wow this interviewer is so good! she was just charming and not being forceful or integrating with her questions it just seemed like a normal conversation that was really refreshing
I love that, in the movie, the more sound there is the safer and calmer you feel, like at the waterfalls, because it means no creatures are coming, but then when the sound is completely cut off that's when they're standing right behind you.
Cabal Paxiarch YES!! And also the perfect time to grab a huge handful of popcorn 😂😂 the amount of people who just decide to sip on their drink and rustle for a handful of popcorn during the completely silent scenes ughh 😒😒
Maybe I'm just unlucky but I feel like in every recent movie I've gone to, some Ahole fucks around or makes louds noises and ruins the immersion of the experience
No because you are so fucking stupid , that you will let the first guy cheat on you and you will fall for him hard just because no other guy wants you .
@@PotJesus It actually makes so much sense because the girl is obviously desperate for a good relationship. So she will gladly let a guy lie to her , so she can pretend is a good relationship.
Speaking of sound editing, the end slate music is far too loud. XD Loved the interview though! Also, knew the 'slang' queue, like...that exists in English and is easier to see when written and compared to cue (which admittedly is where my mind went but as in 'cue line' for theatre).
Hahaha!!! Emily is soooo funny!!! Hahaha!! Gee!! What a question!!! I liked a lot to imagine that situation!!! They are both great!! Kisses from Spain!!!
I didn't know what a fortnight was until I started watching Premier League football coverage as a teenager. In general Americans just say "2 weeks." Fortnight sounds cool, but it's also complicated. Both terms have 2 syllables, so why not just say "2 weeks"?
No...that doesn't make sense. In your example you're describing different adjectives, which are applicable to different usage situations. Fortnight is a noun. Besides, who says Americans don't use adjectives more descriptive than "happy?" Pick up any novel or newspaper.
The question about the British phrases reminds me of an interview with Emily Mortimer on some US late night TV show. She is also married to an American and she was saying that her husband and in-laws frequently use expressions that she just thought were common things MOST Americans say, only to find out that they're things ONLY his family says. Lol
We know what a queue is. It's just not used when referring to people it's more generally used for things. We would get in a "line" not a "queue" when waiting to checkout at a store. But if we're downloading shows from the internet they would go in the download queue
It's funny how Brits always assume Americans don't know these terms. But if you've spent any time watching British shows in your life, or if you follow Premier League football, these terms are second nature to you. Regional British slang is a whole different animal, though.
caomhan84 I know what a fortnight is, but that's because I had to read a book called Johnny Tremain in school. Its set in Colonial Boston right before the American Revolutionary War and they use a lot of older English expressions. I also *love* Doctor Who and the BBC World News Service.
single child? lol, cause myself, the middle child of 5, you get over that pretty quick. Especially ,when one or more leave you in a dark basement as they run up and away!
The editing of this video is so hilariously unfitting. The way the interviewer and John are not within the same frame is terribly bizarre. The jump cuts and inconsistent backdrops makes the video very uncomfortable.
This is a promotional junket, where actors in a movie usually stay in this room for the better part of the day, while different press interviewers come and go to get these 5 minute interviews. This format, where the actor is in one shot while the interviewer is in the other and they're all sitting in director's chairs is almost always how it goes. If you look up something along the lines of "Emma Stone/Ryan Gosling La La Land Interview" on youtube, you'll find several videos with the same format.
This is how most press junkets are filmed. Watch an interviews for idk...black panther, Star Wars, even movies like goodbye Christopher Robin do it this way.
This couple has dominated UA-cam the last 2 weeks. I didn't even know they were married to each other but I hope they never do another movie together again.
dennylafoss well I mean you don't have to click on them lol. These trends will die soon anyways, I don't see how this should be affecting your daily life. But the movie really is amazing, I can see why people adore this couplem
These two give us serious relationship goals - comment below if you agree!
Yesssss
Comment.
Off Set English hard much? Lol
They really do make an amazing couple, hate to say that after a yank stole our Emily lol
"It's always scary showering with my wife"
*john catches himself*
"Around"
wow this interviewer is so good! she was just charming and not being forceful or integrating with her questions it just seemed like a normal conversation that was really refreshing
Yeah! I hope she'll get bigger and have her own talk show. It's fun to see interview that doesn't make you cringe
I agree!! … I think.
When you say "integrating", how do you mean? 😅
idunnowhatimdoin I think she meant interrogate
Have to say that the interviewer in this is very good- funny, calming, and actually listens to John. Really enjoyed watching this
At 5:15 John gives a 'Jim' look to the camera xD
Ratnadip Das thank you
duhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh XDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD XDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD XDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD
tuna tuna tuna...
Ratnadip Das wen u get n a habit...
really hoping hes in the office reboot but pam has to be there to
I noticed after watching the movie no one leaving theater made a sound! How funny.
How lucky. When I saw I had a group of idiots that were eating chips.
i had a bunch of teens that kept yelling at certain points of the movie
That’s hilarious 🤣 that movie had me holding my breath for half the time 😩
LITERALLY! Except one person got so scared then only thing I heard was her popcorn fly everywhere which made me laugh 😂
Agree with everyone else-love the interviewer! Very natural and seemed to put him at ease.
I like how John habitually looks at the camera...like Jim does
This
What a great interviewer !!

