I actually bought this tv because I watched this video and it says you can use multiview with 2 HDMI ports. *You cannot*. I just got off the phone with Samsung. You can use 1 HDMI source and then as the 2nd source you can use UA-cam or a streaming app from your phone. (Or Samsung free tv but no one uses that). Using screen mirroring (which isn’t really screen mirroring, it’s just streaming from your phone). You cant keep the multiview boxes the same size. One is always larger than the other, but it’s your choice which to make larger. There’s a max of 2 screens, some other types of Samsung tvs can have up to 5 screens but not the frame. That’s it. That’s what multiview is. You can only use 1 HDMI port. Your 2nd option is UA-cam or any streaming app that’s on your phone and uses airplay or android equivalent. You can only play audio from 1 source at a time not both. Hope this helps anyone. Also this account should delete this video as it’s full of inaccuracies.
Damn. Was hoping I had missed the ability to select two HDMI sources somewhere. Used to have Sony which supported two HDMI sources, was great for couch co-op console games that didn't offer split-screen on a single console. Might the feature be region specific and available on just some models of the Frame TV?
Over a decade ago, my family had a bulky big screen TV with a feature similar to this. A decade ago. The only real difference being the connectivity to smartphones. But the multi-screen thing, yeah. We had that a decade ago. Why did it ever go away?
PLEASE How do you delete multi view presets? Unfortunately I set it up when I set up my TV and now I can't play a UA-cam video on the full screen anymore.
How do you do split screen with Netflix? Mobile share with Netflix tells me to to use the TV. But when I try, it only lets me share with broadcast TV, not the Netflix app on the TV
Hi Erin Can you watch to TV stations at the same time on Multiview and how do you add the sauce? OR if you watch TV show and have a second source coming off your HDMI. So you watching TV for example and you’ve got your security system hooked up to the HDMI 1. How do you set that up to watch on multiview?
Would you know how I can unhide or add the multi view option to my home screen menu? I know that my 2020 QLED Q80T has this feature but I don’t have a direct access button on the remote nor is there an option showing on the home screen menu. I have stumbled on it before but now can’t seem to find it again!! Please help me if you can.
Just commenting what I found out: you can basically only use 1 hdmi and the 2nd screen will be a screen cast from your phone to the tv. I’m able to have my Nintendo switch on and either UA-cam or a show by connecting my phone. I can use my phone like normal after it connects to the tv, so it’s not like how you need to keep UA-cam open on your phone to watch the video. Netflix doesn’t work because Netflix doesn’t want you to be able to stream that way. Hulu does work. At any point the apps you use on your phone might stop being able to cast to the tv (depending on the streaming company’s choice) I think you could use any hdmi port plus your phone, but not 2 hdmis.
You note in your video that you can show two different HDMI sources with Multi View. Is this feature only for specific models? I have been getting conflicting information from Samsung about using two HDMI inputs simultaneously with Multi View. Some tell me that all TVs can only use one HDMI input at a time and the other screens have to be for casting a phone or use the TV apps, while others tell me that the 8K TVs support using two HDMI inputs simultaneously… wondering if you know if any of the 2021 TVs would allow me to play an Xbox on one side and a PS5 on another. Thanks!
I'm running into the same issue. The left side allows me to select a source (HDMI, UA-cam, or Cable) but the right side refuses to do anything besides phone mirroring. So I think you are right that it must be model specific for the other options. The screen mirroring also requires a newer phone so my galaxy S8+ won't be of much use.
My 55 inch 2021 model also does not seem to give me the option to add a second hdmi source. So it’s TV/ps4 on one side and app/UA-cam/mobile on the other side. Not TV on one and PS4 on the other side, which is what I was expecting from the specs and explanations. Real bummer.
Maybe you could have your Xbox via hdmi on one side and stream your PS through the official remote streaming app on the phone side? Or vice versa, and see which console remote streaming app adds the least amount of lag.
So if I have Hulu I cannot use Hulu from the TV app and then Hulu via HDMI source or Satellite at the same time? My goal would be to stream 2 college football games at the same time. TIA
I wonder why the 2020 Samsung 8K TV has multi view, but there is no Multi View button on the remote or on the home screen. When I mirror my iPhone to my Sansung TV, multi view pops up and then I can change most of the settings shown in this video. Maybe there is some kind of Multi View 2.0 on 2021 and newer models? I've searched around for answers but all results show 2021 multi view behavior
So many options, but cannot be disabled without jailbreaking the TV. That was the first thing I did after uninstalling all the bloatware Samsung ships on their TVs now. Samsung’s interface is so disappointing. I have recently replaced my Frame with a G1 and am much happier. The frame can go in the basement and the kids can put up with the horrible menu system.
Samsung multiview is completely useless… you can’t view two hdmi sources at once and youtube is the only app I found that can be used in multiview. What a fu**ing shame

What about HDMI and an App from the TV like Hulu or satellite input?
Happened with me too. Misguiding lead to wrong purchase. Should remove this video asap.

