- Watch with me this beautiful colourful bird diving in to the canal to catch fish. Includes a cormorant swallowing an enormous fish!
The Journey started here... I once lived in the fast lane of life, happily married of 26 years, with two children. That chapter was suddenly shattered by the sudden loss of my wife to cancer, which led me in to depression and homelessness. Waking up in hospital, after attempting to take my own life, with just a suitcase, kayak and bicycle and no money, I've managed to rise up out of the darkness and find happiness and continue my next chapter.
I'm a self taught film maker, and creating these vlogs, it gives me something to do, share my personal experiences as I continue my journey cruising and living life on the canal. Please do consider supporting my channel below... Thank you Dave

Many thanks again Dave. Due to lock down and quarantine rules i have not been home to England for over two years now. I live in Sweden. But in two weeks time i get to come back. I will then spend some time with my friend on his boat on the sharpness canal close to the slimbridge wild fowl trust. there i have a good chance to see a kingfisher. my balcony overlooks a river and a kingfisher flew to the centre of the river, then acted like a jump jet. it hovered, flew up and hovered and did that again. then it dived straight down into the river and caught a fish. unforgettable.

So love any quick glimpse of a beautiful kingfisher, flying along the canals by you. Such a vibrant tropical colored species. Here in the Southern States lakes, we see frequent, a belted kingfisher. A slate blue tosseled top and back, with an ivory white belly. There are belted bands across the belly in slate blue shades. There's one lake nearby with it's many trails, has it's own bald 🦅 nest perched high in an Oak tree. I some times see the eagle watch the kingfisher dive into to water. I love all types of nature watching. Thank you for this lovely peaceful flow journey!🇺🇲🌿💚🦅💚🌿

Thank you for watching and commenting. The out of focus then back focus and out again was me, I was in manual focus mode just left it in. True action shots I suppose. That's if you mean a shots of the Kingfisher. 🙏
