of the millennial generation, his appreciation of new technology blends with his old-fashioned work ethic, and he offers a unique ability to deliver his message in a way that resonates with lifelong farmers as well as those with no knowledge of agriculture. With growing consumer awareness about where their food comes from, Zach has identified the need for an independent voice from the front lines of agriculture. Zach actively promotes agriculture by sharing his day-to-day experiences in the agriculture world while providing farmer-to-farmer education to help facilitate a collaborative conversation between farmers and the public.

"I can hear you can you hear me?"
"Nope"
That is gold. I thought I was the only one who did that.
That's the normal response at my house.
that was subtle and funny as hell
i do that too
Not sure why I laughed so hard at that.
"Are you awake yet?"
"Nope."
Always a great day when you get a notification from him
That’s so true
and sad when the FBN logo comes along….😢

@@MillennialFarmer I think he meant THE FBN logo signals the end of the video...book ending the notification comment of the OP.
@@TheyROutThere that is correct 😂😂 nothing to do with FBN...
Thank you for mentioning Deputy Josh. Owen and I am a good friend of his father. What a shame what a tragedy he was a great kid and fine Deputy
You should stick a air quick connect fitting on the tank with a 1/4 turn valve. That way you air up the truck before you start it cold and can back outside to warm up instead of waiting to build up air. And it lets you drain the water quickly as well.
Exactly what I was going to write!
I traditionally have put a female air quick connect chuck on the truck tank for hooking up air tools, tire inflators, etc, but now that I am at a shop where we have air compressors on the service trucks and in the shop, I do the male fitting and a valve instead, very useful for draining the tank, or filling it up, and then I keep a female to female adaptor to be able to plug a hose in.
Rest In Peace Deputy Owen, thanks for your service to your community
Terrible tragedy.
R.I.P. BROTHER. WE WILL NEVER FORGET!
Being that I am so far away in Pennsylvania from you folks, I had not heard about this tragic loss of Deputy Owen. I pray for his family and his friends for comfort at this time of loss.

