I followed along as I made a top & I NEVER got so many compliments on a post in my life, my DMs exploded with requests. The tutorial is actually practical to understand, I love the no pattern factor, as necessary as they are sometimes, I love to be able to just play with fabrics and it’s fall. I’m definitely staying tuned for more.
Thank you so much. This is so easy to follow so my adhd is happy. Cowl tops are the best thing for my body as I have large chesticles so I always look weird in commercial clothes.
New to sewing and I cannot wait to try this out when my material arrives! Making this a project for myself, would love to see more videos like this from you!
This was wonderful! I made it this past week and wore it this weekend. Such a lovely top. For those asking about sizing, I am a US size 6 or 8 and I began with an 85 cm square. Turned out perfect, but probably will size down to 80 cm next time.
Totally not trying to be creepy but can I ask you bust measurement? I'm usually a size 6 US but I have a bigger bust and I'm wanting to make sure it's the right size before I cut my nice satin 😬
Sierra Gilbert hey so I’ve made this too a couple times now in different sizes and my calculation is: Size 2-4=75cm square 6=80 cm square 8=85 cm square 10=90 cm square
This top is so exquisite. I finally decided to try it once I bought my first mannequin🤩😍 It’s so easy, I watched this from start to finish and it came out perfect. I love it so much 💖
I've been wanting to make a cowl neck backless halter similar to this (but with a spaghetti strap tie in the back just under the bust rather than a waist tie) for awhile! This was so helpful in figuring out where to begin, thank you!
I followed this tutorial and it came out amazing! I was a bit confused at first wondering if I actually needed to cut a 75cm square first, but I just cut out my correct sized rectangle from a large cut of fabric and it came out the same. The end result looks very sophisticated but this is easier than a T-shirt in my opinion! Thanks for the tutorial!
Just did this. For anyone, my measurements for the belt was 2 meters and the strings were 75 meters each. The end product looked exactly like hers and I feel so cool in it. Now I have to do a skirt for it! Edit: I did the skirt and wanted mom to iron it...... she burned a part of it and now idk how to fix it i don't have enough fabric :')
I have so many questions! How do you make the small name tag thing for your brand? What machine do you use? Do you not have to overlock the edges when you’re sewing satin? Do you have an over locker/serger? If yes, what’s the name of it? How long have you been sewing? I absolutely love this and I wish you the best on your journey to success!
The name tags were ordered online. I got mine from World Wide Labels. I use an industrial machine but you can make beautiful clothes with any working machine tbh. No need to overlock if the edges are not exposed. This avoids bulk on thin fabrics. The overlocker I have is from Bernina. I've been sewing for 13 years. I really appreciate your questions and I hope this will be helpful on your journey too
Can i bring that spaghetti strap down and attach it to the ribbon bottom ... So as to connect the band supporting my back ? And also ... I don't want front neck to be this deep ... What should i do ?
So beautiful!! ❣️ So satisfying to watch💓 can I ask if I can use your pattern and sell what I made, I'm just starting my small business. Please let me know I wanna know your permission first. ☺️
