I can tell you took the 19 hours to put it all together. Great effort, would like to hear it be a bit bass heavier, and a little more distortion may fill in some of the negative space that you have here and there. Thanks for sharing!
Thanks so much for the comment! I'm really glad to see someone giving me helpful tippers. I guess I really didn't look into the bass much. I don't exactly understand on what you mean by "negative space" though, and would be happy if you filled me in. I really appreciate the advice :)
I made the lead sound using a combination of a PoiZone and a Nexus preset, tweaked several parameters, then added Parametric EQ. The kick was made simply using a 3xOsc preset and adding EQ. The snare was sampled from the Linkin Park song itself. As for the guitar, I used a preset in Nexus called Guitar Fuzz 2. Parametric EQ, then used Hardcore (free VST that comes in FL) for more realistic distortion. Also, I added Fruity Phaser to widen the stereo. Oh, and I never made a tutorial.. O_o
Thanks for the comment, glad you enjoyed it :) As for the flp, I don't share them but I would be happy to tell you exactly how to get a specific sound based on what I have.
The "chord synth" pattern (very first thing you hear), in Nexus, used the preset LD Toshingo (found in XP Dance Vol. 2 expansion) And also layered with a random pad. For the "lead synth" pattern I used a layering of the PoiZone preset KBD Bellarina TC and the Nexus preset (Dance Leads > LD Ride Me Hard). The other use of PoiZone is at Mike's rap part (2:28), in which the synth was only made of the DEFAULT PoiZone preset. Thanks for the comment :)
Funny enough, I know exactly what you're describing. Unfortunately I can't tell you how it was "made" because I didn't actually make it, but I will try to explain how I brought it into the track. From the original Burn It Down song, I sampled parts of the song in which only that sound was playing (nothing behind it) using Edison. I pieced together the parts so they would flow correctly as they do in the OST, fading and combining sound waves as necessary, then formed a 3/4 time signature pattern.
