Chamberlain doesn't seem to read their own instructions. The booklet needs to be re-written for more clarity. I saw nothing about the inside button for learn, nor repress it after the motor learning has been accomplished to end the learn session. Make and write your products in the USA! At least it wasn't made in China!

I agree. Push the remote button, push the purple button on motor, push the remote button 3x, the light goes on. Push the remote learn button to end the learning. Push the remote to lift door. Basically, all that needed to be said for a Craftsman 2005 motor. Now, with the chamberlain lift on the other side of the garage, I can open both doors from one remote. I bought two of these for my classic cars collection.
Than you I thought I was the only not reading instructions properly. Much respect for bringing up that point. Host big up yourself!

I want to say thank you very much! Yours is the simplest and best illustrated lesson on how to program the Chamberlain remote. It took less than 25 minutes to get it programmed to my garage and it works very well. I'm sure my neighbors thought I had losted it, because I lifted it up and down a few times (just to make sure). LOL.. Thank you again!

I get that, and I feel bad for how much I use Amazon. But especially where I live, things are so much less expensive and available on Amazon. So it's hard for me to support local stores when for one: they don't have what I want AND if they do, it costs more :/

Hi, I have a chamberlain model # 110WD
manufactured 1991. I read that generic only works for 1993 +. Can you help with this older one? TY

I can program this, but after programming a keyless entry, the remote stops working?
The instructions said NOTHING about opening the cover of the remote...that's what happens when we tax US manufacturing so badly that they have to move overseas. So now we rely on other countries for our products. Stupid US politicians! But thank you Nathan for helping us all 😊

Can you program two sides to one garage? I tried to program right side and it removed program on the left side when it programmed the right. Was I asking for to much?
I don't think that would work. Just use the one side :)
I just moved into into a new home. No openers were left. Bought universal opener. The strange as always is the main chain drive is a Genie but it has a Liftmaster attached to the bottom of main unit. It is loud & proud but I can't program it. Any suggestions without buying a new 1

I've tried this multiple times but I never get the click or activation from the opener. Any ideas what is causing them not to sync up? Using the same Chamberlain remote, with a Craftsman Liftmaster green learn button opener.

Me too! I gave up and ordered a new one. I've had to reconnect this same remote multiple times. Not sure how it looses connection.

We just programmed this remote August 04, 2023. We purchased it to replace a lost remote. Now the original remote does not work. Do we have to reprogram the original remote? And if we reprogram it, will it cancel out this Universal remote? We solved one problem but created another.
I don't know why that happened. The original remote should still work. Only thing I can think of is that the opener is only able to be programmed to a certain amount of remotes and will boot the oldest programed remote. I'd try reprograming the original one and see what happens. If it removes the new one, try again to program the new one. If the original one still doesn't work at that point, I don't know what to say...
@@WintersReviews I figured it out with the help of another video. If you press the learn button for a long time, it deletes the old remote codes. I just have to reprogram the existing remote.

Did you check that theres nothing interfering with the safety sensors?
@@WintersReviews yeah there's nothing. It opens like every other time I try to program it. Then it won't close and the remote does nothing.
