I have being there a few years ago. It was one of my favorite places, peaceful, the island is great! To claim all the steps and get a delicious ice cream. See the swans flooting in the lake..it is a dream, beautiful experience!
I wish this video was made just a few weeks earlier. We definitely would have made time to stay at Lake Bled much longer. But, now I have an excuse to return to Slovenia. Thanks for the video!
Excellent work on this video! This is on my bucket list of places to visit and of all the videos on Lake Bled that I've watched, this was the most helpful and informative. Appreciated the nice variety of viewing perspective from around the island!
Another great video thank you. Do you know if the bus up to the Castle and the restaurants up there operate all year round or not please, as I’d love to get the bus up there for sunset then walk down after dark, but I’ll be there at the very end of October? Cheers from Australia
@@rokgoesaround I’m ok with rainy days I like to stare out the windows on a rainy day and pretend I’m sad like they do in the old school R&B music videos 😂 I just want to see Slovenia it looks like a real hidden European gem
Hi Rok l thank you for the nice video ! I am planning to visit Crotia and Sloivenia this summer , and of Course Bled Lake, and have a swim there , I am wondering if it is better to stay in Ljubljana and visit the lake as a day trip or stay n Bled and visit Ljubljana from there ... Could yoiu advise me ?
Depends... If you stay in Bled Lake and you have some time to kill you can swim in the lake. On the other hand Ljubljana offers more cultural things, restaurants, shops,... But in any case they are not far apart so both options are good. But if you plan to also visit other places in Slovenia and do more day trips, Ljubljana is a much better option.
Not sure if u no where I mean but there’s a bench somewhere overlooking the entire island and lake that you have to hike to? I’m going to Lake Bled in May is this spot difficult to hike or get to?
Hi Rok, thank you for this video, it's very informative and the views are amazing. Could you tell me please: is there any other inclusive way to get to the old church in the island except the 99 steps? For example a ramp or a smooth hillside?
Thanks. Glad you like it. Unfortunately steps are the only way as far as I remember. There are 2 stairways, each one on the opposite side of the church.
Hi Rok, is mid May warm enough to swim at the lake? Normally I prefer to travel at the temperature around 20-25 C Can you suggest when is the best time to travel there?
on a sunday is it possible to go to the lake in the morning by bus from ljubljiana bus station and return from the lake back to Ljubljiana by afternoon?I'm kind of concerned how i will get back to ljubljiana from the lake..if there are bus routes on a sunday etc
@@rokgoesaround Thank you for this link! Can you perhaps sent me also a link of the bus station in Bled lake so I can see until what time I could go back to Ljubljana from there;
Another great video! Can you provide a link to the youtube video with the restaurant you recommend for the best Kremsnita in Bled? I recall seeing but I can't find it. Thanks and enjoy your travels.
@@rokgoesaround thanks. But I think there was one where you were sitting in a restaurant which you said had the best kremsnita. I think it was in the direction of the bus station from the lake.
Top level presentation in all dimensions
Thanks. Appreciated 🤗

Unbelievably beautiful! I wonder what is the weather like around mid April?
Usually you can expect a some rainy days and even a little bit of snow. I would wait till May.

It is called Mala Osojnica and it is a nice hike through the forest, nothing extreme.
When was this video shot? We are planning to go in mid April!
This was in May.

Thanks for asking. In my opinion it is to cold to swim in the lake until mid June. But for visiting and hiking mid May is perfect and not to crowded.

Yes, I believe that is an option. You should check this official bus station Ljubljana website with all timetables www.ap-ljubljana.si/en/

👍🇸🇮
Are you allowed to swim to the island?
Yes of course.
Could you fly a drone at Lake Bled?
There are limitations, but if you have a licence it is possible under certain conditions.
✌️🇸🇮
Kremšnita je originalna samo iz Šmona(zdaj preimenovan v Zino) in ne iz Park hotela...
Swimming is not allowed everywhere, there are alloted swimming grounds.
