This penultimate episode of Attack on Titan was everything I could've hoped for and more. MAPPA absolutely captured the rollercoaster of emotions I had while reading these chapters.
They handled Hange's death perfectly. I shed sad and happy tears. Hange's death was written so beautifully by Isayama. Also they didn't censor much of the Rumbling either. In fact I'm surprised they were able to put in what they did and have it air on tv in Japan.

I think we can pretty much put an anime original ending to bed now. The credits shows the three trees - the one in Shiganshina, the one in Paths, and the one from the final panel of the final chapter. Yeah MAPPA might tweak the ending a bit to help smooth out the rough edges and make it less clunky than it was, but I don't see a wholesale change incoming. It's gonna really depend on how it's executed for me. There's a lot I love about the ending and some stuff I dislike.
First scene is the Cabin Scene from the manga, then it's manga opening scene which is different than the anime opening
