New York is an engineering marvel, the complexity of all the interconnected systems, heating lines, tunnels, old mail vacuum pipes, drainage, subways and not to mention the proximity of all those buildings. It's crazy how anything works, but it does. Definitely on my list of top 10 cities to visit once the pandemic is over, and I run into some money, well, hopefully. Nice footage.

The plane landed at La Guardia Airport in Queens, NYC. The plane flew over Brooklyn, then Queens. In the beginning of the video that was the Verrazano Bridge. From Staten Island to Brooklyn. The New York Harbor. Lower downtown Manhattan skyscrapers. Financial district, etc. Eventually midtown was shown. This flight was likely a domestic flight. Born/raised NYC/NY'er here. Ex-pat. In Europe. Looking at this video. I hope you get to see my city & enjoy your time visiting, in the future.

Wow 😳 so cool ... I've never been up in an airplane before {I've been around for 57 yrs}, and never care to ... but, I gotta say, thank you thank you for showing & sharing this with us - the next best way of flying in a plane, without having to actually be on one. And wow again - I've never been to NYC before, and probably never will {I don't drive anymore}, so this too is the next best thing to being able to visually see NYC & be up in a plane at the same time. All the cars look like teeny tiny little mites, and the houses buildings too. What a sight! And, how in God's name, with all the heavy tons & tons of weight from all of those concrete/brick bldgs, do not weaken the dirt of the earth not give in, causing those buildings to collapse, surrounded with all that water, is beyond me. Nice to see, but glad I don't live there, no thank you. Thx again 😌

NYC has an extremely strong granite bedrock underneath it all which makes building on top of it and amazing for securing building foundations.

We visited NYC in 2012 and landed at LaGuardia back then. It was under renovation so very chaotic. Nevertheless, we had a great time and still remember it fondly. Sadly, we wouldn't go back now as the City became a no go zone for us with the current mayor. How tragic.

Yes, Calvary is big and very old. It’s owned by the Archdiocese of New York (outside their actual diocese) and was where _The Godfather_ was filmed. It has lots of very interesting and appealing grave and mausoleum works as a cemetery. It is located on Greenpoint Avenue.and is divided into 2-4 tracks of land. I hope to visit Hawaii and visit Diamond Head and/or take a helicopter ride around it.

So exciting to see the shadow of the Aircraft itself during landing! A very well-made video, Mr. Alan Carter! We look forward to having many such excellent videos of NYC Landings in the future! Please keep up the Good Work! Why not, post-facto add a narration on the prominent landmarks on the ground? Thanks, again!

Nice view, brings memories of my only trip to the states so far. Should've purchased a digital cam or a video camrecorder in late March 2001 landing from Shiphol in even more beautiful weather with crystal clear sky - and yes I got the perfect side and windows with most perfect view of Manhattan.
Though the landing at JFK (and not La Guardia as here) was just a stopover to Buffalo (returned a couple of weeks later to NYC just before Easter), I purchased as the first thing in JFK Airport a NYC cap with the skyline including WTC. A year later during a stopover in Zürich Airport my NYC Skyline cap was stolen, maybe due do increased value. Think the value of the cap would even have increased today.
