THANK YOU LORD FOR THIS VIDEO! They changed up our neighborhood gate and now nobody’s controllers work so this was really a godsend. I couldn’t figure out how to reprogram my remote, looked all over the internet and couldn’t find instructions. I was so happy when the gate finally opened! Thanks again 👍🏽
Thanks! We have same remote to open garage and it suddenly stopped working after battery change. After doing what you said it works again! You are a gentleman and a scholar! 😁😁😁
Thx. I was about to give up till I saw how many button presses it took you. I programmed mine to an older Versalift garage lift. Got one button programmed to lower the platform then reversed the DIP settings to get the other button to raise it.
Thank you so much for this video!!! I did everything I had to do with the coding and everything and it still wasn’t working and I was very frustrated because it still didn’t work. I am happy to say that thanks to you I am finally able to open my garage with a remote.
What is the model that had the dip switches? I bought one and then bought a second and the newer one is missing the dip switches. The MODEL KLIK5U-BK2 I got doesn't have the dip switches. Not sure if there's a varient in the same model or not.
If your new controller doesn't have DIP switches. Hit the program button til you get the LED. Hit the button you want til it flashes. Wait and do it again. Repeat til your opener lights (must be lights installed) flash twice. Then hit the program button again. Test you opener button. Those I can do, can't figure out if I need to change my dip switches on old remote. All the new ones are programmed, but the old one doesn't work anymore.
Is this a garage entry safety concern? I just used your info to program my chamberlain to my lift master, but now I am concerned anybody could sit outside my garage and click away until it opens. Am I missing something?
I've bought two of these in a row--I thought the first was defective--and there are no actual dip switches in it. The numbers are there, but just a bare circuit board. Am I missing something? Great video otherwise!
Answered my own question. Similar complaints on the Home Depot website. Chamberlain changed the remote without changing the packaging. Recent versions of this don't have dip switches at all.
It’s supposed to be difficult! Otherwise someone would be able to get into your garage whenever they want. Maybe call a garage door company and see if they can help. May need to cut your way in and repair the damage if there is no other way in.

I'm a garage door professional and you helped me out.👍👍👍 thanks
Thank you!! This saved me from continued frustration with repeated attempts at programming my very old garage door opener. Much appreciated!
You explained it sooooo much better than the others (simple & quick) ~ "Thank You" so much!!!!

Thank you so much for this video! This is the first one that has worked. I bought a house where there was no remote and the pin pad was dead.
P😂😂😂w😮
Thank god finally someone to show how to do it!! Thank you
Thank you so much for helping this handy girl!

Thank you, it was 17 button presses for me.
Thank you, your explanation really helped, now it works!
I had to return mine to Menards. When I opened it up, I didn't have the DIP switch panel, it was just exposed motherboard.
So what’d you do?? I have to do this now :,(
Thank you so much for this video!! I finally program my garage opener🙌🙋♀️💓
Thank you !!!!! You simplified it perfectly.
Says he's gonna help me with dip switches. Doesn't explain how to use them.

This is exactly what I needed! Thank you!

My new remote has 10 dip switches but my gate and old remote has 8 will i be able to still program if so what do i do with the last 2 switches?
I bought a chamberlain remote, but it doesn't have any dip switches to set. My old remote has dip switches. Where are the dip switches?
Same here
My receiver has a dip switch but not the controller
If your new controller doesn't have DIP switches.
Hit the program button til you get the LED.
Hit the button you want til it flashes. Wait and do it again. Repeat til your opener lights (must be lights installed) flash twice.
Then hit the program button again.
Test you opener button.

Not a safety concern - an individual attempting to open your gate would also need the exact 12 dip switch code, so no additional security risk.
My LED indicator turns off as soon as I hit a button. Any help?
I had it all except pressing the button until it opened lmao thanks!
You are a god sent. Thank you.
My apartment complex has an 8 dip. Can I use this one since it has 12
Yeah, I believe you just leave the last few in the off position

I have the same issue. Do I need to buy a different one with actual switched. If not, how did you get yours to work?
Amazing! Thanks so much
How do I know how many hits?

I cant get IN my garage! And can't find how to program a remote to a garage that you cant get into

Or just solder them bro if you don’t have the switches 😂 or just set all the switches to open on your opener
