  • Ryan shows Nathan the next song from the album Queen of the Murder Scene, and this song does not disappoint. A solid song all around, both studio and live. Crazy to think this song almost didn't make it to the album.

They did so many versions of this song that two other songs on the album came from it: The One and The Sacrifice.
They were going to give up on the song, but their father convinced them to finish it. Thank You LUIS!

'The sadness tastes like yesterday' every syllable hitting with the beat, continuing 'And time won't take'... then 'the pain away' is synchopated. Choices like this make a frigging song. Choices like this are what make every song of theirs listenable on repeat.

Nathan -I think with some bands, the problem of sounding the same live, results from studio musicians becoming involved during recording sessions. When the band then goes live, they can't match the sound and skill of the studio guys. The Warning ladies go to the studio alone (playing and singing). When they go live, everything from the studio is out there on stage....plus they are fun to watch.

Dani's singing is very dynamic, Ale bass line is great, but I especially love Pau's cymbals work with the subtle highlights that add a lot of texture to the drum partition.

I am deeply impressed by the lyrics of this song. The obligatory question is without offending the youth,,, being so young, how can they write something so deep and of this psychological complexity? it's absolutely amazing.

One of my favourite. To think that it almost didn't make it on the Album. Thanks to their Dad's encouragement that they didn't give up on it.

This song, which almost didn't make it to completion, is a masterpiece!!

Why do you say that? It's the first song in Chapter 1 and she is infatuated with the man.

@@johndziadyk8624 It is the second song in Chapter 1. They had so much difficulty writing this song and almost gave up on it, but their dad convinced them to tough it out and finish it. Because of all the struggles involved, they decided to name it "Ugh".

Their third album took three months to record 12 songs. Each instrument was recorded and edited almost every two weeks individually starting with Pau's drums (in one studio) then Ale's bass (in a different studio), and Dany's rhythm (yet another studio). Main vocals (with lead guitar) and background vocals (you guessed it another studio). I think there was 5 or 6 different studios all together.
Mixing start later this month, then marketing decisions, and hopefully before March it get released, unless Lava/Republic/UMG has the final say on it's public release.

Ryan, that's cheating. Someone wants Nathan's daughter instead of you, so you bring in your little daughter. "Psst, here, honey, listen to this and head bang a little on camera and Daddy will watch Frozen with you again."

I think your format is very good. A change from overacting other reaction channels. There isn't as much morphium as you want to spend. No matter. I think the division into studio and live performance is great. The Warning and Nightwish are two of my favorite bands. Rammstein is one of them. They are really good live. Fire and fireworks without end. Is it also something for you. I will continue to accompany you. Good job you do there. I also share your humor.

@@WelpHereWeAreOnUA-cam Oh, I forgot. Not that it matters, but I always prefer live music. You can see what the artists can really do. On the other hand, this has already destroyed ideas. I also think it's a shame that you don't get to hear music like this on the radio. Just this mainstream feel good pop and gangsta rap crap.

There seems to be very little oldschool about this band regarding the technical side. They're heavily based on computer tech live. Software pedal boards, click track, backing tracks. I got the impression they also work on having the computer controling Dany's pedal board, so the guitar sounds are automaticly changed when needed in the songs. They also record the modern digital way in the studio, where every track are recorded one by one and the tracks may have a lot of cut and paste afterwards.
I personal like when studio and live are not the exact same, because it two wery different listing situations. In the studio you can add small details that make it a more interesting listen. Live you want energy, "party" and a feeling you experience something unique. Bands usually do that be adding small changes to their songs and bits of improvisation to the show. Nearly impossible to do, if you live show are run by a computer you have to follow. 😎

Only two songs top this one imo. I much prefer the live version though because to be honest this hard rocker merging into a solo piano is a bit jarring to me. I much prefer the guitar version.
