Lake Bled looks absolutely beautiful... very inviting! The view from the castle is breathtaking! The cave train looks like a lot of fun but not recommended for tall people.
Beautiful Place! Yes, you are indeed lucky to be able to live like this. I know its not every day that you get to explore castles and caves but it is the result of the the decision, dedication and discipline you have put into it that made it happen. Kudos to you! The cave tour reminded me of the times that I explored Mammoth Cave when I was younger. You have to walk through the caves here. There are over 350 miles of marked paths for tourists. I think I have seen most of it, but in reality its probably more like half of it.
The tour guide mentioned Mammoth Cave, apparently, it is the largest in the world. I found out that the caves I went on are the largest in Europe. It was incredible inside, and the train was so much fun.
Mammoth Cave is the longest cave and probably the largest. It was on the list of top 10 Wonders of the World when I was a kid, but I don't think its even on the top 100 list now. It's still just as spectacular as it ever was. The stalagmites and stalagtites in some of the areas are awesome beyond words! You just cant take a boat on the underground river anymore is all that has changed and it really wasnt that big of a deal when you could. It was just an oddity (and a little scary) to be able to do that.
If you like caves and you come in Slovenia some day.Close to Postojna cave are two other cave system that are in my opinion even better then cave in Postojna, and are less then 30min away. First that i would recommend is Škocjan caves it's on UNESCO's list of natural and cultural world heritage site as one of the natural treasures of planet Earth. Second one is Križna jama (Cross Cave) there are around 40 underground lakes and it's really nice and magical place, and i would recommend long 4h tour ;)
Slovenia is my second home, "Dom je tam kjer je Serce". translates roughly as "Home is where the heart is". I feel more at home here than at home in the UK. The people make the country. Please do re visit Slovenia has much more to offer.
I wonder if Sir David ever farted on camera..... How many tourists have been beheaded in that cave? Apart from the sound effects, it looked stunning and such great weather to enjoy it!
Of course, Sir David has farted on camera, he just has better editors to filter it out! Hah. Now that I think about it, I am really surprised that no warning was given about some of the areas of the cave tour. It was a stunning day. Thanks for the comment! :)
Gorgeous! Did you fall asleep in the cave? lol That looked very unsafe to have to duck your head....I see others have commented on this as well and you have adequately responded. :)
Hey, I'd love to buy a drone, and it is something I am thinking about. I'm waiting until I start to make a little more money from my channel and then will re-invest that into better equipment. Decent drones aren't cheap, sadly! :)
I wish I had won the lottery, hah. No, I work and travel so usually spend a month in one place and then move on. Over the last week though I've been travelling back to the UK via train, rather than flying.
Thank you for showing us these beautiful places, really amazing.

Yes, if you're tall, you'll be ducking a lot! Lake Bled is stunning, would love to go back and explore more of Slovenia, possibly in 2017!

Nice. How did you do both lake bled and caves on the same day? Aren't they in the opposite direction of Ljubljana?
Yes, it was an organised trip. A long day of sightseeing but saw a lot in the time I was there.

Thankfully, I didn't have to duck my head but yes, it was a little crazy and the train ran for about 3 miles underground, was good fun.
ExploreList Yes, thankfully. :) 3 miles sounds like a very good time!
Did you fart at 0.47 ? hahaha
Guilty as charged. Actually laughing my arse off right now, how did I miss that in the edit.
hahahaaa!!!!
Well, I can say I have tested the internal microphone of the Canon G7X Mark II.
You could have said that was the boat rubbing against the dock and we would have believed you :-)
Bwahahaa
can you buy a drone to enhance your videos?
