Your channel was one that helped fuel my passion for diecast collecting. Because you show us the very real dissatisfaction that can come with being a diecast (hot wheels in particular) collector. But when you find that awesome model in the wild, that dissatisfaction fades away immediately. Another person in this comments section said small towns were still good places to find unscalped hot wheels, but I’ve found luck by going to the same four stores once a week. Places I’d go anyway, and while I’ve not found an STH (I think a lot of that has to do with retailers actively pulling them from cases and then selling them online at a markup (see target or walmart online for more there), I have found a healthy share of chases which is cool. All that said I primarily stick with RLC and Kaido anyway. RLC’s are easy without overdrive you just have to have that site prepped and ready to roll right at go time. If you’re in a meeting with your boss tell him to hold on, you’ve got a purchase to make
I know this isnt about hot wheels, but you can easily find models that your looking for the smaller the town. Where i live, there are very few scalpers and you can still find highly-hunted models.
I'm more amped by Goodwill bags than retail store Hot Wheels stox. I've found Impalas, Ohio police cars, and just a few hours ago I've found a 1/43 Chevrolet Venture. I've been collecting Speakers, Calculators, fans, security cameras, light fixtures and light bulbs, as well as various other junk from Goodwill, which is a candy shop for me. I even have a sign collection.
Oh man was a big Lego fan from 2015 till about end of 2022 and i always loved cars so I fugured since Lego was expensive and took up to much space and Pokémon was a side hobby the was left in the distance so I switched to Hotwheels since they were everywhere, cheap as dirt and took up no space and then after 5 months of collecting I figured out what a TH and a STH was, and that’s what got me addicted
U heard you want to find a new hobby, whatever happens DO NOT TRY SONIC TOYS OR TRANSFORMERS, the sonic scene suffers worst scalping than us , transformers are suffering from bad hasbro decisions
The quality of Hotwheels has gone down hill too. I just don't care anymore.
I don't collect Hot Wheels, but I love watching your channel. But I do collect Star Wars. So, this video broke my brain a little, haha.
Haha! Glad you enjoyed it.

I guess that's one perk of the small town life
They look good, I made a Dooku lightsabre that I am busy finishing up.