jrose7000 People who bought popcorn didn't foresee how quiet A Quiet Place would actually be.
That's pretty much true for all suspense movies.
John seems like such a great guy to interview.
Craig Fitzpatrick John seems like a great guy in general
You gotta see it with a crowd.
Note taken.
Maybe I'm just unlucky but I feel like in every recent movie I've gone to, some Ahole fucks around or makes louds noises and ruins the immersion of the experience
"Because Shakespeare said so!" 😂
This is a really great interview, perfect mix of questions about the movie and personal questions.
That was a really good interview. She had original questions which was great.
ive seen a lot of interviews by her and she is just amazing
can i have a relationship like that?
beatrix baudelaire lmao
No because you are so fucking stupid , that you will let the first guy cheat on you and you will fall for him hard just because no other guy wants you .
@@PotJesus How exactly do I remind you of him ? Please explain to me your pathetic excuse of an insult .
@@PotJesus It actually makes so much sense because the girl is obviously desperate for a good relationship. So she will gladly let a guy lie to her , so she can pretend is a good relationship.
"I don't know what I think, I just know it's the worst thing ever." Quote of my fucking life
Great interview :)
One of two interviewers........ever.........who are pleasant and NOT overbearing.
he is so lovely.. i love that he gets scared in the shower :D
Fortnight and Queue are slang? I thought they were a part of conventional usage...
Speaking of sound editing, the end slate music is far too loud. XD Loved the interview though! Also, knew the 'slang' queue, like...that exists in English and is easier to see when written and compared to cue (which admittedly is where my mind went but as in 'cue line' for theatre).
This film was very exciting and scary. Great film and beautiful message.
What a great interviewer :]
I like the interviewer, so good!
He's such a witty guy!
Hahahaha, turning the sound off was my trick too
He saw Psycho when he was young.
5:15 LMAOOO
Hahaha!!! Emily is soooo funny!!! Hahaha!! Gee!! What a question!!! I liked a lot to imagine that situation!!! They are both great!! Kisses from Spain!!!
Wait.. Americans don't use fortnight? I'm Australian, I thought it was just universally part of the English language...
Fortnight sounds like an evening watching a John Wayne film marathon.
All countries that were part of the commonwealth use it because we were all taught 'British English" (Im from South Africa & we use it too)
I didn't know what a fortnight was until I started watching Premier League football coverage as a teenager. In general Americans just say "2 weeks." Fortnight sounds cool, but it's also complicated. Both terms have 2 syllables, so why not just say "2 weeks"?

