@@JK_073 Tbf to Kidd, it was a surprise attack from Shanks. Kidd was even attached to his railgun and we were told that there's a 10 sec charge time. Dude couldn't even do things at that time like block or dodge because that railgun. Also, based on the panels, Killer didn't reach Kidd in time to defend him.

I think you're overestimating shit, his ships would've been destroyed and his weaker subordinates would've been killed or heavily injured in the process, not to mention he was in a rush to dip saying he was there too long, so he decided to wrap it up quickly not to mention he didn't give up his road ponegliff and decided to fight so shanks took that as a sign of disrespect I assume.

Saying it's a parallel is literally saying Kid is on Gear 4th Bound Man Luffy level at the start of Wano, which makes no sense, mainly because Kid already fought Kaido well and lost even making Kaido acknowledge the fact that Kid has Conqueror Haki and that was even before Katakuri vs Luffy, not to forget that G4 Bound Man couldn't even scratch Big Mom.

facts, this is what im saying, before we had almost everyone saying that kaido was the strongest in one piece, not even close imo, tbh the fact that lucci also awakened his fruit is interesting because i think this implies that awakened fruit will be the norm for hear on, which means the admirals/garp/sengoku/gorosei/im might all or atleast usually have some awakened devil fruit power that puts them on a tier higher than kaido and big mom. The only issue i see with this is it kinda makes u wonder, why didnt the world government take out kaido and big mom earlier if theyre so strong? I actually think this will be relevant later, i think there will be a very good explanation for this.
Here's the difference, after losing to Kaido, Luffy went to train in a method of Haki with the sole aim of hurting Kaido. Kid did nothing. It should not come as a surprise that Luffy performs far better than Kid
Definitely didn't do nothing. He was training and escaped prison to locate his crew but got caught.

@@namoma4922 The main problem they faced was how to penetrate Kaodo's strong body. Luffy directly solved that problem. Even humbled himself for an old man who was weaker than him to train him. Kid will never do that.
Even on the roof, Luffy was still observing how Kaido fought and improved his technique to match it.
Kaido himself said that the devil fruit alone is not enough. And that is what we are seeing here

Hear me out, I fully credit Kid with breaking Big Mom’s bones *(keep in mind that I specifically said “breaking”* , her ribs and her forearm, lemme explain.
From the panels we see of Law using his Puncture Willie on Big Mom, we can specifically see that his kroon specifically stabs through her forearm and head, when it’s used theres no real mention of any of her bones breaking at that point, not even her forearm is broken even though that’s literally where she got stabbed by Law’s blade. Logically speaking shouldn’t the stabbed area’s be affected the most? As they’re literally the passage way in order for damage to be transferred meaning they get struck first. At this point her forearm and skull should be shattered if Law was apparently able to break her ribs.
After that however, we obviously get Kid ramming his Corna Dio right up front onto Big Mom, now at first no visible seems to be seen when see’s struck, but when she emerges now her forearm can be seen dangling, after that only then does she mention her bones being broken, specifically her ribs. This all makes sense seeing as she got struck by Giant Metalic Bull right to the gut and her “everything” in the front. If Kid is only credited with her forearm being broken then shouldn’t have Oda shown that her forearm was directly struck by Corna Dio? It was off to the side but it wasn’t really the Amin thing that Corna Dio struck. It was her chest which just so happened to be the place where her ribs are seeing as she’s practically a big ass human.
My little theory as to why this is is that Law and Kid basically contributed equally in this scenario. For Law, he was likely the one basically weaken Big Mom’s inside, it wasn’t enough to break her bones however, and so here comes Kid to finish the job, using pure physical force to further damaged the insides that Law had weakened earlier. Law provided a gateway for Kid to break Big Mom’s bones, teamwork yay
Her bones were weakened by Law’s attack and Kid gets full credit for ? Law did 70% of the job in that fight. Damn Punk wasn’t even enough to eject her so Law decided to handle it himself
@@nobody42071 Technically speaking Damn punk was enough to push down, it was what was happening in the background that made Bigmom still be able to hold up, all Law did was keep her quiet then bam solution solved. Also, there's no guarantee of Law weakening her bones even tho I agree. We also don't know to what degree Law weakened them bones so I'd still give Kid's physical prowess the credit for breaking them.
Realistically speaking both Kid and Law provided equal contributions to the fight, and don't get my words twisted, I'm talking about contributions, not overall damage done to Bigmom which in this case Law would have done more damage. But in every situation they were in, they both needed each other to alley-oop each combo.

