Cilla Black sings 'You're My World' Live in 1964 at The Royal Variety Show at The London Palladium. This performance truly shows what an amazing singer she was - R.I.P. Cilla x
WOW....what a song, what a voice....it pierces your heart and soul. I believed every word she sang! To those 4 morons who amazingly thumbed this down .....you don't deserve to have ears!
There are always losers out there that don't appreciate talent when it is presented, this is true brilliance, Cilla was such an amazing singer, not like the rubbish around now, and she was such a nice girl as well. R.I.P. Cilla...........
I am delighted that a new generation is discovering and appreciating the likes of Cilla and all the other brilliant singers and groups from the 60s. It gives me hope for mankind in these dark days....
She starts off so meek and mild, and then, "with your hand resting in mine...." she demonstrates just how powerful her voice is, with that emotion attached to it. Also, I wanted my hair done just like that when I was entering high school.
As a lonely teenager I hoped that somewhere, somehow a girl would feel this way about me. I had to wait a few more years but the wait was worth it. I can happily say that such a girl found me and we have had a wonderful life together.
You wouldn’t wanna be a wine glass when Cilla hit the power button. My favourite lady singer of all time. lorra luv for ya Cilla in your place on high.
A song should be from the heart, it should express the heart, and this is the greatest expression of the heart. There will never be a replacement for songs from the heart RIP
1:29 For years I couldn't figure out what she sang: "If our love ceases to be". Then along came the internet and I could research song lyrics. I was the same with Lesley Gore's "Sunshine, Lollipops and Rainbows" when I didn't know what she sang with "That's how this refrain goes".
This song I first heard, I was about 8,i was sitting in the lounge at home the net curtains were blowing and it was a summer's day, it blew me away made me cry it always stayed with me, so emotional ❤
I had forgotten just how good she was. I was 16 in 1964 and there were more exciting pop acts around , like the Stones and the Beatles plus many more that competed with Cilla for my attention. Watching this now in 2021 , I can see she was a really talented singer , but I didn’t properly recognise that at the time.
1964/65 *Just out of high school me* spent many nights in "teen clubs" and this was one of those songs you waited for so you could actually hold her in your arms ... This lady, Dusty Springfield, Leslie Gore and The Righteous Brothers were just what you wanted. Cilla was a "little lady with the big voice" and was appreciated for her talent and songs that let you *polish your belt buckle*
they do if you look at BGT. But, they let themselves get inspired by todays music which is not always good. I just heard a woman, 57yo, sing this song on BGT. She was super. I have often wondered why nobody take up the great songs of the 60ies by Dusty and Cilla.
What a wonderful success story....Through her talent. And the beautiful uplifting Orchestration. Perfectly arranged. Real entertainment and 'Romance' touching. No aggression welcomed here. Just talent. Thanks for this. John (Australia)
Juliet by the Four Pennies was a wonderful song, I was 14 years old then and have great memories of that time. Music and groups were so different from the past and Britain ruled the music scene.
Love this song. I remember hearing this song as a small girl and falling in love with it. I used to sleep with the radio on and would wake up when this song came on🤗❤️🤗
Actually, though this is good, I prefer the instrumentation of the single release - it suits the punchiness of the vocal better, IMO, without intruding. Here the brass (?) intrudes, and the violin stabs are a bit swamped.
Some voices are simply gifts from God. This is one of them.
Couldn't agree more❤
nothing to do with a god lol
@@60toodles Agreed. There are no gods, just gullible humans.
But, IF there were, Cilla would be our goddess.🤔
Amen
Michael Jackson used to say it came from above…
We will never have another Cilla A Legend
Damn , this woman could sing the phone book and have it reach the top 40.
WOW....what a song, what a voice....it pierces your heart and soul. I believed every word she sang! To those 4 morons who amazingly thumbed this down .....you don't deserve to have ears!
APPARENTLY THEY DON'T HAVE HEARTS......BOB S. FOX, USA
There are 8 morons now!!!
its usually a misclick

Absolutely fabulous performance; what a voice she had!
❤

Others have tried, but no one sings this as good as Cilla.
R.I.P
I had forgotten how good this beautiful lady was!!!
Cilla could really sing, she had a powerful voice. This number really suited her. I love it.
Certainly one of the best singers of the modern world.
Out of this world, thank you Cilla for this absolute monster of a song
Sadly there will never be another CILLA
She starts off so meek and mild, and then, "with your hand resting in mine...." she demonstrates just how powerful her voice is, with that emotion attached to it. Also, I wanted my hair done just like that when I was entering high school.
@@G6JPG yes, yes, typo.

that is how it should be! I always tell young men instead of searching, let yourself be found! Many many more happy years to you
Goosebumps every time I have ever heard her sing this song. Loved Cilla.
Me too!
As my Mum used to say' She can really belt out a song '
Singing live with no voice correction technology, we were so lucky to have her and others
I think it was mimed...
The Beatles knew a winner when they heard one.
What happened to The Beatles and cilla black?
@@shareefsalih9359 i'm pretty sure the beatles discovered cilla and told brian epstein (their manager) about her
Or was it Sir George Martin?

You would not think the voice of a lone singer could dwarf an accompanying orchestra for power and volume. Yet, here we are.
One of the greatest singer. She is amazing. Thanks.
The hairdo is absolutely beautiful work. I commend whoever did that for her.
You wouldn’t wanna be a wine glass when Cilla hit the power button. My favourite lady singer of all time. lorra luv for ya Cilla in your place on high.
Cilla Black should have had greater success in the United States. Such a powerful voice!
When she she sings " With your hand resting in mine" 0:59 the first time the hairs on the neck stand up, its so powerful.....
I feel it.

Quite agree very emotional song
WOW.
The wonderful voice that could cut Glass.
Sorely missed.
Woah! The decrescendo at the end was amazing, like a gradual wilting of the volume, power and weight of the tone. A great singer.
Stunning performance. One of my all time favorite songs. Cilla owned it.
....and that kids...is how you do it. Wow!
What an amazing talent; also amazing that there's no one around like her today.
Actually I love it when she belts it out, sharp edges and all!!
Me too.
When you make a list of the great English female singers Cilla is right there at the top and beautiful as well. Tragic how she passed!
This song got better the more she sang it. Phrasing and breathing improved ❤❤
So powerful. You just don't expect that little Ole thing to have that kind of power..
I never tire of listening. A crystalline voice & with age, the love of youth.

What a beautiful voice...it makes me cry 😢

She could really belt out a song!!!! From an usherette at the cavern club in Liverpool to this, Cilla simply one of the best voices of the 60's
Cilla, this song, the lyrics, Barbara my beloved departed Wife, me, a lot of tears. God give both of them eternal rest.💔

Beautifully sung. I remember playing this song on my 45 record in the 1960s. An Italian man wrote this song.! Very Powerful!!
