@@theanonymousasmrchanelguid2620not by choice! The modeling industry is like that because there’s always another girl ready to step in. At least that’s what the agents have built it up to sound like. But tbh ine been to 500 person cast tings and it’s kind of true. Influencers I think have to build their following so it’s a little diff bc people willingly followed them. So it’s proof someone likes you. At least online lol!! But I think a lot of models have to have a social presence now anyways so it’s kind of blending bc influencers will get hired to model so the designers or shows can reach more people. So yeah models are hush bc you’ll get dropped.

It would be more work to re-fit the same garment on someone else than it would be to just fit a new one (unless we're talking couture ofc, that's a whole different thing). For jobs literally 30 minutes beforehand. I’ve done runway and yea they pay VERY low I’ve done multiple runway back to back and walked away with maybe 200 dollars. As a model I was making just about minimum wage. You never really get big money unless you become famous.

@@dayrameriez2587 I would suggest starting off by figuring out what type of model you want to be. Then get some headshots taken and create a portfolio and then just start looking for a modeling agency that would fit. Don’t just look for one or make an appearance for one go with a bunch because it might take a little for an agency to pick you and then just start looking for castings. My best advice to give you is embrace rejection because it happens. It helps to promote yourself on social media as well. There can be a dark side to modeling not just with weight but I’ve had times where the photographers are just straight creeps. Be safe.

The one he is with now is more professional, since obv he's older now and yes he does get to keep clothes and he got piercings and dyes his hair atleast once a month and doesn't get anything for free. For all of those who are saying “the modeling industry needs to be changed!” You also have to understand that it won’t. Most models are already being paid an inhumane amount for their work. When modeling agencies and big brands are confronted about this, they use the excuse “We can always find somebody who will do it for less.” Sadly, that is true. Most models WILL do it for less. They’ll do it for NOTHING. This job is one of the most desirable career paths to exist, and most people don’t want to do it for the money.

Bambi Northwood Blyth definitely got to keep clothes. They were tailored to fit her, that’s why they were given to her afterwards. Might depend on how famous a model you are.

I’m pretty sure Gigi hadid, Kyle Jenner gets to keep a lot of clothes and gets a lot of free clothes just to promote their brand even more… it’s cheap marketing for the big brands.

Runway earnings largely depend on a host of factors. But the popularity of the designer's label and how the show or event is sponsored drives up both revenue and a model's earnings. The quality and volume of press coverage matters as well.

Modeling is a dumb profession Truth is, it’s not a career. It’s very toxic and dangerous industry. Your self esteem as a human being will be destroyed, trust me. To be a fashion model is not a job. You will be exploited and mistreated. You will be exposed to sexual predators and disgusting people. Don’t let your kids do this job. Those nowadays models are in no way role models or example of people that have succeeded but rather people that have sell themselves for money. And i specifically say this when people chose this as a career alone and dont do other things except modelling.
Also it doesnt even require any skill all they do is POSE FOR A LIVING

I started modelling at the age of 12 yrs old and I stopped at the age of 16 yrs old and now I'll turn 17 in a few months. And about the clothes, sometimes I got to kept them. There's this beautiful blue dress that I love so much.........I wish I got to kept it like ughhh just because of that....blue becomes my favourite colour. And yep about the payment..... it's not good at all.