Hello, I'm coming at yah from Toronto, Ontario.... Here's a tip for doing a pull-start, (yes a 120psi)
Leave the trailer hooked up (need the weight on the drives of the tractor), sixth gear, key on...And pull, In the Towing business, we call this a dead-pull, it'll start with in the first couple of feet, and if it's freezing out, give'r a shoot of ether.
I'm a CaseIH fan, ..only because my son-in-law is a big shot for them here in Ontario, LOL.
"KEEP IT BETWEEN THE ROWS"..... As a Heavy Wrecker Operator, we say.." SEE YOU IN THE DITCH"
It's amazing how fast the weather can change in the Midwest! Thought for sure you guys were gonna have to plant late, glad to see everything starting to move and good luck this planting season!
Things change SO fast sometimes!
That family SNAP was super cute , made me giggle
I was excited to do that!
I’ve got a bad server in my office and it sounds like my office is on life support!
Hey zack. Replace that shreader valve with a quarter turn ball valve and Air fitting. Then you’ll have a easier more reliable anti smoke valve. I know it don’t smoke but that’s what they call them if you are curious.
I still love watching Zach and his dad working together. Next best thing is to see Onyx out there. He’s the next gen, and he is fully on board with his dad and grandpa.
I really enjoy watching your relationship with your father. The shared respect is impressive
I am so excited for planting season. And yes, I am addicted to MF with the actor that portrays Zach.
Prayers for the gentleman’s family that lost his life🙏🙏. Thanks Zack!!
The weather changed so fast this year. Normally once it starts melting it's at least still froze in the mornings to bring stuff to the yard. didn't happen this year. Once it started melting, it never quit. About 4 hours north of you near Pembina, ND
A proper up bringing!!! Don't ever let it slip away!!! Absolutely beautiful!!
Praying for everyone a good spring planting no big issues especially no breakdowns or bad weather thanks for sharing
I admire a man who knows how to properly take care of his children!! I would have cared for their nutritional needs the same dang way!! (mine too) And I know they also appreciate you concern also!! And as the years go by, they will appreciate it even more.
Great to see the kids as part of the action.
Thanks for the video! Looking forward to future ones 👍
Busy busy busy! Great to see all the equipment moving around!
That "wind" just looks like a gentle West Texas breeze.
It's like Christmas for me when you drop a new video!!!
It is amazing to see how much work actually goes into planting food and your videos give the public more respect for the farmers like you that put in all the work and gives people a better point of view
The machine at 10:27, was built here in Golden Valley, Minnesota. It's a Tennant 6500. One of the best machines Tennant built. Have worked for the company for 26 years.
Zach, Becky, loved this video! Nice work, as always. Blessings on your spring!
When bump starting ANY manual transmission vehicle, stuff it into the highest gear you have and have at it. 5 mph or better will turn the engine over fast enough to start it normally.
Best wishes for a great growing season.
Awesome job guys. Keep it up
I'm a truck driver, and that wind this week was HORRIBLE!
Great video. Excitement builds for planting. You children are all so pretty and handsome. You are a good Dad taking care of them the way you do. They all look so well behaved and happy.
prayers to you and your community 🙏
I enjoy your father’s smooth easy going personality. 😊
Wish my father was like that. You can see he is quite proud of his son, he can just go to Florida months on end, without a care in the world... You can feel the respect when he gives Zack orders, and listens to alternative ideas when needed.
Same here!
I wish my dad was easy going especially when not when it comes to work. 1st time my wife saw my father and I work together she was appalled, offended and baffled. I said shit this is a great day, he hasn't swung or thrown anything at me yet.
@@MillennialFarmer hey bud enjoy yours too 😂 Can the ol man’s temper get up there sometimes? I’m sure middle of harvest or what somebody drops one of the loaded trailers off in the ditch czn bring it out , it would me lol
@@jrolls38 a lot of family working relationships are like that, iv seen it lol
really awesome video. Thank you and your dad
When will off the husk be back. I have listened to every episode numerous times, I love it and can't wait for more.
Good seeing you abd your dad gearing up for Spring work!! I liked picking up the kids with a semi! Sorry for the loss of your deputy. very sad!
I love watching you with the kids. Keep it up, Dad!
Great job, be safe.
Many thanks for another great video Zack🤠
The kids and your Dad made that video. Great job!
I have never seen a Schrader valve on a tank like that, it should be a ball valve and an air hose style quick connect! Rapid tank drain, fill it up easily, make life nice for the tow truck guy, and with a female to female adapter, hook an air hose off the truck air system for tire filling, impact wrench, or blow guns etc.
You guys are awesome - hope all is well with you and your family!
Life's always an adventure!!!
Great video!
Praying you have a good season
Awesome vid Zack and Becky! Love it when the kids feature in the videos, the way you are with them is just awesome! Best of luck to you all for planting ‘23!
Hi Zack your Dad is Cool and it looks like it's VERY WINDY there . Yes it's a pain in the butt to get under a Semi Truck to work on it... You guys are the coolest farm and the BEST
I thought Dorothy and Toto might blow by any minute..🌪
Talking about FBN. I've been hauling a few loads of chemical for them. Just delivered a load out to Cleveland ND this morning.
Love your videos man ..
Thank you
Great Zach thank you
Love your videos
Great to see the snow has nearly gone . That wind is harsh.
I love this channel so much
Can’t friggin wait for planting! 🇺🇸🦅
Back in my north Dakota days your two hands were the rock picker lol
Getting closer to spring planting, hope all goes well during planting.
I really apriciate the work zack cant wait for your next video👌💚
Zach another winner! I always enjoy seeing Nate as well. It is nice to see it is looking more like spring. I hope you have a great and safe planting season. Looking forward to the wheat, perhaps there could be some type of wager between you and the Welkers for bushels per acre. LOL God Bless
Awesome Video and Much Love From Kentucky!!
thank you
Bellissimo video. Bei mezzi. Bellissimo mezzo. Molto bello e molto bravo. Belle riprese. 👍👍👋👋💪💪🚜🔝🇮🇹
Love checking my phone after school and seeing a UA-cam notification with the name Millennial Farmer under it so happy🎉🎉
Hi my friend hope this year you r planting season will be a good one my friend and keep it up
Good to see y’all getting ready for the field thank you for taking time out of your busy day another sweet video
You should always leave the landing legs about 2-3” of the ground, when dropping the trailer.
I always just crank mine down till they touch then go two turns back up. Perfect every single time
Best of health and happiness this planting season everyone.
Be safe out there.
Have a great planting season. About to get soybeans planted today 5-4-23. That will complete all the fields around the house.
Trucker tip. Use another truck hook both red lines together hold red button in on truck taking air. Or air hose with glad hand same thing 🤷🏻♂️
Love your video❤
First day watching your videos and all I can say is I love it!
we got a new 2230 deere field cultivator last year with the touch set and we just love it
It sure entertaining to watch you guys in action. Love it.👍❤️🇨🇦
Man! There are so many moving parts to run that farm, makes my head hurt.
Trim the bumper for the pull hook hole. 4:03
Best of luck with the planter this season!!! I remember what a pain in the ass that thing was last year!!!
Always hook to the spring hanger.
You guys need some Safe-T-Pulls for your trucks, makes life so much easier
Zach a 3/8 ball valve and a male quick connect for an air hose installed in the tank makes that job way easier, also makes draining the tank way easier. I work at a concrete company and all of our trucks have one so they don't smoke the mechanics out of the shop building air pressure.
Ditch that Schrader valve and install a female quick connector like the one on your air hose. Make a double male piece and you get full air volume from compressor air line and don't have to hold it. When you pull a tractor with no frame hooks, go to the spring hanger. Crazy strong attachment point.
It's not as bad as the wind that was in Southern Illinois last week
We have air quick coupler mounted to the frame on our semi so we can either charge the tanks or we can air up tires, real handy.
Gooo Marty......you've got to hit 88mph to go back to the future!
Great video
Great video Zach. 🚜🚜🚜
Oh shoot, I gotta go! I thought this was Bales Hay channel 😂
Will be interesting to see some wheat growing. Great video. All the best 🇬🇧.
I was waiting for a splice in of Jeff Goldblum in Independence Day.
"Must go faster. Must go faster!"
They are starting to plant in Isanti county, but they still combining last year corn also yet
Great video 👍 👍
You had the great help along hauling corn!😊
I am currently taking classes to get my CDL and that beeping when trying to do the brake and air leaks test drives me up the walls and makes it hard to focus to recall everything I need to recall for the tests.
Time to get busy. Hope planting goes well.
You can also pull another truck up, hook the red air lines on both rigs together and push in the red (trailer) valve and transfer air between trucks that way.
As for pull starting, get a set of recovery hooks and use 2nd or 3rd gear. There should be a couple of square holes in the bumper where you can insert the recovery hooks and use that as your anchor point.
I embraced the beeping lol I work with a lot of grading equipment that constant beeps so I’d honestly didn’t bother me lol ❤loved the video as always zack and family❤❤❤
I thought the wind was only up here in Fago, ND. 🙄
That wind looked brutal.
Tip: install the Schrader valve in the wet tank, or if possible on the compressor. Will fill all the tanks, and if you ever get hooked to a wrecker, they have a place to connect an air source..........
We are planting tomorrow hopefully
this is my fourth year watching Zach and the channel. I can't wait to see some wheat harvest!!
