Great review! It felt very balanced in highlighting what the pack has done well, while not shying away from the negatives. For me, I really think that the Sims Team should have delivered everything that was in Sims 3 Pets for horses, but simply upgraded for Sims 4. As it is, it feels like less content compared to the previous iteration of the game and I don't think that is okay for them to be doing. I agree with everything that you were disappointed about them not adding. I also thought we could have done with a rocking horse for children, and needed more variety in the jumps - Sims 3 had loads!! No popups during competitions where you can actively affect performance is also disappointing. The lack of CAS for children and toddlers is baffling considering how may children get into horse-riding. The adult CAS has lots of very similar items (and some identical), that time could have been used to give more to other ages. Horse CAS is great, although at this point, giving us what we have with Cats and Dogs was bare minimum. They really nailed the horse animations and I can see how much time and effort went there. The CAS and BB is good, but ultimately it feels as if the pack is being propped by by those two, and the fact the horses look pretty and move well, whereas it has fallen short on gameplay. That is my take on it all! So not a pack I'll pay full price for, I much preferred Cottage Living personally, but I can see myself getting it on sale in the future :)
Thank you for the fair and balanced review, Shella! I was very “meh” about this pack before release, but it looks so fun it’s bringing back memories of my 8 - 12 year old horse girl era lol. Might not be able to resist getting it… your hair looks great btw! Happy Leo Season! 💜 - Holly (heg203 on the twitch)
I like the ranch hand most, but also enjoy the horses and sheeps and goats. The nectar making is also fun, always love new skills :o) They all are great for my cottage living gameplay.
well done again bestie - you worked hard on this as usual and it shows. long may you continue with your fun informative videos and collab with the creator network. see you in stream.
Hey 👋 shella (moonlitelady86 from twitch here) This was an amazing review Bestie! You described everything very well and very detailed! I think it’s a slam dunk on your first review video! I can’t wait to see your future reviews ✌️👏👏👏👏
i was also bummed out about there not being a new career and the fact they haven't added a new one in a while. I'm not a huge fan of the rabbit holes for the horse competitions but otherwise overall its nice pack if you love horses. i agree with a lot that you said and also love your cowboy hat shella!!
Hey Shella, at 10:21 you said that dumping is a new skill for horses right? for me as I am not a horse person and only interested in nectar making and living sustainable. I wonder how much cross-pack-compatability is possible with this pack. I can't wait to check out the pack once it's on sale. Just because for me personally 40 bucks for only nectar making is quite overpriced tbh. Thanks for the review. I will now end this comment. *bows down infront of Goblin Queen Shella Shellason*
@@Risshella oh yeah that makes so much more sense. You got me a bit confused there I thought to myself:"okay Sims team really said let's turn pooping into a skill." 😂😂😂
You can color the ceilings from above too. When on the floor level, click on the "celliling by tile" or "ceiling by room" in flooring and it will show the ceiling. Beware, if you're on level two trying to color the ceiling of level one, you will actually color the level 2 floor. You have to be on level 1 to color the ceiling for level 1. Just FYI 😊 ps thanks for the overview!
Not the Super Subtle Simsie Shade! lol snorted so hard it hurt my nose!
i couldn’t resist 😂
Amazing review. Going to definitely get it now!!
P.s. I cackled at Simsie appearing in the corner. She does love a good grave 😂
i couldn’t resist 😂
I laughed out loud at this. 😂It was point on.

I love how informative and thorough this review was. I'll be buying this pack for sure, despite not being a horse girl. Great video!
