I appreciate how Bob Orton doesn’t take the “interview bate”
When he’s asked about JYD’s personal issues some wrestlers understood that you protected the business and that you as best you can protect your peers
I feel Hannibal likes to asks many questions that he personally wants to know or questions that everyone knows the answers to.
JYD was really over in Louisiana. He had the look and the charisma. Bob Orton was a great in ring technician. He had a unique understanding of the business and ring psychology.
people believed in JYD, he had a humble earnestness like a bruno sammartino
Out of all the wrestlers that have passed away to soon JYD is the one I miss the most.
That makes two of us dude. He was my absolute favorite hands down!!!
Oh my ....3 of us. Here too.
Make that 4 of us guys!
I can honestly say that I almost cried when I heard the news. Fell asleep at the wheel while leaving a charity wrestling show.
Bob has a lot of class and doesn't want to air every bad thing he knows about someone. That's not usually the case...
Bob Orton is such a humble person
I saw Bob Orton team with his dad in Florida against Eddie and Mike Graham. A great technical wrestler.
Bob Orton Jr and Dick Slater were a great team in Georgia and Florida from 1974-1976
the dad was no slouch either
Bob Orton is awesome.
Seriously a stand up guy
Good memories. The first live card I ever attended was around 1981 in Eunice Louisiana. Bob Orton Jr and JYD were both on the card that night. Peace to all. Thank you for posting
Mid-South/UWF was a terrific territory. They always had tons of talent. Exciting matches. I remember Bob in Mid-South around 82-83. He was always so smooth in the ring.
People talk about Bret having the excellence of execution. Ace was just as good, if not a touch better, in the ring. He was a mechanic.
The arm cast didn't 'hurt' either!
Just got a lil blackballed for making the Bob roop plan b tape back in 1978
Bob Orton was not nearly as good of a worker as Bret Hart.
@@brianezell5790 Yes he was , Ace was not mark for himself like Bret. He want the money instead of being a champion in a fake sport.
Houma is the most consistent mention for "bad" Mid-South towns
not bad meaning bad but bad meaning good
Thanks Hannibal for this interview
Bob is the real deal.
JYD was Hogan/Stone Cold over in the south, and most American in the early 80’s.
Yeah....really good to see Cowboy Bob Orton !!!!
Ace is a legend
Cowboy always acts like a pro , doesn't say a bad word , but honest ans says he wouldn't have him watch his kids
Cowboy Bob Orton was an excellent wrestler and a lot of fun to watch in the ring. It's great to see that he's a straight shooting man and a very likeable guy.
Ace is a mans man
Is Orton getting Watt's mixed up with Grizzly Smith? And was the accusations about Grizzly Smith ever Proven? I have heard that he was strict to work for, but from what I've heard most of his Wrestlers couldn't make it out here in the real world if being on time was considered that horrible and strict to them.
A man's answer!
I’d love to see an in depth interview with JYD
He's long dead unfortunately
THE HANNIBAL TV I know. I still wanna see it though.
He's dead dummy.
What was that about Bill Watts? That was a hell of a thing to say. I wish he had elaborated on it
Bobby Ace!!!!=)
Ace
Acey baby was the man
When i was a kid, we asked orton for an autograph, he was such a total asshole about it, not only refused but said stupid comments to us kids. And this was not a work.
He wouldn’t let him watch his kids? What’s he talking about?
dirbrody ripper
twogreatguitars would you let a ripper play with ur kids?
Did he mistakenly mean Grizzly Smith? We know he liked little girls.
@@yoyo2ma yeah I am confused...what Watts stories did I miss ?
Personal issues means drug's Cowboy! Wake Up! 🤠
he's not a rat like you
@@Shaner373 it isn’t being a rat if it is known by the wrestlers.
Houma has got to be one of the worst places to do a show
Damn bill watts was that bullshit
Bob Orton a true gentleman
