Really cute! Love the idea. You have a great beginning for a flower-nature journal with all the specimens you have collected and covered. Lots of possibilites. 😊🌻🌿❤

I just found this video of yours Emily and what good timing! I just pressed my first flowers today ( got the idea from Pam @The Paper Outpost) using the microwave. Then I thought...”ok, now what do I do?” Now I have some great ideas...thank you so much. Pam was the first journaling artist I found and have watched every one of her videos...some multiple times.

Kathryn Helm Pam is fabulous! I need to watch her presses flower video because mine take forever to dry in my dictionary lol! 💕🌸

I love how you did this! I've laminated mine in the past but this is another great option, especially for the thicker ones that won't go through the laminator! If you use a laminator, the objects need to be really flat or you can use the self-laminating pouches. I love what you have done with them! Adding background and laces are beautiful! I like the idea of vellum as well! I have only added a hole at top with ribbon and put in a pocket as botanical tag. I have lots of inspiration now!

Now I’m going to have to check my books to see if I still have some flowers hanging out there. What a great idea! My favorite is the last pocket with the little lace at the bottom.
Will see you tomorrow on the live!!! 🥰💕

These ideas are so lovely! I have been collecting fall leaves and wanting to do something special with them, and now I have it, thanks to you! :) And I love that you didn't edit out your struggle - that is how it sometimes goes! :) Thank you for sharing. Blessings! :)

What a treasure trove of pressed flowers, Emily! I have a bunch in some old books, too, that I gathered last summer. I love your ideas! Definitely need to find some transparent sheets like yours! I have some but they are flimsy. I'd like some that are more stiff like yours.

    Hi Emily, it’s a great idea 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
    P. S. It’s easier to tear if you take the long side of paper...

The yellow flowers with the thick brown center are called 'Black Eyed Susans'. They are a perennial and are hard to press because of the bulk. Loved how you used them.

We used he MicroFleur. It takes 1 1/2 minutes in the microwave depending on the flower. I loved your hydrangeas...even with the tan color they were beautiful. That poofy one and the babies breath were wonderful as well. Happy pressing!

I always have books and flower presses full of bits and pieces drying and I love adding these little gems to my journals for an old fashioned touch. I think your blue favourite is a periwinkle by the looks of it! Does it spread around on a kind of Viney creeper?

P.S love your little charm additions, so cute! Pam's book page series is a wonderful resource! Handy to go back to for some great ideas and her sample book was amazing!

Pam is awesome! I haven’t caught up with the series yet because I only recently found her. I’ve been picking and choosing ones to watch, but I need to start at the beginning lol!
Honestly, I can’t remember where that flower came from lol! It may have fallen off of one of my mom’s plants?? I love flowers, but I really know nothing about them. I’ll have to ask my mom if she has/had a periwinkle plant 😊❤️🤗

Last year, I laminated mine and then sewed around them. That’s what I’m working on this week. But you definitely can’t do thick ones. I found that out the same way. Lol 😂
    These are pretty.