he is so adorable!!!
I regret not seeing A Quiet Place in theatres now. I just usually never see horrors or thrillers so..
Very good interviewer. And of course Krasinskis the bomb as always.
The best movie i haveseen in a very long time!
Yes, Emily, thank you so much for revealing that to the public. I hope he locks the bathroom door from now on.
Wow Jim really had a glow up
The question about the British phrases reminds me of an interview with Emily Mortimer on some US late night TV show. She is also married to an American and she was saying that her husband and in-laws frequently use expressions that she just thought were common things MOST Americans say, only to find out that they're things ONLY his family says. I freaking love him
She´s a great interviewer!
Because the shower is your most private sanctum.
Good interview.
Hmm, every time I've used the term "cream crackered", it meant something totally different....
I know the reason. He watched Psycho when he was 2 years old.
Lol Josh had trauma watching Psycho during childhood
Awesome!
John was traumatized in the shower as a child. He's suppressed the events.
John: Holy Moses
Jim: Holy Moes
they need to interview offset on this youtube channel
Dumbest joke ive seen .
Ok yeah. I'm in love.
Was expecting Migos..
she did go bright red
hes a scardy cat yet he directed a scary movie
Not gonna lie, thought it was going to be a migos related question and john was going to say offset, then I realized it was the name of the channel
4:32 a Fort... wat was that?
xMADPIGx *Fortnight, it means a longer period of time, like 2 weeks or so, it's a British term than us Americans don't use in casual conversation.
Emily can definitely walk in while I'm in the shower
William Chapa Maybe if she wanted to vomit
Archington 😂😂😂
you can tell he got a bit passive aggressive that she revealed that shit XD
He’s a scarde cat because of Dwight and his snowball attacks.
4:31 am I the only person who heard “A Fortnite”
I love John
Hahaha! I can relate to that because my wife has scared me like that a few times. Lol!
you'll always be Jim
LOL my boyfriend is the same way, no matter what he freaks out when you walk in the bathroom while he showers😂
Waw, as a person who has been studying English as a second language, I am surprised that American don't know fortnight and queue.
We know what a queue is. It's just not used when referring to people it's more generally used for things. We would get in a "line" not a "queue" when waiting to checkout at a store. But if we're downloading shows from the internet they would go in the download queue
You're probably learning British English! You're ahead of the Americans.
Two nations separated by 5000 miles and 400 years.
Andrew2014 Smietanski who says we don't know??😂
Wow....she looks exactly like Abbie Cornish.
Wait so they are actually a family in real life?
I'm telling Pam
At lego land they say que line to refer to the waiting line for the register.
It's funny how Brits always assume Americans don't know these terms. But if you've spent any time watching British shows in your life, or if you follow Premier League football, these terms are second nature to you. Regional British slang is a whole different animal, though.

All I see is a Jim Halpert.
Who else thought his wife's question would have something to do with John and Jenna fischer?
Like the movie.... A bathroom too is *A Quiet Place*
I'm the same way- I'm such a scaredy cat! :)
He is scared maybe because he is using his hand and the wifey walks in during shower! That's the only reason I could think of.
It's okay big tuna
Why is this me?
Has Pam been faking an American accent this whole time?
Bates motel maybe?
single child? lol, cause myself, the middle child of 5, you get over that pretty quick. Especially ,when one or more leave you in a dark basement as they run up and away!
Emily Blunt's?
i do that too with scary movies. sound off
A fortnite is that what she said
I've seen a few of this girl's interviews and i do think they're quite good but the teenage hair-slightly-over-the-eye look is grating
The editing of this video is so hilariously unfitting. The way the interviewer and John are not within the same frame is terribly bizarre. The jump cuts and inconsistent backdrops makes the video very uncomfortable.

Yeah let's focus on that
Overthinking much?
He said fortnite ha ha ha ha see guys he said fortnite guys guys ha ha Mom Dad why are you disowning me ha ha ha

3:32 does she say Fortnite?
Extreme Advanced Yeah fortnight meaning 2 weeks
Jaden Dhesi o
Extreme Advanced I heard that as well mate😂
Am I the only person that gets scared to close there eyes in the shower?
He thinks its Pam. Jk
This couple has dominated UA-cam the last 2 weeks. I didn't even know they were married to each other but I hope they never do another movie together again.
? why? to save their relationship? or did you not like the movie LOL
lol... I'm just already sick of seeing them all over youtube, haven't seen the movie yet but I plan to
dennylafoss well I mean you don't have to click on them lol. These trends will die soon anyways, I don't see how this should be affecting your daily life. But the movie really is amazing, I can see why people adore this couplem
The afraid cobweb byerly kneel because low rheologically compete within a likeable ease. meaty, careless mint
not shitting on the interviewer but what is she wearing? like a tank top over a shirt? i mean u do u just not flattering or professional looking imo