Law’s K-Room bypassed her insane armement haki protection that was the problem all along. Big Mom was as durable as Kaido when she was serious. It’s even shown in WCI when Luffy tried to attack her.
Overall contribution yeah. Law weakened BM’s bones with a shockwave (1) creating a huge whole in Wano (2), then Kid broke her arm and pushed her down with damn punk. But that wasn’t enough to end her so Law got rid of Misery (3) and silenced BM so that she wouldn’t call her (4). BM then falls through Law’s hole and grabs the bombs. They explode on her in the magma inside Law’s hole. As you can see, Law’s contribution is greater than Kidd’s

Though that is all there is too it, Law helped weaken her bones from the inside where she is the most vulnerable while Kid with pure physical power broke her bones from the outside where she is the most durable. I'd say that's a fair argument.
Bombs wouldn't count on Law's end but either way, Law had more contribution to BM's inevitable demise, tho overall in the whole, I'd say both combatants contributed equally. Kid more in a sense that he's the one that took the lead, facing BM head on with most of his encounters, while Law was the ace, taking the openings Kid provided for him to get in clean shots. Even with that in mind, I'd say each of their points of go both ways, Law helped Kid get in his attacks while Kid did the same if not more.
I can't decide if kids hot-headedness is a strength or weakness on the one hand it keeps getting him in trouble find the other hand that same attitude allows him to get out of trouble and get massively stronger from it.

I feel the reason that people are so against Kidd is simply because of portrayal. Yes, Kidd is strong in many peoples top 30 and even top 20. The problem is that he's one of the few characters in the series that people acknowledge to be strong and is portrayed as a rival to Luffy that just doesn't do anything. Every time he shows, readers get excited and then he gets bodied. Every single time! His backstory is in an sbs, he has conquores that literally knocked out like 2 people, he was stunned to learn that you could even hurt Kaido. Like it's not that he's not strong, it's just that he sucks.
as a character HE'S GREAT, he gives no FCK about anyone or anything, he's fearless which is one of the characteristics that people like the most on luffy BUT UNLIKE LUFFY he has no plot armor... he's an evil luffy and he's an example of what the mc would have received without plot armor... and he's the BEST person to ally with... he will die with his ally trying to achieve a goal with 0 regrets nor fear... only reason for someone to hate his guts and his character is bcz of jealousy NOTHING ELSE... he will kill and die for his friends without a 2nd thought and is THE MOST STRAIGHT FORWARD character in the series along with luffy but somehow he is hater despite being so similar with the most favorite character in the series which truly shows how pathetic OP pseudo fans really are

Kidd was literally one shot by the strongest person in the verse right now because Shanks felt that if he didn't, he would do significant damage. Like it's not crazy to say that if Kidd went againts just Shanks's crew, he would take some of them out. Maybe even seriously injure someone like Rockstar or maybe even Lucky Roo.

Let's put 2 things out as to why he's on Luffy's level.
1. being the fact that Shanks acknowledged his strength and Feat from his future sight, enough to force him to not just step in, but to use a Named Attack, with complete intention of killing Kid on the spot, in order to protect his fleet.
2. His Strength (mainly df usage) being crazy.. everybody forgets or rather forgot that. When Kid created his Damned Punk Cannon , he was pulling 5 ships towards himself. And five ships at once isn't a small feat in anyway. That's literally some crazy force. To the Point that even Shanks was surprised after seeing the future as to how powerful and strong Kid has become. People can call it fodder fleet or whatever, but making Shanks surprised at just the sight of how powerful he is, is a feat on a level of Luffy. Just as how Kaido was surprised by the power Luffy showcased when he Awakened.
Note I'm not saying it's equal, but it is at least on that level. As Shanks himself was shocked and was forced to step in to atop it with a NAMED ATTACK meant for killing
They are not at the same level, one is a yonko the other isn't.
I don't think Luffy can one shot Kidd but I really don't think Luffy will struggle against Kidd. It will be a mid diff fight at best

Kidd has the potential but will probably end up like Sunny or Mama or any number of those failed pirates, and his story relevance will be as a roadblock to real pirates kinda like he is now but with more weight gain
Someone tell me if I’m wrong but is Kid and Luffy the only two awakened devil fruits that gives the person the ability to imbue other people with their devil fruit, like Kid can make Big Mom magnetic, and Luffy can make Kaido rubber, we never saw Katakuri turn someone partially mochi, or Doflamingo turn someone partially into string, I’m just saying he might be part of a rare bunch, or it could be that paramythia have random awakening abilities and don’t just imbue their devil fruit power into their surroundings
hmmm i think it has to do with the properties aspect, we saw a non awakened df with the kage kage no mi cut people's shadows and emit them to turn people into shadow versions of themselves inside literal dead bodies or "zombies" with moira able to consume them himself for power though (also about why luffy could eat so many later) so I think some are simply more apt for certain traits doflamingo makes string to manipulate people so him making people into strings doesn't 'fit' instead him now able to turn his environment to strings lets him fill in his gaps hence awakening
same as luffy but his is that he bends reality with his imagination or "stretches the limits of reality" is actually how I personally view it, rubber is just a byproduct of that in its first stages before awakening
with law or somebody like law who generates a property not is a property, katakuri was mochi he didn't generate mochi so him generating mochi from the environment again fills in his gaps. law and luffy aren't their respective properties, luffy isn't just rubber imho and law isn't just magnetism just like kage kage no mi users aren't just shadows they rule over this thus manipulate these things rather so that means they are the core before awakening for their effects them transmitting this ability to another but manipulating the effects kinda makes sense i imagine an awakened kage kage no mi can turn people into shadows or maybe bolster his ability to make a character that can hold multiple shadows so he could create a shadow army of op shadows with like the shadow of a bunch of famous people inside one person etc

