Greatest blue-eyed soul singer of all time. Gregg Allman rest in peace.
Back then music was a goddamn religious experience, never forget that.
for my $$$$, one of the best blues performances ever recorded
I remind myself of this song everytime somebody wants to dump their misery on me. ❤
Thanks girl for playing this, takes me back to "71" as a sixteen year old socal surfing hippie dude getting my heart broke . Loved these guys, had all their albums and 8 tracks ,whew! Peace out and love. Cisco .
Have really been getting this band. Ability to capture the sound of America with a cross between Gospel and Southern Gothic.
Woo hoo!! So happy you did this!! Nothing like Southern rock/blues💞💞 would you react to One Way Out ....next by Allman Brothers please
You are gorgeous. You should be a model!
You got a blown speaker 🔊
The Allman Brothers Band -Live at the Fillmore East !!!
It's hard to believe the singer is just 21. It sounds like he's been down hundreds of miles of bad road.
My favorite band. They were the best!
Whipping Post, Soul Shine, Statesboro Blues...and these are just the more known about ones
Audio was messed up. Recorded in 2 channel stereo, but we only got the left channel. Don't know about your end, but it left out Dickey Betts' guitar solo.
You were looking confused at the beginning at how it started. It's a 2 song medley that starts with 'Don't Want You NO More'. This was just the second song.
BTW, it's pronounced "All- mon" Brothers Band.
Try the opening song from their album, 'Live at the Fillmore East'. The song is 'Statesboro Blues'.
This isn't just 'southern rock'. These are the guys that caused people to call it 'southern rock'. According to Gregg Allman, ALL rock is southern. It all began here in the south. Little Richard, Elvis Pressley, Chuck Berry, Jerry Lee Lewis...these guys were all from the south. "Usin the term 'southern rock' is like saying 'rock rock'."
Same thought: we're only hearing half the song - that needs fixin'.
Very pleased to see you obviously feeling that ABB blues groove.
When the blues was born, it was just biding it's time, waiting for Gregg Allman to start singing.
I'd love to catch your reaction to
their song, One Way Out.
I haven't checked in for a while -
You're lookin' good -
Peace
Speakin Gods Southern Truth - AINT NO OTHER !
Good choice.
hell yeah great reaction to a great song
This recording is leaving out some of the guitar track
This was great.
Wow. My favorite southern rock band and this is one of my favorites by them. The only thing better than this is the live Fillmore East version
You look great.
Liked and subscribed!
what a beautiful reaction thank you
I dig your vibe! 100%
ANYTHING Allman bros honestly. Including Greg Allman's Laid Back album. Check out the Laid Back album version of midnight rider!
And I would really love to see your reaction to E.L.P FANFARE FOR THE COMON MAN ENJOY THAT RIDE 🤗😉😎
You should do Stormy Monday from the Fillmore East Album next Please ✌️
I'm hoping you - well, WISHING you would listen to the two opening tracks to their original album. The two songs flow together, and that's how the world was introduced to this band. The impact of the opening YEAH YEAH YEAH is lost without that opening track, plus sharing the experience of wonder at that first number plus this one.
By the way - the Allman Greatest Hits work often castrate songs of one bit or another, remastering one track into overpowering the other, eliminating musicians entirely.

Since the music industry started producing "Best of" albums, they've always been "worst of" in my opinion. 'Just the most commercial "hit" songs that people who were only familiar with the bands by listening to pop radio knew. If you wanted to really know what a band was about, what they were capable of musically, you needed to hear all the gems on the album - not just two popular songs over and over and over.
Oh shit here we go with The Allman Brothers. Fucking ridiculous band
In a great way lol I’ve seen them 19 times live. Mostly in the 90’s and they were still insanely good with that lineup
Whipping post live! 9/23/1970. It’s sooo good! Much better than their studio music!
Is there any white dude that's got as much soul as Greg Allman? You add Duane who may have been the best slide guitarist in music at the time and the feel and words add up to perhaps their greatest song. Thank you for playing my favorite one by the ABros.
Boz Scaggs
He's not playing slide. Sheesh
could only hear one guitar, the other solo was muted in the stereo mix
Remember Duane ALLMAN 🍑
Pick a song any song strap in and just ENJOY the journey 😏😊😎
Whipping Post maybe?
Try Joe Cocker Delta Lady. Great soul voice.
or Leon Russel
Lost one channel during the guitar solo
.
Another Southern Rock band? If not for the Allman Brothers, there is no Southern Rock genre.
Pronounced "All-Man" Not Al-Man.
This is just nasty.