How do I turn this feature off?
ua-cam.com/video/o_jBRKZEibM/v-deo.htmlsi=vvNTut4JpUU2mHba
Press Enter and go to exit
I don’t have any sources to select for my second source I don’t understand
I have this same problem. The second screen does not give me an option to add anything. Did you reslsove this yet?
Same here. Did you figure it out?
Me too
Same problem. Let me know if u figured it out!
Same here
Over a decade ago, my family had a bulky big screen TV with a feature similar to this. A decade ago. The only real difference being the connectivity to smartphones. But the multi-screen thing, yeah. We had that a decade ago. Why did it ever go away?
it went away because of the switch from analog to digital
yup exactly, also a decade ago i had a tv with split screen, today I'm trying to do the same without any results... go evolution..
PLEASE How do you delete multi view presets? Unfortunately I set it up when I set up my TV and now I can't play a UA-cam video on the full screen anymore.

How to you add apps to the add view tabs when I use multi view no app show up not even UA-cam I need help setting mine up
Any luck finding this?
Can you get this on a Samsung 4K Crystal 8000 Series TV? Is there an update or App from Samsung?

I’m Still trying to figure this out

When I mirror image I would like it to be full screen. Can’t seem to make it happen.

Is there a way to watch 2 (tv) channels at once I know you can watch a channel & stream UA-cam & other apps
I don't think so
can this be used only for 2 different hdmi sources, or can i use it for 2 different channels on 1 hdmi source
nope
It pops up every time I connect my PC to the computer and I hate that. I want to disable it, but I don't know how.
I hit mult view but there are no options, just add phone, im using a qled tho
How do I turn it of when screen mirroring
How can I do hdmi and usb
How do I completely exit multiview?
Hey Erin
How to turn the multi view off please?
don't turn it on
Can I not watch Netflix or any other app while watching UA-cam? UA-cam came in one box but the note box is not letting me choose anything
Hello..Is it the same on Neo Qled series like QN90A ?
Can we use on UA55AU9070 with iPhone ?? As with iPhone the full screen is castes and not one of the window of multi view so pls confirm
This is soo cool!!
There’s no option to use anything but Samsung tv plus or UA-cam for the 2nd option..

Consigo assitir um canal de TV e usar uma entrada HDMI ao mesmo tempo?
Yes.
Thank you Erin … can your connected external hard drive be one of the sources?
No. I’ve been trying to do that for an hour which is why I’m on this vide
Thx. PiP is useful :)
Just ordered from Amazon ..thanks for the info
I’m so glad you fou
Fibe TV App?
Works in 2020 version?
I have Samsung tu7000. Multiview is unavailable on mine?

The only option it shows me is my mobile. How do I add others?

Really?
How to turn off 1 screen, make the other full screen permanently?
Press and hold the return button when you select the phone/tablet 👍
Multiview is the most annoying „feature“ on Samsung TVs to this date. Who came up with this? WHO ON EARTH wants a split screen?
lots of people bro
Dam this multi-view setting is garbage. Why so much wasted space? Would be nice to just split the screen evenly between two inputs
Yeah. Not ideal. But there are options for placement
I do not like this feature and wish I could disable it
i am just so mad they put the tu8000 in the compatible device but its actualy not compatible :S
Wow! Erin is a beautiful woman!
So many options, but cannot be disabled without jailbreaking the TV. That was the first thing I did after uninstalling all the bloatware Samsung ships on their TVs now.

Thanks for the comment, and sorry to hear that.
Can you tell me how did you do that?
My Q60A only shows two presets and mobile and if you try to mirror from phone it goes full screen on TV. Absolutely frustrating and useless. 👎👎👎
How to remove multiview. It is irritating
I can’t stand this “feature”. And you don’t mention how to cancel it. Fail!
Samsung multiview is completely useless… you can’t view two hdmi sources at once and youtube is the only app I found that can be used in multiview. What a fu**ing shame