@@KingVictor7 how would kidd touch him? huh? well thats not the problem. the problem is how katakuri will survive any of those attacks that made big mom say shes never felt more pain in decades. those attacks would ONE SHOT katakuri. he can just make katakuri magnetic, boom he cant do anything. his fruit and haki will become useless. he can just crush him with a ton of crap OR "stun" him so he cant move and attack him in another way. wci luffy is fodder to kidd and katakuri lost to him in just 13 punches. katakuris strength and durability are terrible. imagine landing +100 punches and getting beaten by just 13. wci luffy in gear 4 got fodderized by big mom who didnt even attack, just blocked while around the same time kidd was fighting against kaido even though he got beaten. katakuri is nowhere near kidds, luffys or laws strength, durability. the only thing hes even close at is speed.

Probably Stronger. That's why Oda avoided doing that. Cos' looking at Kid who learnt it all by himself and even has control of his Conqueror Haki, making it to knock out just one person in order not to give away their infiltration, is a serious feat. If he had a teacher that thought him how to put that into attacks, he'll be too strong. So yea, that's it. Or even Law.

Kid will be back and on the Shanks loss, you can see that there is clearly an explosion after his CHARGED rail gun is cut in half, when Roger used this same technique it did not cause an explosion, so that shows it was Damned Punk exploding, this is further confirmed as the left side of Killer's mask was destroyed but wasn't hit by the attack while Kid was to his left where the rail gun which said gun is now completely gone, not just cut in half

Like they forget Kid was holding and charging up a freaking big ass cannon, at the same time Shanks got to his front and attacked, which was the main reason Killer had to jump in. There was no reaction time at all with that kind of massive load on his hand. Not to forget that Shanks used a Named Attack and not just any named attack but one with seriousness to take out Kid at once.

The problem was Kid's ignorance and lack of wisdom. Law planned all of his wins, from Rocky Port, Punk Hazard, Dressrosa, and Wano while Luffy's tenacity and lack have been carrying him along the way. Kid has mediocre tenacity only. After losing to the RH pirates, rather than train, he formed alliances. Rather than recruit strong people, he thought his strength was enough. That's why I put him beneath Law, Zoro, and Yamato. To achieve their objectives/dreams these 3 constantly grind ( in Law's case grind & work) while Kid spent 2 whole years without these realizations. But that's how he's written.
I kinda feel like Shanks knocking out Kid in one hit is like how Kaido used Ragnorok on Luffy and knocked him out.

I feel like the difference is nobody at kidd's level should be getting one shot. For example imagine if rob lucci one shot Zoro or something like that would be crazy. Luffy got one shot because he was massively below kaido and now Luffy getting one shot is impossible. He may not win but one shot is crazy. Bb couldn't or for some reason decied not to one shot law so unless bb when he fights shanks is gonna say "room" he should be same strength and win the fight ( atleast that how I think the story is going but oda be oda) to say kidd's L should be brushed aside because shanks was a yonko is kinda invalid because he went looking for trouble BOTH TIMES. To our knowledge shanks hasent done a bad thing like kaido so here's kidd being his usual piece of shit self attacking innocent people as you do when trying to endear character to the audience, and taking L after L and trying to murder shanks entire fleet for a reason that's unknown apart from he is kidd and than he gets whats coming to him. @@sammy6805 Kidd was off guard (hand still in the gun) and got hit by the explosion of his rail gun as well as Shanks ACoC attack. Can’t really blame him. Shanks is killer of observation Haki and used FS as well so imagine.
Luffy at Kaido’s level was one shotted when he was held by the CP0 agent in Gear 4 (which makes him way more durable in base btw).
Even at top tier levels, its clear if you are off guard / distracted you can get one shot. And its Shanks, who is one of the strongest in the verse

He's the closest thing to a supernova rival for Luffy same goes for Zoro and Killer. Luffy and Kid even competed constantly in Wano jail and Zoro and Killer even had some moments. Plus The Strawhats and the Kid Pirates are the only two crews who's captain is a supernova and second in command is also a supernova. Also Kid and Killer both faced strong foes. Killer Defeated Hawkins, Kid along with Law and Luffy went after Big Mom and Kaido and all ended up with a massive bounty all rivaling each other in the end. You can't just say they were scrap characters after they were such a big part of this.

Oda could POTENTIALLY make this kidds journey to beating shanks like luffy to kaido. Just like Luffy, Kidd got one shot in the first fight and even lost his entire crew(which we thought happened when kaido use blast breath on luffys crew). If Kidd comes back from this devastating loss, his haki boost could be huge kind of like how luffy got back from kaido beating him and got way stronger each time. Once again though this is just a possibility so who knows oda could just f kidd over and never bring him back but who knows.

For me i think his crew will save kid from drawning in the sea and they will some how will convice the gaint to camp in the island probably by begginng to the gaint and they will rebuild there ship kid while use this time to train on his haki to get revenge form shanks and maybe kill dory and brogy for what they did to his ship and use there head to put it in his ship
